These are the greatest pants ever! (1 Viewer)

I don't think this is hipster apparel - I'm wearing a Brooks Brothers button down shirt and loafers with mine today.
It's definitely older hipster apparel.  That not necessarily a bad thing though.  I have a pair of dressy sneakers that I sometimes wear on Fridays.  You can get away with picking and choosing.

There's pretty much no way I could make the Lululemon pants work though.  The eye rolls from visiting execs would sink me.  Given the comfort of my shorts I've entertained the possibility of buying a Friday pair, but I can't bring myself to do it.

So after wearing them all day at work do you have to change when you get home or can you comfortably go to the couch pop on The Notebook and eat ice cream straight from the carton?

I was seriously considering a pair of these until I opened this link. Are these really a close comparison?
No, I think typical loose fitting chinos are more of a comp? The only thing they share in common is both are four way stretch.

Personally I don't like a lot of space in the crotch area (I'm talking several inches below your junk) because it kind of tents when you sit down.

I wear a lot of pants that are basically jeans but they're just not blue jeans. Like they'll be 5 pocket and might have rivets (I wear several brands), but since they're black or olive or whatever they don't look like jeans. Especially if the rest of the ensemble is on the smart casual side.

Has anyone admitted to being a hipster in the last 15 years? That word gets tossed around constantly but I've never met anyone who embraced it. And I've seen guys that are definitely 95% hipster in their fashion choices scoff at being labeled as such.

I don't see how you could admittedly be a hipster.  Seems like the former would exclude the latter.

Picking up some tricks from hipsters isn't a bad thing.  Some of the older hipsters don't go all tight pants, tattoos, and hoodies.  They actually do a pretty good job of blending in professional and comfort.

The Lululemon pants have been around for a while.  They have stores everywhere and if you're a guy taking his daughter/wife into one the pants are hard to miss.  It's not like they have a huge men's section.

no, I think someone already mentioned they don't have them in fat sizes.  Just for us athletic SOBs.

Green tea mochi and a triple IPA straight out of the growler.  It's how I balance the pants and being straight.

I've heard their customer service is great. I might give them a shot.

I wish I had a go-to pair of pants. I think I probably have ten different brands. Ironically, the ones I like best ATM are from H&M (e.g., probably the least expensive pair I own.) I mostly buy from department stores but pick up a random pair from different chains every few months.

Think these are the pair I'm wearing today. Might not work for everyone, I don't think they're a good look if you are pudgy or have a bit of a gut. I've somehow managed to stay skinny (I'm 54) so I can get away with matching these up with dress shirts/sport coat or sweaters. I mostly love them because they're comfortable, but it doesn't hurt they look great.

Prior to starting to wear 4 way stretch (aka skinny jeans) I wore chinos, unpleated, but never really liked the baggy look. Works for my small body frame but I think the average FBG is 6'3" 225 and can't rest their arms on the side of their body because they're packing so much muscle mass. I've been at the same gym for five years and I'm not sure I could help you find the weight room (I just know it's down 3 or 4 flights from the cardio machines.) I was suit guy for 20+ years but haven't worn them for 10+ years.
It is like I was accidently linked to the www.biography.com website.

Probably the thing I am most thankful for about FBG is the number of times it has prevented me from accidentally becoming gay by wearing the wrong thing.

Count your blessings. We aren't all so lucky. I'll never forget the time I bought some offdee jeans and next thing I knew I had a #### in my ###.   :kicksrock:

These would look fabulous on you.

I'll be excited to discuss this "man card" thing on here when I'm sitting comfortably in my ABC pants during a heatwave this summer.
Location: NY, NY

Heatwave

ETA:  They do look like they'll be a bit tight for people with muscular legs.    These models always look like they weigh a buck thirty.

I've traveled the world. There's no more than four places on Earth hotter than an NYC subway platform in the summer.
Subway platform, I agree... particularly some station on the PATH I got stuck in for a while one night in August a few years ago.

But in general? Cmon...

This city is a concrete jungle in the summer and the humidity is a mother####er. I've never in my life heard anyone question NYC summer heat.

Ever since I clicked on the original link to these pants my banner ads have been replaced with super hot yoga women in pants.

That's a nice bonus.

I've been there in the summer plenty of times. It's fairly hot, and fairly humid... for sure. But it's nothing like what much of the southeast endures daily during the summer months. Most southern cities like Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, etc all average a full 10 percentage points higher in the month of July.

So, there ya go... you've now, in your lifetime, heard someone question NYC Summer heat.  :D

Grew up in the Midwest which I thought was muggy. New Orleans in the middle of July was the nastiest humidity heat I have ever felt. Insta-sweat as soon as you step outside.

Live in the Pacific Northwest now and have gotten soft.
