Hard to beleive that Jeters skills have eroded so fast...The Yankees knew it too. Nostalgia is not good for sports teams. The Niners knew when Montana was done and got roasted for letting him go. The Yanks are now stuck with Jeter for three years.

Jeter would not have commanded anything more than a one year deal on the open market. No range, no power, Jeter is a shell of his former self. Too much NY night life.

Are they going to go out of their way to let him get this at Yankee stadium? I have tickets to the games in Cincy (June 20-22) and I would love to see some baseball history. His pace would say thats right around the time to expect it.
