The Belichick Saga (1 Viewer)

Belichick stories have been getting extra attention lately mainly due to his 24-year-old girlfriend interrupting and shutting down lines of questionings (related to their relationship) during Bill's CBS interview. CBS has commented that she was a major problem during that interview, and they are airing the interview with her interrupting because it represents how the whole interview went.

There are stories about his GF purchasing 8 million dollars of real estate through an LLC and speculations it's funded by Bill.

Officials at the University of North Carolina are concerned about Hudson's influence on Bill.

Now we have sports talking heads bringing it up on their show and some expressing concerns about the direction this relationship is going and speculation on the nature of their relation is increasing.

Thoughts on what is going on... More to the story or overreactions?

73 year old man, 24 year old woman. I think there's a trade off and they both obviously want something from each other. Young ambitious women and old rich men have a long history. I imagine he gets what he wants and she gets to try and build her Influencer brand. I don't think there's much more to it than that. She'll likely get put into her lane by UNC if she starts to affect the program, but otherwise i think it is what it is.

Viagra is a helluva of a drug
Media is absolutely toxic….while it’s gross she is with a grandpa….Bill is hitting that hard and who gives a ****.

Again the Media is a dumpster fire in this day and age.

If I were Bill and her…..I would say **** off.
Pretty much this. I haven't paid any attention to it so thanks for starting this thread. Bill living his best life but his best bet now is to go classic Bill and shut down. Then tell his cheerleader squeeze to STFU and stay out of the limelight.

She sounds like a handful but meh. If BB publicly criticized the media outlet and the outlet responded with the entire interview than I see no problem. But, still not all that interesting.

I opened the article but immediately closed it when I saw Ingraham. She's more annoying that BB's girlfriend and, if she's involved, I can only assume she's twisted the situation to turn it political or attack the "liberal media" or something stupid like that which is far more annoying to me than anything else involved here.

If BB's girlfriend is around and a problem when BB is "at work" and his employer wants to terminate him because she isn't worth the hassle, I have no problem with that either. Market at work and not really otherwise that notable.

In sum: meh and Ingraham sucks or, to borrow @SWC 's term, she is a laroosh.

A better article on it.

Count Charles Barkley among those worried about Bill Belichick, so much so that the North Carolina football coach could soon be hearing from him.

During an appearance on "The Dan Patrick Show" Wednesday, Barkley said he has been friends with Belichick since Belichick coached with the Cleveland Browns more than 30 years ago. But the TNT NBA analyst expressed "concern" for the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach in the aftermath of a "CBS Sunday Morning" interview with Belichick that went awry due to an incident involving his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.

"From what I'm hearing, it's starting to be a very slippery slope," Barkley said. "And I never talk about people's personal relationships. That's another rule I got. But I will admit I'm a little concerned with some of the stuff that's going on, and I might actually reach out to him and make sure everything is good. But I am concerned from what I'm hearing because, yeah, it's not a good look right now. I'll admit that."

Belichick's relationship with Hudson has come under national scrutiny again in recent days after what happened during the CBS interview went viral and The Athletic reported she was "instrumental" in HBO's 'Hard Knocks' backing out of its planned involvement with North Carolina in March.

The eight-minute CBS segment that originally aired on April 27, included a tense moment in which Hudson shut down a question asked to Belichick by reporter Tony Dokoupil about how he and Hudson had met. Hudson also stopped Dokoupil's line of questioning several other times, according to CBS. She later posted a screenshot of emails sent by Belichick following the interview (accompanied by Taylor Swift's "Look what you made me do") in which he criticized how CBS edited the segment and the direction being taken in the promotion of his new book.

Belichick subsequently issued a statement through the University of North Carolina on Wednesday afternoon in the wake of the reaction to his "CBS Sunday Morning" appearance and emphasized Hudson only became involved once Dokoupil ignored Belichick's repeated requests to keep the conversation centered on the new book

"After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion," Belichick said in his statement. "She was not deflecting any specific question or topic but simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track. Some of the clips make it appear as though we were avoiding the question of how we met ...

"The final eight-minute segment does not reflect the productive 35-minute conversation we had, which covered a wide range of topics related to my career," Belichick continued. "Instead, it presents selectively edited clips and stills from just a few minutes of his interview to suggest a false narrative – that Jordon was attempting to control the conversation – which is simply not true."

