Good to see that you are seeing what is obvious and agree with me.Sure he is
Merry Christmas, Love, Cam.Good thing he is such a beast running the ball, cause he is a crappy passer.
IIRC he has 11 TDs to 1 int since the Chicago game. And he has had several games with a QBR over 100.Good to see that you are seeing what is obvious and agree with me.![]()
People see what they want to see.IIRC he has 11 TDs to 1 int since the Chicago game. And he has had several games with a QBR over 100.
Yeah you had to figure there was a lot more.People see what they want to see.
I also understand there is an in depth story coming out about jerry that is going to look hiroshima bad. Dude thought he was the king.
He also has 8 games this season with a passer rating (which I assume you meant) under 72, and his QBR for the season is 52.2, which is 20th best this season among QBs who are eligible.IIRC he has 11 TDs to 1 int since the Chicago game. And he has had several games with a QBR over 100.
I hope you realize his shoulder was gimpy at the beginning of the year but again people just see what they want to with Cam.He also has 8 games this season with a passer rating (which I assume you meant) under 72, and his QBR for the season is 52.2, which is 20th best this season among QBs who are eligible.
Like I said earlier, he is awesome at running the ball considering he is a QB, but he is a crappy passer. His inconsistency is more than obvious. With his arm and size, he should be a great passer, but he's not. He misses tons of easy throws on a regular basis.
Was it gimpy two days ago when he threw for 160 yards, 0 touchdowns and 1 pick against a bad TB defense?I hope you realize his shoulder was gimpy at the beginning of the year but again people just see what they want to with Cam.
Pretty obvious you didnt watch the gameGhost Rider said:Was it gimpy two days ago when he threw for 160 yards, 0 touchdowns and 1 pick against a bad TB defense?
I didn't need to; I have seen enough of Newton's games over the years to know that he is an inconsistent thrower of the football. Inconsistent is probably the word I should have used rather than crappy (since he does make throws that are great, which is why the many he misses are mystifying).Pretty obvious you didnt watch the game
I don't think anyone in this thread will deny he's inconsistent.I didn't need to; I have seen enough of Newton's games over the years to know that he is an inconsistent thrower of the football. Serious question: do you really think he is a consistent passer?

His 11 TDs to 2 Ints over the last 6 games is the best in the NFL in that span. And he has averaged nearly a 95 passer rating in that span.pantherclub said:No. But that doesn't make him a bad passer.
His passer rating was under 66 in 3 of those 6 games, hence the inconsistency I was referring to. And he threw for under 200 yards in 4 of those 6 games. And yet overall in those 6 games the team.is 5-1 and his TD to interception ratio is the best in the league. This isn't a pass happy offense. It is a power running offense there are going to be days when the passing yardage is going to be low. As I said Newton is inconsistent and streaky no argument but he is playing within the system so low yardage games should be expected even when he is on. Hard to fault him for that. Rivera and company would run the ball every play if they thought they could and win.His passer rating was under 66 in 3 of those 6 games, hence the inconsistency I was referring to. You can't run a pass happy when you have an inconsistent (and often times, crappy) passer. Rivera is a run first/defense type of coach anyway, so it's a good fit. With that defense, the less Cam throws the ball, the better shape the team is in.And yet overall in those 6 games the team.is 5-1 and his TD to interception ratio is the best in the league. I don't think you wanted the Rams. At home to Atlanta would have been best.Wow that was ugly. Saints are going to crush us by 20. Wish we could have gotten LA or Atlanta at home.
I could be wrong, but would prefer their inexperience over Brees. Also the Saints have crushed us twice this year. I also think we could handle Gurley better than Kamara. Lastly, Saints have a far superior home field crowd.I don't think you wanted the Rams. At home to Atlanta would have been best.
