There's 18, not sure if I owe another.  Will try a brief write up for each one and if any are already taken ( I checked but could have missed) I will re-pick.

Thanks

Thanks. Was frankly the only special I’ve seen that was left that I could find.
I missed this by 30 seconds and I an upset.  Such an amazing special.  This still brings a tear to my eye at parts.  The music is top notch.  It's on Amazon Prime right now (I own the DVD though) for those who haven't seen it.  I watched it last week.

1950-1970 comedy  - Leave it to Beaver

I'm picking favorites here and this is one of them.  I'm still recording episodes of this today on my DVR from METV as this is still on today.  One of the first primetime sitcom series written from a child's point of view.  It placed on Time magazine's 2007 list of "All-TIME 100 TV Shows.  The show received two Emmy nominations in 1958

1950-1970 drama - Father Knows Best

The series finished in the Nielsen ratings at #25 for the 1957–1958 season, #14 for 1958–1959 and #6 for 1959–1960.

Father Knows Best had become so ingrained in American pop culture as its idyllic presentation of family life that in 1959, the U.S. Treasury Department commissioned a special 30-minute episode of the show called "24 Hours in Tyrant Land."  Never aired on television, the episode—distributed to schools, churches and civic groups—promoted the buying of savings bonds. The episode was later included in the Season One DVD.

1950-1970 leading man comedy - Danny Williams

Danny Thomas for Make Room for Daddy and The Danny Thomas Show. (Same character)  4 Emmy nominations

1950-1970 leading man comedy- Jim Anderson

Robert Young for Father Knows Best.  Nominated for 4 Emmy's, won 2

1950-1970 leading woman comedy - Hazel Burke

Shirley Booth for Hazel.  Shirley Booth received two Emmy Awards (1962 and 1963) for Hazel, and garnered a nomination for her third season (1964). Booth also received a Golden Globe nomination for Best TV Star (1964) and two posthumous nominations for the TV Land Award, Favorite Made-for-TV Maid (2004 and 2006).

1950-1970 leading woman drama - Donna Stone

Donna Reed - The Donna Reed Show.  Reed won a Golden Globe Award and earned four Emmy Award nominations for her work on the series.  She is gorgeous.

Already picked

Parks & Rec is good — that was my mistake.

I might have typed “Donna Reed” into the spreadsheet instead of “Donna Stone”. I’ll fix that.
That must have been it.  So technically  you never picked Donna Stone... Just kidding nice pick.

1950-1970 leading woman drama - Ellen Miller

Jan Clayton - Lassie.  Clayton brought her extensive acting experience on Broadway to the Lassie series, portraying in her character Ellen the traits of a loving mother with a wide range of heartfelt emotions ranging from sorrow and tragedy to great comedic relief. There were only a few times in Lassie when Clayton exhibited her impressive singing talents, most notably in the episode "The Gypsys" (Season 2, Ep. 15) in which she sang the song "Marushka".  She was nominated for 2 Emmy's for her role.

1950-1970 supporting man - Frank Smith

Ben Alexander in Dragnet.  He was nominated for 2 Emmy's for his role.

1950-1970 supporting woman - Sally Rogers

Rose Marie in the #### Van Dyke Show.   She was nominated for 2 Emmy's for her role.

1971- 1990 comedy - Three's Company

Absolutely love this show.  Spawned 2 spin offs.  Even with losing some of the cast, it did great replacing Chrissy with Terry and the Ropers with Furley.

Network observers did not believe that Three's Company would go anywhere after its first six episodes. They were proven wrong when it raked in record ratings, breaking barriers at the time as the highest-rated midseason show ever broadcast on network television.  4 seasons in the top 5, 6 in the top 8.  Very happy to get this so late.

1971-1990 leading man drama - Robert McCall

Edward Woodward in The Equalizer.  He was nominated for 4 Emmy's for his role.  After filming a few episodes of the third season, Woodward suffered a massive coronary. For several episodes, additional actors were brought in to reduce the workload on Woodward as he recovered from the condition. The first episode filmed following Woodward's heart attack involved his character being severely injured by a KGB bullet, providing Woodward with a chance to rest over several episodes. Later in the season, Woodward resumed his full duties and carried the show through an additional, fourth season during the 1988-1989 season.

1971-1990 leading woman comedy - Blanche Devereaux

Rue McClanahan in The Golden Girls.  Rue McClanahan said playing the role of Blanche made her "one of the most recognizable women in the world," and resulted in her being named the "Fifth most beloved celebrity over 55" in the world. She said the fame of Blanche Devereaux, on television "week after week for decades", made McClanahan inseparable from Blanche in the public eye.  She won an Emmy for this role and was nominated 4 times.  Also 3 Golden Globe nominations.

