They test for all drugs. Performance-enhancing failures are announced...recreation failures are not.Looks like you were right: linkWell, if I had to guess I would say he failed a drug test and is suspended as that is the only thing that makes sense in my mind as to why we would mention he is out of the Ryder Cup. My guess is he will need to go to rehab to satisfy the PGA. The PGA never announces their suspensions but this is most likely his second one unless you really believe he was out 11 weeks with a bad back a few years ago. I think there is little to no doubt Paulina loves blow and certainly a lot of whispers that DJ has enjoyed it since his college days.Seriously?Dustin Johnson is headed back to rehab, tough to stay off the slopes when you date a coke whore
Weird that they test for it though, right? I'm having a hard time thinking of a less performance-enhancing drug/sport pairing than cocaine for a golfer.
He's going to be hot for the rest of the year...contend but settle for Top 5 at the PGA...then light some a$$es up at the Ryder.27! Holy crap.
Sergio? He's going to be hot for the rest of the year...contend but settle for Top 5 at the PGA...then light some ###es up at the Ryder.27! Holy crap.

Not really. By any measure he'd be behind Colin Montgomerie on an all-time basis. Among active players I suppose it's him or Westwood. Is Sergio the best player ever to have never won a major?

Takes two to tango. I imagine the mrs probably would have stepped out with someone else if not Johnson. What a dirtbag Johnson is. Have it on good authority that he also broke up a marriage of a sponser family out in Sahalee a few years back when a big tourney was out there. Shvantz.
Agreed. Although Westie and Sergio are making a good run at it.Monty won the European Tour Order of Merit 8 times, 7 in a row. He had a putt to win the PGA at Riviera, finished 2nd the next year at Royal Lytham & St Annes, runner up at the US Open thrice. Ryder Cup hero several times over. Among modern players it's a long ways to 2nd best player to never win a major.
BPTNWAM used to be used affectionately; it was a way to recognize underrated players. It devolved into a pejorative. I've read many times it's a modern, media driven term. I think the first players I heard used extensively were Weiskopf and Kite; thankfully they both broke their yoke eventually.Agreed. I am curious to your opinion on the subject. Whom are you going to pick after you Google it looking for your answer?Lol at Monty being best player all time with no major.
Mickelson had the tag for a while. 13 years after he won his first tournament, he'd won 22 tournaments and finished in the top 10 at the majors 17 times. But no majors until the 2004 Masters.BPTNWAM used to be used affectionately; it was a way to recognize underrated players. It devolved into a pejorative. 8 of those were 2nd/3rd; Stewart made 2 insane putts to nip him @ Pinehurst but he definitely missed some easy back 9 putts to give away a couple. What an amazing run he's had, though. The shot off the pine straw to go for the eagle at the 2010 Masters ranks as one of the best full shots in history, and his 66 to come from 5 back to win The Open last year is one of the most improbable rounds. Those two post-meltdown at Winged Foot majors really took his legacy to a different level.Mickelson had the tag for a while. 13 years after he won his first tournament, he'd won 22 tournaments and finished in the top 10 at the majors 17 times. Just like Tiger....amirite?This thread can just be retired now. Booooooooooring.
But what about he defenders that say the Ryder Cup NEEDS Tiger for the ratingsNow Watson's job is a lot easier
Who covers the Ryder Cup? NBC? I am sure we'll still get plenty of Tiger coverage about him not being here, and what it means to the American public to have a hero missing in action. But what about he defenders that say the Ryder Cup NEEDS Tiger for the ratingsNow Watson's job is a lot easier

Wait, what?Tiger has never played well when the spotlight is on him. He's just standing up for himself here.

I'd be surprised if Tiger even plays on the Champions Tour. Doesn't seem like his style at all. I think he just disappears from public life at that age, especially if he never even sniffs Jack's PGA major record.Tiger Woods new goal - challenge Jack's record of 8 Champions Tour major victories.
He has a little over a decade to rehab and prepare for the challenge.
Dude's got bills to pay. Might be a limited schedule but if his sponsors want him to play....I'd be surprised if Tiger even plays on the Champions Tour. Doesn't seem like his style at all.
