One could predict that a lot of "liberals" fell asleep at the wheel once Obama was elected. And, let's face it; it's hard to get excited about Hillary. 

I have this feeling that a sleeping giant has been woken and that this Trump Train will end at the first station. I predict in 2020, and with a half decent candidate, your opponents will come out in full force.
And just who would that be.  The Democrats have no bench.  Their farm system is empty.

 
That speech was terrifying. The jingoism was off the charts. This idea that we can isolate ourselves from the rest of the world is not going to lead us to prosperity.

He mentioned the children in Detroit and Nebraska look up to the same sky.  Well, the children in Mexico, Syria, Europe and the rest of the world look up to the same sky too. This idea that we are somehow better than those people because we are Americans is a fundamental difference that I have with Trump and those that think like him. Thinking we are better than others will allow us to make horrible decisions against others, and I am pretty frightened by it.

dunno ... saw an awful lot of folks up on here and on the various social medias and out on the street - who were energized by Bernie.  real grass roots #### - and, as much as I disagreed with his agenda, at least he had one (unlike Hilary). 

but that crooked ### DNC was having none of that ... oh hellz no. 

they have themselves to blame - now they need to shut the #### up.

What would you personally like to gain from a Trump presidency? Please refrain from the tag lines, but what are you looking for from him?
I can easily tell you.

Less government, bring back industrial and manufacturing to this country in a big way, cut taxes a little, beef up our national security, rebuild our relationship with Israel and stop ####### apologizing to world about our country.

Pretty simple.

Yup you're right. Trump was absolutely the first person to speak of American exceptionalism.

You fundamentally misunderstand the ideology if this is what you think people on the right think. It's not about thinking we are 'better,' it's about acting in our best interest. We expect our leaders to act on behalf of us and to give our interest priority over other nations... just as we expect the leaders of other nations to look out for the interest of their own citizenry above ours.

 
Saying that your ideas are better than someone is not the same as saying you are better than someone just because you happened to be born in a particular country. And liberals and conservatives both think their ideas are better.
He didn't say we are better, Sweetness, he said he's putting us first, as is his duty.
