The Audible LIVE! 10/6/2011 - 10pm ET 2hours of greatness (1 Viewer)

I'm going to bring up the poor offensive line play again this week. It's been awful this year.

Is it possible that the lockout has hurt offensive line play more than other positions? Like they need to work together longer in order to gel?

Either way, do think it's possible that offensive line play may improve as the season goes on? (A certain team that may improve?)

Good evening guys, looking forward to another great show! Some dynasty advice would be greatly appreciated-just picked up Cam Newton and a 2012 1st and 3rd round pick for VJax and Fitzpatrick, I own him for 6 years now, and was wondering about his potential in both the short and long term. Thanks, and have a motorboating night!!

Cecil:

2 drops we need more of:

Flacco - "Hey whats up fellas"

Sanchez - "Ask me about my Weiner!!"

Wondering if there is any update on Vincent Jackson's injury this week? Would Tolbert see more targets if VJAX has to sit this one out?

Hey guys, I'm a first year subscriber and loving it. Keep up the good work. I've got two quick questions here:

1. I've got to drop one of these guys: Crabtree, Garcon, or B. Scott? Whom do I drop and who has the most upside?

For whatever it's worth, I'm pretty solid at RB so I was leaning towards cutting Scott simply b/c Benson's suspension may get reduced, and Benson is sure to take over when he comes back.

2. We've been hearing a lot of buzz on this Jackie Battle guy in KC. Haley seems pretty high on him. What are your thoughts? Could he be this years Peyton Hillis? Worth a stash in a 10 team league?

Why do you think Ingram has not yet had that breakout game yet?

What is the potential he may never have that breakout game this season?

Does he go down as one of the most over-hyped up fantasy nothings in a redraft (I understand in dynasty he probably will be good)?

I'm heavily invested in Ingram but a few things that I felt were overlooked.

1. Peyton's History of sharing the load.

2. Peyton's fascination of having a satellite RB (always wanted Reggie to fill this role)

3. NO not playing with a lead enough

4. Ingram not having break away speed (he needs to chew up yards at a consistent basis won't break off long runs in a game).

I love the show and I love the insight you guys provide every week and I also love the fact you can admit when you were wrong.

Question is: Were you wrong about Ingram?

Alright you 'ol sailors, you...I'm looking at some QB decisions this week in light of byes and potentially good matchups, so I'd appreciate it if you could talk a little about some "swing for the fences" QB potential:

In place of Romo I can play either McNabb or Painter, both have good matchups but "old guy+experience" vs "young guy-experience" is scary either way.

Also looking at Freeman vs Matty Ice. If Orton can put up almost 300 yrds & 3 TDs on GB, Ryan could explode...but he hasn't exactly done a whole lot yet.

I've even an option to play Hasselbeck over Schaub...no AJ and Hasselbeck has been scoring pretty consistently...

Thanks

Couple of QB questions:

Stafford vs. Chicago or Newton vs. New Orleans?

and

Big Ben vs. Tennessee or one of Campbell/TJackson/McNabb/Painter?

Hey Guys, what is your feeling about starting your QB (Big Ben) vs your Defense (TEN), both are my TOP choices but one cancels the other.

My other options at QB from the WW are D. McNabb, Matt Cassel, Jason Campbell or Tarvaris Jackson.

Thanks

Hey Audible Crew - Love the 2-hour show each thursday and the WW/Wrap-up podcasts during the week are invaluable tools to get ready for the next set of games.

Looking into the FBG crystal ball for RBs, what young RBs do you see having the best chance to be an RB2 or higher in 2012?

Ridley/Vereen - Is Vereen the most complete/talented back on the team? Could go from seldom-used to the most touches rather quickly?

K.Hunter - Would Gore need a severe injury for Hunter to get a majority of touches?

B.Powell - Got to get a shot over the middling Greene by the end of the year, right?

Hardesty - Already getting 50/50 share, drafted to be the lead back.

Helu - Torain a short-term RB, Hightower an average (but all-around) RB

Spiller - I like what I've seen in limited snaps, but Jackson playing out of his mind right now.

D.Carter - Addai looking 5 years younger right now. Will Peyton request his services in 2012 if he returns, delaying Carter's full-time chance?

Thanks in advance, guys.

As an Army trumpet player, I give tribute to Mikel LeShoure with the playing of Taps, with the soft drone of a motorboat in the distant.

