Wow, Deion Branch actually looks like a Go-To guy in the Pats offense. I really didn't expect much of a change in their scheme but he's been targeted a lot.
Look at it this way: he's fresher when he's in, doesn't have to waste the energy blocking, and there's less chance of him getting hurt.Still concerned since it's been and every other series thing that Dillon is in there...jeez....remember when this server was an improvement??Doss officially out for the rest of the game with that pulled hammy. And I guess you Dillon owners aren't crying anymore.
Yes, and I have him in the FBG member contest.Branch looks like he could be big this year.
Manning has a tendency to start slow and come on strong. There is a reason he is the consensus #2 behind Pep.I hope not as I am going against him tonight. But, I have Brady at least...Manning you'd better step it up. You're not helping me in 2 leagues!![]()
Take it easy...Edge has 14 touches with 3 minutes to go in the first half. He's getting plenty of work, he's just done too well and got tired from running so long on every play. It's not like that was Rhodes' only carry.9 play drive5 by Edge - 45yds4 by Rhodes - 21 yds
WTF is it with the site being sooooo slow tonight. And the vaunted NE D is looking horrid against the run...makes Rhodes look like he is Holmes!Edge was tired from all those runs, I wouldn't be too worried about Rhodes being a TD vulture if I was an Edge owner. I'd be happy he looks as good as he does against the vaunted New England D
I do to.Yes, and I have him in the FBG member contest.Branch looks like he could be big this year.![]()
I opted for Lloyd, I think he's more of a threat for big number than Branch the way NE spreads the ball.I do to.Yes, and I have him in the FBG member contest.Branch looks like he could be big this year.![]()

With a next to nothing stat line, Washington could have been the MVP in last year's super bowl.Listening to a Salisbury/Clayton arguement yesterdayDip****, aka Salisbury said there was no dif. between Wilfork and Washington, except a little experience.WhoopsTed Washington anyone?New England's run defense is a JOKE so far![]()
You know, it doesn't matter who plays on this first week of the season, you guys will always get pumped up over big performances. I said it last year and will say it again, IT IS THE FIRSTGAME OF THE ENTIRE SEASON!!!You all need to calm down and realize that in every game in every season, some players stand out more than others. Come talk to me about Branch after week 4. If he is still keeping it up then, I will drink the Kool Aid, but until then, put a lid on it.i recall Branch starting like this his rookie year too. He faded after a couple of games. Sounds like he's doing well though. Nice to see.
Buy low. :rotflmao:M. Harrison 2 for 10![]()
Shall we call 9-1-1?James doesnt score here and I'm going to kill someone.
Too lateBuy low. :rotflmao:M. Harrison 2 for 10![]()
Fitz myself, but I have been a Branch fan for a while now. He has talent, but he is just on a team that spreads it around too much to allow him to hit top 10 status.I opted for Lloyd, I think he's more of a threat for big number than Branch the way NE spreads the ball.I do to.Yes, and I have him in the FBG member contest.Branch looks like he could be big this year.![]()

So who's it gonna be???James doesnt score here and I'm going to kill someone.
I see your point; I mean, Laveranues Coles was the leading receiver in the opening game last year, and look how his season turned out.Oh....wait.You know, it doesn't matter who plays on this first week of the season, you guys will always get pumped up over big performances. Nah, you're right about the juke. I thought it was pretty nice to keep Manning from getting hammered, the feet looked slow though. You think? I actually think he made a surprisingly good juke before he got crushed.

pigskinliquors=GREEDY !!BooooYeah!!!!!!!!!!!Manning to the rescue! Playing against Edge in one league; and starting Manning in another. Karma is good right now! Now I need Vinatieri to kick a 50+.
I'll take a 40+'er!!pigskinliquors=GREEDY !!BooooYeah!!!!!!!!!!!Manning to the rescue! Playing against Edge in one league; and starting Manning in another. Karma is good right now! Now I need Vinatieri to kick a 50+.:horns:
Well people were #####ing about Graham after a few plays and now he has 5 for 40 in a half...I see your point; I mean, Laveranues Coles was the leading receiver in the opening game last year, and look how his season turned out.Oh....wait.You know, it doesn't matter who plays on this first week of the season, you guys will always get pumped up over big performances. Spreading it around = number of receivers catchying passes, not necessarily that he favors one over the other.Graham and Branch SHOULD be his leading receivers each game, but Watson, Patten, Graham, and Branch all catching passes IS spreading the ball around.Manning can focus on Harrison, yet still spread the ball around to Edge, Rhodes, Clar5k, Pollard, Stokely, and Wayne.C-Pepp, OTOH, tends not to spread the ball around, but looks primarily for Moss.not much much of Brady spreading it around:Graham - 5 receptionsBranch - 5 receptionsAll others - 5 receptions
Or in a survivor/no-starter league.Anybody who drafted Daniel Graham fairly late in a TE-required league has to be happy with these first half stats.Daniel Graham: 5 receptions, 40 yards receiving.
It's halftime - in ten minutes, I know that number will drop by at least "me."200 User(s) are reading this topic (63 Guests and 2 Anonymous Users)![]()
