THE FBG Fashion Thread :style: (3 Viewers)

I think we're just miscommunicating here. Say I'm having folks over to my non-air-conditioned third floor apartment that gets to like 100 degrees during the summer. Should I not be wearing shorts in this instance? I'm not talking going out to the bars or something...

It's dark out right now, sun set about 30 min ago, do I need to change out of my shorts?

I'm watching the Sox game in my living room.

TIA

Steve, that sounds like the exception that makes the rule. Although I would then ask, which friends are lining up to come over your 100 degree apartment party? ;)

You make a good point.

What about girls? Can they wear shorts at night? Or has this fashion thread completely turned you all homosexual?
She can wear these whenever and wherever she wants...http://bigf00te.files.wordpress.com/2010/09/jessica-in-her-daisy-dukes-before-the-weight-gain1.jpg

Actually, I am on the couch as well, watching the Sox, in my shorts. But if I were going out I would change...
Hmm, see here's where you lost me. Maybe.I dunno. But if I change into jeans, what will I wear on my feet? My dress shoes? Timbs? Sandals? Crocs? J/k crocs suck.

Well, it looks like I hate every pair of shorts that is currently considered "fashionable".

Lame.

Seriously though, I just did a quick google search, nothing on shorts at night being bad. In fact, most of the fashion tips about shorts at night references women.

What gives? Is this a big joke you're pulling on me?

why don't you post examples of the ones you like
To be perfectly honest, I really don't "like" any kinds of shorts that you could go out in. I tolerated baggier cargo shorts back when they were "in", but i always preferred jeans. I own WAY more pairs of basketball shorts than a 27 year old man should own. (although I would obviously not wear them "out" anywhere if i was trying to meet women) I find plaid to be absolutely brutal and i find the super-clean, above the knee khaki shorts (like you linked a few posts up) just look WAY too preppy for me. If I find myself in a situation where shorts are an absolute necessity, (outdoor social event during the day where eligible women are present) I generally just go with the most normal looking pair of cargo shorts i can find. Unfortunately, even most pairs of those have some little feature that I just can't stand. (like a weird pocket or a line stitched across the leg or something else) Gonna be at my 5 year college reunion in a few weeks, and many of the festivities will obviously be going on during the day. (goes friday night through sunday afternoon) Gonna have to hit the mall this week to try and find something passable. Considering how much i already hate clothes shopping, i just know its going to be brutal.

Anything on shorts at night being good? You might only be seeing tips for women, because there really are none for men. Other than "Don't." :2cents:

LOL....love this shtick.
:goodposting: :lmao:btw- been seeing a lot of cut-off denim in the EVil. (I still think of these as different than Jorts- Jorts, IMO, are denim made to be shorts with seams and whatnot at the bottom of the leg... cut-offs are just old jeans that have been cut off).
