Yes, I am not a mcgahee fan but I like the trade. Here is why:HOU passing offense is just not that impressive, leading to more 8 man fronts.
I feel davis and mcgahee will put up similar numbers this season but next season as losman makes progress, mcgahee will have an easier time getting yards. BUF also has a GREAT Def and will put the offense on the field more and help them hold onto leads. That give mcgahee alot of yds late in the game when BUF has the lead.
Davis will miss a game or 2 each season, dont know if mcgahee is durable yet but lets hope for the best.

I'm contemplating dealing Griese and Steve Smith for Culpepper and a throw in WR (Randle El, G.Lewis). Other QB currently is McNair. WRs are CJohnson, TTaylor, Ferguson, Meshawn. Yeah the hit losing Smith is tough, but the chance to get Culpepper at his low point is very enticing and I think 2 of the other WRs I have or get off waivers will be serviceable.

Just heard from an owner that a trade involving:T.O.ForBellRoethlisbergerBaltimore Dis in the works. That should have some people pretty damned crabby.

Don't do it... Griese and McNair are very, very servicable and if you play matchups right should equal or outperform Culpepper... Steve Smith is way too big of a loss!

Not me, but another team in my dynasty league made this trade. It's a 2/2/3/1/1 league with IDP players.Team A sends QB Brian Griese and WR Michael Clayton (He had Kyle Orton, Kyle Boller, and Griese at QB and Horn, Coles, Burleson, Caldwell, and Clayton at WR)Team B sends QB Ben Roethlisberger and WR Muhsin Muhammad (He had Jake Plummer, Joey Harrington, and Roeth as QB and D-Jax, Muhammed, Antonio Bryant, Ferguson, and Toomer at WR)

Busy day for me yesterday. I'm in two money leagues (one redraft and one dynasty) and made trades in both yesterday.Smaller deal first, in the dynasty I sent Charles Rogers, Josh Brown, and $6 (of our yearly $25) allotment for Deshaun Foster to cuff Stephen Davis since I'm stuck relying on the Carolina RB until Benson takes over.In the redraft I have good RB depth and sent Stephen Davis and Derrick Mason away for Chad Johnson and Kevan Barlow. I can now pair up CJ with TO at WR

I made my first trade of the year this morning. I gave up: Bettis, Griese, T. Taylor for K. Orton, C. Chambers.While on the surface it might look like I got ripped, I like Chambers and his value is LOW. I still have Portis, SJax, and S. Davis (my mid round steal), as well as picking up Dayne off waivers last night. Chambers, even in a poor offense has still been somewhat productive and I think Miami's O is better this year than in the past 2. Taylor OTOH could have a big week this week, which I used as a ploy, but, there are quite a few cooks in the kitchen in MInny and I think Williamson will be used once the playoffs are out of reach...which might be sooner rather than later. Bettis I liked because I also drafted him late...but it's obvious that FWP is the man now and Duce is still in the picture. Orton is a gamble, but they play some REAL soft defenses and he's my backup to Plummer. Griese will have some good games, but I don't see him having A LOT of them.Overall, I think it's about an even trade. Chambers was my target...as WR was my weak spot. Wayne and Rod Smith are my 1 & 2...Glenn & Battle are my others. Chambers should be more consistant as I just think he's more talented and on a better team.

Dynasty league where I am just finalizing a deal where I would send Stephen Davis and Drew Bledsoe for Trent Green and Eddie Kennison. My QB are Bledsoe, Lefty & Eli so I could use an upgrade. My WR are weak too but Davis is my RB #4 or 5. Allplayers are older so I don't see any long term ramifications but it improves both our lineups.

Im sorry, but trading Harrison for Anderson is ridiculously dumb.Yes, he is starting off slow, but guess what? So is Mike Anderson. You should be able to do much better that MA for MH. I would think...

It would be great if this topic was regenerated every week. i.e. Trades occurring in your league - Week 4.....Everyone could then post all of the trades that go down in their leagues givingn the rest of us a good idea as to what value we could expect to get from our players.Starting the topic new every week would help to keep the topic fresh and current.

What if I just bumped this and changed the title? (note: I haven't bumped it all year).The reason I like it all in one thread is because you can look back not just on this week, but on how values have changed in the average player's mind across the season, all in one thread.
But it's something I'll do (or a mod can do) if you guys would like.

I don't want to step on any toes Keys. It was just getting to be too much to scroll through all of the pages looking for current information. The deeper we get into the season, the more it's going to be, and this thread was starting to fill up with a lot of 'fluff'.If you want me to delete the other thread, or if you would like to handle a weekly thread, please let me know and I'll gladly do so.

I don't think there should be a weekly thread...I do think this should be bumped every week, and you have a good point there, to change the title for every week.
My problem is, your thread is no different than this one. With the date above each post, you can tell what week the trade took place.
It keeps the records of every trade that someone's posted, and if you skip to the end, you can find the most recent trades.
There's no need for a new thread...and the mods will smote us if we have two of them. That's all.
If you want me to put your name at the beginning of this thread instead of mine, I'd be happy to.
Besides, my real name is Matt, not Keys. Obviously, being called Keys gives me no credit at all.

Yesterday before MNF I traded away Brandon Jacobs, Ciatrick Fason, and Courtney Anderson for Mike Anderson, Tatum Bell, and Ron Dayne.Last week I traded away Willie Parker and Matt Hasselbeck for Todd Heap and Donovan McNabb.Am currently trying to ship out the Denver RBs and Heap for Gonzo, Fitzgerald, and a couple scrubs to make it even number of players.

I just proposed Fast Willie Parker (me giving up FWP) for Jamal Lewis. What's nuts is, I'm a Ravens homer, and I'm still not convinced that this would be a good deal this season.

Meh, it's okay.People were giving me crap before the season when I traded Barlow/Wayne for C. Johnson...then again after I traded W. Parker for Bulger after week 2.
Now they're afraid to trade with me.
3rd year dynasty. Traded Vick, J. Jones, M. Barber, '06 #1 for C. Palmer, R. Moss, S. McDonald, and his '06 #2.I have some RB depth (Caddy, L. Jordan, TJ Duck, C. Perry) but my only real QB was Vick. I love Palmer's short and long term potential, and Vick's inconsistency and injury potential could take out my team at any time. I felt the Jones for Moss was basically a wash. I still need a reliable backup for Palmer.