Love the show guys

Frustrated S. Holmes owner here. I have talked to Sigmund about this on Twitter (@FakePlasticTune) and he keeps suggesting to hold, with a juicy matchup against NE this week.

What's the deal with his play so far this year? Is it Sanchez? Lingering Injury? Matchups? Any chance he takes off and becomes a #1 Fantasy WR this year?

Thanks guys

I thought I had put together a team that could compete for a championship back in May in this dynasty league.

I already had 3 great WR's in Andre Johnson, Wallace and Dez then I traded for Medenhall to add to Stewart who I thought was going to have the Carolina job to himself.

This season has been a disaster because of injuries and under performance so do you try and tough it out and sneak into the playoffs and hope you get everyone back or do you try and get better for next year with a pre-emptive strike in trading players now and try and land the up and coming stars before their value goes up knowing you are throwing this year away ?

I am 2-2 and will be without Mendenhall, Andre Johnson, Hightower (coach) for who knows how long. I don't have Dez who is on bye as well this week.

I am left with a line up this week of Rivers, Stewart, Redman, Wallace, Meachem, Mike Thomas, Colston and V-Davis.

These are dynasty leagues with 20 man max rosters so I have no depth beyond these players to help me unless I get a lucky waiver wire pick up or make a trade.

Do I try and make it through the next 3-4 weeks and hope everyone comes back strong or waive the white flag now and start looking to the future ?

Thanks!

I vote that you talk a little about Sam Bradford. What to do w/ him in both redraft and dynasty. Where would he rank going forward in dynasty? How soon can he move into QB1 territory?

What do you make of Michael Turner for the rest of the year? He's had pretty solid #s so far but he looks slower and his YPC isn't pretty. Only his game vs the generous Philly D was a solid all round effort. Slow start or beginning of the end for him and time to thinking of him more as a low end RB2? Beanie, Bradshaw, Blount, Hillis, Felix poised to outperform him?

Please hit on this fellas and what type of RB or WR you would drop for him. Thanks!

what's up guys!

3 questions.

1. No one has brought up Sage Rosenfels. At this point he's backing up Moore. I thought the Fins would've finally traded for Orton which would have appeased Orton and the Tebow fans in Denver. :P But I digress, what are your thoughts on Rosenfels? I think he's a better QB for Marshall because he doesn't lose confidence despite mistakes, INTs, etc.

2. Can you guys discuss any areas in which we have more clarity from the first 4 weeks of the season? What have you gleaned so far from Ingram, Bryant, etc? Are there any guys that we should be watching? Who still has the highest upside among deep RBs or WRs? For example Mangold is practicing does that mean Powell might be active. What about SF looking at Jalen Parmele, Nance, etc?

3. Not many people have talked about CJ2k not having Hall to block for him. How much is his performance so far his own doing (hitting the hole slower and showing less interest) vs. not having Hall to block for him? Hall is coming back this week so I'm interested to see how CJ will do.

Thanks guys!

Mario Manningham. Please discuss. We've had a great thread going and think this is a make or break week for him. Is that the case?

I have Foster, F. Jones, Ingram, McGahee and Lynch for RB's (Start 2), but I am dying at WR/TE (Start 3) from injuries/byes with Gates, A Hernandez, VJAX, Witten and Nelson. If Hernandez does not play this weekend I won't be able to field a full roster with Gates and Witten also not playing this weekend.

I was thinking of trying to shop one of my RB's, most likely McGahee, for a WR/TE. Is McGahee the right back to move and who should I be looking for as a fair trade?

I also have the option of dropping Lynch and picking up Antonio Brown, Tony Gonzalez, Cruz, Crabtree or Little. I like the idea of picking up Brown as I think he's the better long term option of the WR/TE's available, but I need someone this week and I don't think his outlook against Tennessee is more favorable than some of my other options.

Scoring: 10 points for 100+ yards rec/rush. Bonus for length and out of position TD's. Keep it classy.

Hey guys, love the show! Want to hear your take on the Rams WR situation. When should we be looking at Mark Clayton coming of the PUP list. Also, what's your thoughts on Petis taking over the slot receiver position from Amendola? Keep up the good work. It's really helping me motorboat my league...

Wisc= Wisconsin Badgers stl= Saint Louis Rams atl= Atlanta Braves mia= Miami Heat ....lol

Anywho.. I'm very interested to hear who your top 5s are at RB and WR based off of pure talent (no situation taken into account).