1991-2020 comedy - Parks and Recreation

Can't believe this was still here.  The show was nominated for a variety of different awards throughout its run, including sixteen Primetime Emmy Award nominations, twice as a comedy series and twice for writing. Parks and Recreation was also nominated for fifteen Critics' Choice Television Awards (three wins), two Art Directors Guild Awards, four Golden Globe Awards (one win), a Peabody Award (one win), a Producers Guild of America Award, five Satellite Awards, and five Writers Guild of America Awards, among other awards.

1991-2020 drama - Better Call Saul

I just binged this in the last 6 months and was amazed how excellent it is.  Hope it scores well even though it is still running.

Better Call Saul has received critical acclaim, with particular praise for its acting, characters, writing, direction, and cinematography; many critics have called it a worthy successor to Breaking Bad and one of the best prequels ever made, with some deeming it superior to its predecessor. It has garnered many nominations, including a Peabody Award, 23 Primetime Emmy Awards, eleven Writers Guild of America Awards, five Critics' Choice Television Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards. The series premiere held the record for the highest-rated scripted series premiere in basic cable history at the time of its airing.

1991-2020 leading man drama - Nucky Thompson

Steve Buscemi in Boardwalk Empire.   This role earned him him two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Golden Globe and two nominations for an Emmy Award.

1991-2020 supporting woman Samantha Jones
Kim Cattrall in Sex and the City.  Cattrall received a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe Award for her portrayal.  5 Emmy nominations,  4 Golden Globe Nominations.

My mistake then, am I stuck or do I re-pick?
It’s up to you. You could see if anyone else has thoughts. In these drafts it really just comes down to how the judge sees it. Slumdog Millionaire scored highly in the Teen Movie in the other draft for some reason.

I don't mind re-picking.  I was following this thread periodically before I joined, so I missed some of these discussions earlier.

I'll re-pick both of these briefly, feel bad about spotlighting them though.

It’s just my opinion, so it’s up to you if you want to wait until others chime in.

Great job picking by the way.

OK, Unpicking Danny Williams, Moving Jim Anderson to Comedy.  Repicking

1950-1970 drama - I Spy

I Spy broke ground in that it was the first American television drama to feature a black actor (Cosby) in a lead role.  I Spy was a trailblazer in its use of exotic international locations in an attempt to emulate the James Bond film series. This was unique for a television show, especially since the series actually filmed its lead actors at locations ranging from Spain to Japan, rather than relying on stock footage. I Spy won as "Best Dramatic Series" at the 1967 Golden Globe Awards for its 1966-1967 season.

1950-1970 leading man drama - Kelly Robinson

Robert Culp in I Spy.  Nominated 3 times for an Emmy for all 3 seasons.

Argh, I shouldn’t have bugged you about Father Knows Best. I was hoping to take I Spy.

Commercial  - Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop

Debuting in 1970 in a one minute version, it has been shown in shortened versions over the year and even still airs today and is listed as the longest running commercial of all time.

A student study by Purdue University concluded that it took an average of 364 licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop using a "licking machine", while it took an average of 252 licks when tried by 20 students.Yet ano ther study by the University of Michigan concluded that it takes 411 licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. A 1996 study by undergraduate students at Swarthmore College concluded that it takes a median of 144 licks (range 70–222) to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

In 2014, the Tribology Laboratory at the University of Florida published a study examining the coupled effects of biology, corrosion, and mechanical agitation on the wear of Tootsie Roll Pops. Self-reported wear data from 58 participants was used in conjunction with statistical analysis of actual lollipop cross-sectional information in a numerical simulation to compute the average number of licks required to reach the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Roll Pop. The number of licks required to reach the center, based on equatorial cross-section data, was found to be nearly independent of the licking style with the one-sided approach requiring 195±18 licks and the full-surface approach requiring 184±33. Detailed examination of the lollipops indicates that the minimum candy shell thickness is rarely (if ever) located along the equator. Using the global minimum distance resulted in a calculated 130±29 licks to reach the center, independent of licking style.

So happy to get this.

I agree. I say we start tomorrow. One pick a day.
Can we finish off this round first?

Those of us waiting at the bottom of the order (especially the west coasters) get screwed if it becomes a free for all.

Maybe at 3pm eastern (or whatever time makes sense) everyone can start making their remaining 33rd round picks.

I need to start searching the thread and the spreadsheet

Not sure how many of those are gone but just let me know and I'll repick.

Apologies for not being around much - we are going through a re-org at work so kind of busy right now (until they fire me).

@timschochet what do you think about opening up the 33rd round today and starting the free for all tomorrow with the 34th?
