TheNostradamusSheikIn the past, if Tiger shot a 3 under on the first day, it was good news. Because that was probably going to be his worst round. Now, when he shoots a 3 under on the first day, there's a good chance he just shot his best round of the tournament.
Glad he makes the cut. I want to see him collapse even more this weekend.Looks like he makes the cut on the number at +2...
No Claret Jug for you this year, El Tigre...
Next year, he wins every tournament he enters, and even wins some he does not enter.Finless wins the Internet

I don't really remember the specifics of his definition of 'done'.Finless wins the Internet

Was actually wondering what the haters preferred- surprised this is the preference I would have thought you preferred that he miss the cut, because that's a stain on his legacy or whatever and you can fap to the MC next to his name not just through the weekend but at least until the next major. Now he'll just play two morning rounds and post some dull result like T-40 or something and the haters will throw little hissy fits all weekend about why they're showing him on TV when he's not in contention. Although I guess the flip side is that it creates more material for jokes?Glad he makes the cut. I want to see him collapse even more this weekend.Looks like he makes the cut on the number at +2...

Tiger will be teeing off around 3am EST this weekend, can't imagine too many folks (haters or not) will be up watching his round. Was actually wondering what the haters preferred- surprised this is the preference I would have thought you preferred that he miss the cut, because that's a stain on his legacy or whatever and you can fap to the MC next to his name not just through the weekend but at least until the next major. I like 4 days of ham and egger type performance. When he's hacking, I really enjoy the updates. It's when he's totally out of it, like now, and they show him make a par. That's so ridiculous. It's not going to bring back the nuthuggers. They all gave up long before he did. Most have tuned into women's basketball. Was actually wondering what the haters preferred- surprised this is the preference I would have thought you preferred that he miss the cut, because that's a stain on his legacy or whatever and you can fap to the MC next to his name not just through the weekend but at least until the next major. Good point. You can root for or against people for any reason you like (although unlike many of the hundreds of other athletes caught cheating on their wives at least Tiger seems to still be interested in being a decent father). But that's fine. Yeah, it makes you a hater, pretty much dictionary definition, but you're hardly alone. Doesn't make sense to me, but who the hell am I to tell you how to enjoy sports?I've said this before, but it bears repeating:Was actually wondering what the haters preferred- surprised this is the preference I would have thought you preferred that he miss the cut, because that's a stain on his legacy or whatever and you can fap to the MC next to his name not just through the weekend but at least until the next major. I was a HUGE fan of Tiger. Loved watching him. It was amazing to see him play, the things he could do and the feats he could so easily accomplish. But that all changed after everything came out about him cheating. I don't hate him for any other reason than that. is that a good reason to hate someone? I don't know. Maybe. I happen to have very high morals and strong family beliefs. It's not a religious thing. It's just how I was raised. I know not everyone is like me. In fact, I've taken a lot of flak from friends and not so much friends for my beliefs and feelings on the subject. But that's what I believe.
Do I think Tiger isn't one of, if not the greatest golfer ever? Hell no. He was amazing. There is no denying that. But I root against him now because of who he is, not because of what he can do. If that makes me a hater in people's eyes, so be it. But there's a reason I root against him. And it has nothing to do with anything other than his character.
Clutch birdie. He's still got it.Looks like he makes the cut on the number at +2...

It's ok to hate some things. The Nazis, for example.
Actually he aims for spectators heads so as to stop the ball from advancing further into the rough. He gets an A+ for creativity.Good thing about Tiger teeing off at 3am is that no one will be up to see him roll the ball to a better lie.

I have to confess that I find it interesting. Your dislike for Tiger Woods has more to do with your perception of yourself. You're letting a complete stranger that you'll never meet affect your mood? Okay.Interesting.

I'm not sure that my mood has ever been affected by Tiger Woods. As I've stated, I've taken a lot of flak for my stance. That's fine. It doesn't bother me. But I'm not sure my mood has ever been affected by Tiger.

Introspection is painful. I get that. I don't particularly like it when people remind me that my real problem is in the way I perceive myself. I don't expect you to like it either.
This thread's been pretty weird from the get-go. Remember JuniorNB? For that matter, remember Finless? The latest is just a different, deeper kind of weird. This thread just turned really weird.![]()
Pretty sure Finless said the same thing - 5 years ago.I see the bashers are out in force. Second tournament since a significant back injury and only 2 in several months.
Not arguing the overall point here, but anyone who expected anything more than mediocrity this weekend was delusional to start with- he had no chance this week either way.

To an even or maybe one under par? DoubtfulHow's Tiger lookin? We going to see a classic Saturday charge?
Lookin' bad, feelin' good ...what's the diagnosis doc? How's Tiger lookin? We going to see a classic Saturday charge?
So he sucked again?Well, weird, but at least more interesting than the "nuthugger" stuff.