I take solace in the historical fact that it is very hard to beat a team 3 times in one season, that perhaps everyone was a little too comfy knowing they were in regardless and that the loss took that out of them. We'll see I guess. But there is no doubt it won't be easy.BassNBrew said:I could be wrong, but would prefer their inexperience over Brees. Also the Saints have crushed us twice this year. So the Atlanta defense didn't have to worry much about Panthers receivers as there was no one capable of taking the top off the defense. You cover the underneath and don't worry about someone getting behind you. This situation issue to injuries of course. Maybe it's time to bring in a familiar face that excelled in our last playoff run at receiver, Philly Brown. He has the speed, he knows the offense and he has proven himself in big games. Seems like a no brainier to me.
Sounds good. Upgrade the receiving corps through FA and draft like hell for guys on the olineSo what would we think of bringing Jimmy Graham in? He's a pretty likely free agent and he would add a playmaker to an offense that loves throwing to the tight end.

Gonna be uglyWe have any chance at all today panther fans? Cannot imagine a scenario outside of Brees getting hurt in warmups and even then its iffy with their run game. I will watch but expect a 14 point loss
No he sucks at blocking. Wouldn’t fit the scheme wellSo what would we think of bringing Jimmy Graham in? He's a pretty likely free agent and he would add a playmaker to an offense that loves throwing to the tight end.
Expand how you think we can win? If its. Shoot out i do not like our chancesNah, we have a good chance of knocking them off. Offense will play better today and we win by 3.
There is always a chance. The teams know each other well. If the offense and defense are on their game, the cats can win. Sure there is a chance but this is probably the worst team we match up with in the nfl. We have a weak passing game and the have some good corners. We have struggled at stopping the run and they excel at it. And then there is their passing game and we cannot seem to get pressure on him due to his quick release so that eliminates our X factor pass rush. Pulling hard for the cats but man it's an uphill battle. There is always a chance. The teams know each other well. If the offense and defense are on their game, the cats can win. I know it's an uphill battle and we don't match up against them very well. But I believe if Cam is on and determined, he is very hard to stop. I'm hoping he has fixed his, whatever it was that caused him to sail the ball last week, issue and they can establish some type of run game. Don't want a shootout either as that is gauranteed lights out. I feel like the defense will play better against Ingram and their run game. If we can keep it close (sub 24 pts allowed) and have a chance late in the 4th, we'll win by a FG. If they can't slow down Ingram/Kamara, then we're toast. I'm hoping for a pick 6 or sack fumble TD from the defense and/or a big play on special teams. Hey, gotta have hope!Expand how you think we can win? If its. Shoot out i do not like our chances
There are lots of clowns in the this forum that have hated Cam since he was drafted. I ignore them.Ugh Funchess should have made that catch. They gave it a good game. Could have won it. I was watching that game thread, and the Cam hate in it is just weird. What a bunch of assholes constantly demeaning Cam.
All he had to do was move forward some. Oh well. The ball was gift wrapped for funchess to win it. What Happened there? Go up and fight for the ball!
Me too. But I could see ATL vs NO in the NFC championship back in new Orleans. Pulling for the Vikings though.I will be rooting for the Vikings to represent the NFC.
In the heat of the moment, the natural reaction of a defensive player is to intercept it. I am actually surprised the Panthers did as well as they did this year, and most of it was without Olsen. It was a disappointing ending since Funchess should have caught that, but we had a surprisingly good season.I don't get why the INT wasn't reviewed. Had it been the WR catching it it would have gone through a 10 minute review. Wtf? BTW, why not knock the ball down, genius? Holy crap, you're an NFL player. Again, WTF?
Maybe. Benjamin dropped a critical pass in the Bills game, and Funchess runs a better route tree, and knows all the WR positions unlike Benjamin. I don't think the Panthers were good enough to go all the way, but it is just disappointing when we had a real chance to win this game. The off-season will be interesting in seeing who will be the owners, etc.Benjamin sure would have been helpful at the end.
Well I disagree there. I played DB (at a much lower level, of course) and I can tell you that those guys know the situation. They even had a timeout before the play to go over the situation. No reason to make that mistake. In the heat of the moment, the natural reaction of a defensive player is to intercept it. LOL. I was just getting ready to post that. Benjamin already home down one big game winning catch. Nother bang up job by KearnyLOL. I was just getting ready to post that.
