Not much. Aaron Rodgers did the same thing a few seasons ago when he broke his collar bone during a nationally televised game against the Bears when Shea McClellin slammed him to the turf.Jason Wilde @jasonjwilde 5m5 minutes ago
Randall Cobb is on the sideline, standing next to Aaron Rodgers wearing a green #Packers hoodie. Hands in front pouch of sweatshirt.
Not sure what this means in terms of his injury
Exactly. It means absolutely nothing either way. Hope he is okNot much. Aaron Rodgers did the same thing a few seasons ago when he broke his collar bone during a nationally televised game against the Bears when Shea McClellin slammed him to the turf.Jason Wilde @jasonjwilde 5m5 minutes ago

Cobb's my 11th round keeper I have to have in by 8AM tomorrow. I could switch to Delanie Walker with a 10th round, but was hoping for Cobb.

The sideline posture didn't give details, that won't be known for awhile, but (like you said) time to take a breath.Ok deep breaths.

Speculating on a messageboard like everyone else. Letting the arm hang down with a fracture of the clavicle would be a lot more painful than your average ACL tear, though. A clavicle fracture rarely seems minor.Your point??ACL injuries completely different
Either an ACL tear or clavicle break can appear minor and not be all that painful.
Not a minor fracture, no. It wouldnt.Speculating on a messageboard like everyone else. Letting the arm hang down with a fracture of the clavicle would be a lot more painful than your average ACL tear, though.Your point??ACL injuries completely different

Speculating is fine as long as you at least have SOME knowledge about human anatomy
That really hurts my feelings broWell sure, that is obvious![]()
I look for factual stuff to make my own assessments. It generally works, especially with injuries. Not really sure why it would matter how much knowledge I have, though. It's the Internet. People talk #### about stuff they don't know anything about all the time. No one really cares what random messageboard dude says he knows.

Not according to these docs:A grade 1 AC sprain would have him back in 2-4 weeks.Either of these are 8-12 week timelines to heal full. Put him on IR/return, get to the playoffs, and the Packers are in business.Mechanism of injury is one of the key pieces of an evaluation. How dare this expert speculate based on replays!I'm surprised by people who offer medical opinions based only on short clip of a guy going to the ground.I get what it looks like... Its just funny to me.Typical mechanism of injury. Fall onto shoulder with the force of another player on top. I'm surprised at people who dismiss expert opinion with absolutely no background in medicine.sho nuff said:Often make diagnosis by a bad angled replay (if you even saw it) and not examining someone at all?ROYALWITCHEESE said:Speaking as a sports PT, it's one of two things. .@packers WR Randall Cobb taken to locker room with injury. Best Case: mild A/C sprain. Worst Case: Shoulder dislocation/clavicle fracture.

RANDALL COBB @packers return depends on grade of AC injury. 1: good to go Week 1 2: possible Week 1 3: unlikely Week 1, but still not IR/dfr
players are at low risk of missing snaps the following week
As I said a few times, I'm just speculating on the few seconds I observed. No facts. Only the people who have looked him over have facts. Sounds like they have done an x-ray to rule out a fracture but not confirmed I don't think. Doctors won't even know for sure until they do an MRI. High degree of separation in the shoulder would usually hurt like hell if you let it hang down or swing it like he was, same for a dislocation or fracture. The comparison to the knee is just a little different. An ACL tear with the other knee ligaments intact would be possible to walk on. Kind of like when they say a guy sprained his knee only to find out the next day that he tore his ACL. Now when you completely trash your knee like Navarro Bowman did, there's no walking on it. I'm going by typical injuries. There are always atypical injuries that could present differently. That's why I said I was speculating like a lot of people are. Even Dr Jene is speculating, like he stated. The difference is I'm random dude on Internet while he's a guy a lot of people follow. Even when you are pretty sure you know what it is, you can't really say what it is until a test confirms it. I think he's an MD. Wouldn't be very professional to make a statement on what it us until you know for suresure. Like you said, most people don't care what I have to say anyway so I'll speculate away.So what factual stuff are you basing your assessment on? Agreed low grade sprain pretty easy to come back quickly from, especially if you have the best care in the world to come back. No doubt.I would never play Thread Police, but if the mods wanted to come in here, and remove the ridiculous nickname from the title, I would not be unhappy,
Seriously, reading this thread title makes me a little angry.

Sure, it could be absolutely anything until you have tests to confirm it. Until then, it's all speculation.
This is the Brigham and Women's Hospital and states 1-3 weeks recovery time. Given that Cobb is an elite athlete at peak physical condition and not an old lady, he would be at the low end of this scale or better. Every sports injury expert I've read including Dr Jene and Stephonia Bell say he wouldn't miss any time at Grade 1.http://www.brighamandwomens.org/patients_visitors/pcs/rehabilitationservices/physical%20therapy%20standards%20of%20care%20and%20protocols/shoulder-acromioclavicular%20separation.pdf
Typical timeframes and rehab of AC separation. Obviously each case is different.

Week 1 is 2 weeks away. That was the quickest one I could find. Healing is healing. Just because you can run fast doesn't mean you heal like Wolverine. Obviously age factors in, but other than that it's outlined nicely here. Some people just know everything, no matter what you present to them.
