There's like 2 of those guys here. Most sane people know "he'll be competitive, but he's lost the fear factor"

Poor Tiger gets so abused by the public and mistreated by the press. This guy could take a dump on the 8th green and would have 300 fans scambling to touch it while the guys in the booth would comment on how perfectly formed it was.

The root thing bothered me though. Was it mostly dramatics, or is he that fragile? I'm trying very hard not to think that he was looking for an excuse to pick up his ball and go home.

It's also important to make sure you wince enough to let your playing partners know about it in case you lose to them (so they know that's the reason why)

Spieth is playing phenomenally, but the conditions are ridiculous. No reason whatsoever not to firm/speed up the greens today. They like him and prefer he have the scoring record than Tiger. That's the only explanation I can think of. The approach shots look like it's TPC Scottsdale.

They need 3-4 hours to dry the greens out. They could have done it. Doesn't make any sense. They want the scoring record broken.

I was working today and missed it. After watching the DVR, yep. As always, he reverts back to the dip. All he needs is somebody to drill it into his head to knock that off and he'll be fine. Not sure that will ever happen.

He was taking rips at it yesterday with the driver. His swing on the 17th tee yesterday and the 1st tee today looked very different, like the difference between a 30 year old guy and a 50 year old guy. He looked a little better as the day went on today. Just never got it completely loose.

Quote in ESPN article says "There's a little joint that popped out, and I was able to somehow put it back in, which didn't feel very good." and elsewhere mentions it as a ligament. I could certainly see where hitting a tree root at that swing speed could do some ligament damage.
