I don't remember Jack ever having a major injury. Or a minor injury, to be honest. He hurt his hip early in 1963 playing a shot from the rough *(35-40 years later he had that same hip replaced), but the only real effect was he had to alter his swing a bit. The result was he could hit a draw more easily, and the won the Masters that spring in part because he finally mastered the draw (he's a natural fader). Tiger has had, what, four knee surgeries? Broken leg, achilles...and between the balky knee and his achilles, seems like he really hasn't been healthy for very long stretches the last 4-6 years.Not sure comparisons to how often Nicklaus WD are relevant given Jack was much healthier in his prime.

He withdraws during the latter stages of tournaments more than most because other players will tough it out just to collect a $20,000 paycheck and he obviously doesn't care about that.