CBS pushed back in its own statement on Belichick's claim that he agreed to the interview under the auspices that questions would be focused only on his book. "When we agreed to speak with Mr. Belichick, it was for a wide-ranging interview," a CBS News spokesperson said. "There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation."

ummm....politics aren't allowed in here.

Wasn’t trying to be political. I was commenting on the article he posted and how that speaker makes things political.

$8M in real estate is pretty serious and pretty sad. I know it’s his business but you’d hope a friend would bite the bullet. I doubt CBS leaks that unless those interviewers were worried AF. That wasn’t gratuitous. That was ugly and domineering.

Bill is a miserable guy. Nothing is gonna change that, including a "normal" relationship with a woman somewhere near his age.

Deep down he knows this, so he decided that this sugar daddy arrangement was the closest he was gonna get.

They're both getting what they want out of it. It seems pretty clear that she has the power in the relationship (which is surprising) but unless he's suffering some sort of cognitive decline that she's taking advantage of (which doesn't seem to be the case) there's really nothing wrong going on here.

Not sure I buy the story about them meeting on an airplane...but whatever.

It’s prima facie that there’s something really wrong IMO

I for one think the world world be a whole lot better off if everyone* would mind their own ****ing business.

*"Everyone" meaning those to who will never know the participants involved. If friends think something needs to be done they should do it. In the words of Herb Brooks, "You worry about your own game. There's plenty there to keep you busy."

I don’t get why anybody cares. She’s a consenting adult. He’s the same age as like 4 consenting adults put together. He’s getting what he wants she’s getting what she wants I just do not see why people care.

If there is concern about cognitive decline we’ll find out real soon. He’s coaching a pretty major college football program! You can’t really hide that sort of thing in front of that many people.

This.

This would be my concern. But unless it's elder abuse, it's just creepy. Avoid.

I think its kinda funny, being BB has been one of the biggest media douches through his NFL coaching career. And now he's somehow found a hot 24 year old GF but also someone who is out-douching the king of douches.

One could make an argument that cognitive decline might have already started given that a guy that has won almost 15% of the Super Bowls ever played taking a job at UNC to coach at best, a mediocre D1 college team. Save the "he has a burning desire to keep coaching", he's 74 and schtuping a 24 year old, has more money than what he knows to do with and can pretty much do anything he wants at this point but he choses UNC?

That said, live your life Bill

And really, he can't be any worse than the last septuagenarian they chased off.....

Haven't read all the articles yet but I imagine

this will be how most people feel about it though there's a concern that she's taking advantage of someone and that's a little sad. As to why she specifically nixed the question of "How did you meet?" I wondered if this more more of a contractual relationship rather than an organic one.

Gold diggers have been around forever, right? The age gap is disgusting, but hey, if he truly DGAF, good for him, I guess? For her? Wow. Prostitution comes in many forms.

Seems to be a couple separate discussions going on here.

I don't think anybody really cares that much about an old dude with a young chick. At least most people don't.

The current "issue" is the recent interview stuff where she comes off as a controlling train wreck. And more importantly, that the greatest football coach of all time and a man always in control seems to allow this. And some reports of close friends worried about it.

We all know you know what is undefeated, but still a little jarring to see if true.

And I don't appreciate UNC taking strays in here. We gave you Lawrence Taylor, Michael Jordan, and Mia Hamm.

Genius move by Belichick. Let her be a jerk to the media so he doesn’t have to be for once. Same net outcome that he can steer the narrative without having to be the same old bad guy.

Cognitive decline? Cognitive decline???

I Pray my Cognitive declines as fast as Belichick's does, if that's what it looks like.

CBS feels empowered to do this because she's young, and an easy target. Ohh, look at this young gold digger taking advantage!!

Whole thing IS gross. But not for the reasons people are saying

You have to respect her business acumen. Before meeting Bill, she was dating a 65 y/o. Given her reported 8 million dollar real estate portfolio, we can assume she has acquired at least a couple million. I doubt these seniors have worked her more than a few hundred times in that span. She's likely earning $10,000+ per. Those are top of the line numbers. For a bland, dour woman who relies heavily on make-up? Get that bag, girl. I think Bill and his money could do better but it's his life and his choice. C'est la vie.