Love the show guys, you guys talking fantasy football is poetry in motion.

First time Dynasty player. Could you please discuss who you think will go in the first round of 2012 rookie drafts and how they project to the NFL. How many of these players will have elite potential. Like many dynasty owners the next few weeks will determine if I will be gearing up for a playoff run or building for the future. If I fall in to the latter category I would like to have this information to make the best trade possible. thanks

Guess what song is stuck in my head these days! (Its the diggy...)

How do you guys feel about 'tone time after the slow start. Is this gonna be one of those seasons where we find out at the end of the year he was playing hurt all the time? Bloom I know was high on him like me - are we hopeful for the remaining 3/4 of 2011?

On a related note is he a dynasty buy low, who else are good dynasty buy lows right now (other than Tebow & young colts  )

great job fellas....Fantasy SOS here.

Please help me sort out what to do about the St. Louis receivers. I have MSW in a PPR league but am getting ready to dump him to the wire. With amendola down and Gibson and Clayton on the wire is one of the three going to elevate to fantasy starter status?

Hey Players. It might be too early but- How do you guys see Justin Blackmon and Alshon Jeffery compared to AJ Green and Julio Jones. And also Trent Richardson and Lattimore compared to Ingram , Ryan Wlliams , and Leshoure.

Just wondering how they would compare if they were part of the same draft in your opinion to try and gauge next years rookie draft pick value.

Hey guys, thanks once again for your time. What do you guys do when a long standing league has gone to a point to where every trade that is made gets instantly veto'd. All trades seem fair enough and benefit all parties. They have for years. But unfortunately I'm afraid this particular league veto's simply out of fear and because they lack the balls to be aggressive in the trade market. Very few trades take place.

I am friends with all of these guys, we are all very competative and there is no money involve. I like the companionship but it's stifling my experience. Should I address them at risk of stirring the pot?

Thanks guys.

Greetings and salutations!

Denarius Moore salvaged a poor effort last week with a late TD. What was up with his lack of targets? I don't buy the Pats scheming to shut him down argument. Every #1 WR that faced them has torn them up. I was shocked to see him do so little against a weak secondary.

Guys,

Something our subscribers/listeners might want to hear about as the season is beginning to progress is the juicy matchups. Last year, the Texans pass defense made EVERYONE involved in any team's passing game look like an All-Pro. Matt Cassel was a fantasy asset due to a middle of the season that included Houston, Jacksonville, and a few other bottom-ten pass D's.

This year, we know about one of Bloom's favorite sayings -- the "soft underbelly" of the Eagles run D. And we have seen Arizona's pass D get torched repeatedly. Now that the Rams just lost yet another cornerback, perhaps they're one of these "green light" matchups as well. Atlanta made Tarvaris Jackson look viable. Etc, etc...

So which of these should we point our subscribers toward so they can better choose their "what the heck flex's" as the every-week starters have bye weeks, and which that have been exploited so far will right the ship?

P.S. - what's the bet between the two Steeler fans and Wildman the Titan fan this week??

What's going on with Hillis? Is he going to be the #1 guy there, or are contract issues reducing his effectiveness? Someone to buy, or to sell?

Can you talk about the Colts (alleged) passing game, specifically Pierre Garcon? His overall numbers were great last week, but only 2 receptions isn't likely to yield much most weeks. What do you see going forward, assuming he's working with Painter? Thanks!

Love the shows guys!

Dynasty question for you here. Who are some of the deep QBs who may be off the current radar but could emerge from backup to fantasy relevance at some point? I am looking at guys like Make Kafka, John Skelton, Hoyer/Mallett, Josh Johnson, Stephen McGee . . . are there any gems to uncover who might eventually emerge?

Hi guys... Great show..

Question about backup QB, for Stafford owners. My league starts only 1 QB, without QB flex.

What do you think about relying on Shawn Hill as your primary backup tp Stafford. I also have Kolb, McNabb, Tavaris on WW.

Hill had low end QB1 performance last year with Stafford out.. Can we expect the same this year?

MY thinking os that I will drop Hill during the Bye and grab Cassel or maybe Painter, Moore for week 9 bye, then afterwards pick Hill back up.

Thoughts on jis approach vs a conventional backup such as Kolb, Jackson, or other?

thanks!

hi, my league's weird, no TE, TE's are lumped in with WR... Really need to know: WHo's better, Jimmy Graham or Jordy N, or Percy H?
