Seven is just a really really good movie. Magical cast and performances. Just a dark dark crime horror flick. Solid.

I’ll never forget watching this movie with my sister, her husband and my grandmother - tough old bird and she wasn’t fazed at all but man a few of those scenes were uncomfortable with grandma sitting right there.

If you can get through this movie without crying at the end when the two sisters reunite at Cooperstown, you’re a stronger dude than I am. I freely admit I bawled. Actually the entire movie is about the rivalry between the two girls. Buts it’s great fun and one of the better baseball films ever made.

Agreed, which is the exception for Madonna, not the rule but she was reined in well here. This is also Rosie O'Donnell's best movie by far

Exactly so. Even as Susan (desperately seeking), I couldnt take her, or in much else. But she was just right here.... Lol... Some line like, oops bosom, was perfect. And yeah! Rosie was much less Rosie here and also got it right.

Sure in 2025, the idea of A League of their Own and especially that cast just seems absolutely horrible. But. Here me out. In 1992 it was a decent movie.

Great, dark film based on the David Mamet play, with an all star cast. This is “Death of a Salesman” on steroids and everyone is terrific. Side note: in a few weeks I will be seeing the play revived on Broadway, Check out this cast: Kieran Culkin, Bob Odendirk, Bill Burr, Michael McKean. That’s as good as the movie cast, IMO.

You should. It is a good baseball movie with some iconic lines. Lovitz is hilarious and would have liked to have him in it a bit more. He was great in the parts he was in.I have never had any desire to watch A League of Their Own.

Yeah, not to pile on, but Se7en is a movie that should be well outside of my enjoyment zone. I don't tend to like movies with an overly dark take on man, I don't tend to like movies with gross scenes, and I don't really like Brad Pitt as an actor. But even with all that Se7en's one of my favorite movies of the 90s. Just tremendously well done.

Lovitz is not the issue/issues. I probably could have handled watching Madonna and Rosie back in 1992 but that ship has long since sailed.I really dislike Lovitz, but he is great here.You should. If anyone ever happens to pass through Rockford, Illinois, there’s a pretty cool museum dedicated to women’s baseball there.
I was also looking for a Cheap Trick museum in the town, to no avail.

Normally I have an effenhemier threshold with movies. If there get to be too many I'll turn off the movie.
But the F-word is a character of its own in GGR. It signifies the desperation in the men and shows how much they're unprepared to swim with the Alec Baldwin/Blake-type sharks. The word sounds absolutely phony coming out of their mouths. They know it, and so do we. So it actually adds to the performances and story.
