After a fluke 4 rounds last week Eldrick is back in form, tied for 86th.
Fluke...interesting...I guess he has had at least 12 fluke rounds with 3 wins huh?Not bad for a "ham and egger".
3 mickey mouse wins against lesser competition. Upgrading to solid ham and egger with no majors since 2009, which is what he lives for.
Well, you are either just fishing...or one ignorant person.Enjoy either one.
He ended 2010 #3 in the world. In 2011 he was injured and only played 11 events, dropping to #52. Now he's playing full time again, the best player so far in 2012, and already back to #4 in the world ranking.
Lots of folks continuing to look awful in here. Hey fin

:lmao: Fishing so I could reel you in off of his nuts.

Rain delay. Should soften up the greens and allow him to make the cut.
It allowed others to vault past him.

From winning The Ham and Egg Classic to possibly not making the cut the very next week.
Eldrick back in form after an anomally where he putted out his ###. Eldrick knob gobblers in hiding.

Wow I'm sure the guy running this is really bummed Tiger and Phil MC'd. I know he worked hard to get Eldrick there. TV ratings will now suck...

just put a call in to Phil to see if he'd be up for my 4-man scramble next weekend

he declined saying that he wasn't sure his game was up to it

guy should take his #### and retire to the early bird tour

I just found out I will be able to get FREE tix for Sunday Greenbrier round! I'm really stoked. Maybe you guys can catch me on CBS tomorrow should one of these guys hit a wayward tee shot.

You guys still haven't figured out that whether he plays well now has everything to do with which course he's playing?

I have. Thats why he wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational so often. That's why he sucked this week. The knobbers don't know this.

:bye: Hey mouth. I've been out of the country. How's your boy Tiger doing this weekend? I imagine he's near the top of the leaderboard, right?

Well I found out the scoop on how they got Tiger to play. They supposedly gave him a 1 million $$ line of credit at the Greenbrier casino.

Just watched most of the CBS coverage on DVR. I saw myself at least 3 times. The best one was a good 2-3 seconds when I was real close to Charlie Beljan when he was behind 17 green trying to figure out how to play that great flop shot he hit.

How much money could I have made on this tournament if I could go back in time and lay money on Tiger missing the cut and Daly dropping a -10?

Appearance fees are illegal on the PGA Tour, but I figured getting both Tiger and Phil to go play a second/third tier event in WVa, there had to be something with the casino involved. I'm curious how the conversation with Finchem went. And I honestly might have taken Daly over Tiger this week. I don't think he's showing up to every event with all his horses aimed in the direction needed to win anymore. Especially an event like this one. I imagine he showed up to hit some shots in competition that he'll need to hit at Royal Lytham & St. Anne's, booze, and most importantly, gamble with house money. Then get out of Mayberry by Saturday morning. Same goes for Phil. If they happen to shoot some low numbers in the first two days, whatever, they'll stick around, but I doubt either of them was fired up to go out and win this tournament.

Wow...I'll be surprised if this is true.http://msn.foxsports.com/golf/story/Tiger-Woods-Phil-Mickelson-Jim-Justice-Greenbrier-miss-cut-070612&sa=U&ei=7-X6T9nOOuqQ6wGYjdTvBg&ved=0CBEQFjAA&usg=AFQjCNGlg1vfbJ8A8LgfHuM2_v9mA8jdew

Jim Justice is a billionaire, No. 375 on the Forbes 400 list of the richest Americans. He’ll be a little poorer financially and a lot poorer spiritually after the two iconic golfers he coaxed into playing his Greenbrier Classic both missed the cut on Friday.According to a source close to Justice, Tiger Woods was paid — indirectly, so as not to contravene PGA Tour rules that prohibit appearance fees — $1.8 million to sprinkle star dust on the Old White course this week. For the second straight year, Justice indirectly paid Phil Mickelson $1 million and, for the second straight year, the Californian left the stately Greenbrier resort early after laying an egg.

The PGA Tour just extended the Greenbriar Classic contract to 2021. Just in case anyone was wondering about the coming outrage out of Ponte Vedra.

Makes you wonder how often this "indirect" payoff thing happens. I've always wondered, but this is the first time I've seen it done and circumstances leading to a light being put on it. $3.8 million for Phil x2 and Tiger and not a single shot has been hit by either on weekend network coverage. This guy is a glutton for punishment. Although, I guess if you're a billionaire you can do ridiculous things like try to build a successful PGA event in BF West Virginia.

Yeah, because who would have thought a Macdonald/Raynor design with a historic affiliation with Sam Snead as the pro emeritus would have any chance of making it, eh?But I agree with the premise - the very rich are different from you and me.

The scoop I heard (from the same guy I was talking to in the stands on 18 about Tiger) is that the average tour player loves it because of all the stuff there to do and the anonymity they can enjoy in a small town. He said he was actually talking and smoking a cig with the guy that ended up winning, Potter, earlier in the week and had no idea he was a player until Potter told him. I hate it that Phil and Tiger don't seem to be trying hard or taking it seriously though.

In White Sulphur Springs, WV without that guy's money? Nobody. Maybe you. Maybe not even him. This is all out of this guy's pocket and he's going to lose a lot of money when it's all said and done.

Heehee....I was waiting for Otis to show up. This ought to be a fun weekend. Bad thing for Otis is, Tiger MUST finish on top for his argument to have merit in this thread.
Not really...the guy has one 3 times in solid tournaments (spare me the ham and egger talk from "you know who").A top 5 in a major would be a solid week and show he is not just some guy out there right now.And if Snedeker continues that lights out play. Would it really be a "failure" for a guy to go out and shoot 10-12 under and not win it all in an Open?Im sure to some in here that will refuse to give him credit...possibly even if he wins...it won't be enough though.

Looking forward to the goalpost movers when Woods wins his next major:

"He's not really back until he wins the Tiger slam, and breaks course records again."

This.Or he ends up with another top 5 finish and therefore is still done.

Going to be #1 in the world before too long, let people think what they want. The global golf authority says he is currently #4 and will soon be the best

Exactly! Who cares if the majority of the people believe he is not/will never be as good as he once was. As long as he is # 1 on paper, that is all that matters.

No, winning his first major in five years will do it for me.It is you guys who move the goal posts. This thread is about whether tiger will ever be dominant again. Not whether he is done completely. Top 5 finishes don't help your argument, and all your smoke and mirrors isn't going to change that.

He's won three PGA Tour events this year, which is more than anybody else and more than the top three ranked players combined.

He is having a solid year, no doubt. He will likely be in the conversation for player of the year too. However, he is still not dominant, and that was the whole purpose of this thread. After the 08 US Open you would have got great odds that Jack's record would be dusted by now. The odds that he wouldn't have won another major would have been off the charts. +2 through 3 today.
