Titans 2025 (1 Viewer)

Not part of 90 for whatever reason-

DT McTelvin Agim
G Logan Bruss
DT Isaiah Iton
DB Gervarrius Owens

Contract Terminated
LB Curtis Bolton
WR Stanley Morgan Jr

(Per TD)

Callahan-
"If the season started today, who would be starting opposite Ridley?"
"Bryce"
Later he explained it would be a big ask to expect a drafted WR (if they draft one) to start day one. Bryce has been in the system a year

OMG! Again!!!

I can not get over all this this offseason about Bryce Oliver

He is the best six catch WR ever!

Radio in TEN and Schefter and more popping up on X, have Levis traded during the draft.

A Titans source says they have a few offers which is explained by- probably the same round, probably want to see if their guy is available as to which offer they take

Seems like decent chance gets dealt, better for Titans to have a vet backup a rook, i'll say he goes for like a 5th for a team that might be a little unsettled at QB and he's a flyer as a secondary option.

Skattebo visit is interesting as they've met with him before.
Why did they want to talk again last minute?

is this just a fire sale? I don't know why you'd trade Jeff. I'm not sure who'd really want Levis unless someone thinks he can be a project. I know the thinking is getting more draft picks is good thing but I just don't see it as that much of a positive move. Even if they draft Ward and even more so if they don't draft Ward...what are you going to do at QB. You have Levis, Albert and Boyle. You gonna trade Levis and sign Rodgers? Or they going to trade up to a late first and draft Shough/Milroe/Dart? In my mind, Levis is still better than Boyle/Albert and would be fine emergency 3rd QB (assuming they draft someone and or sign Rodgers) and there's not really a point in trading him.

He's 28 and his value will decrease.
We were loving the concept of Casey and Simmons and then Casey was gone. Now it's Sweat and Simmons. Will it be the same?

He's one of my favorites ever so I sure don't want it to happen

George Kittle and the Niners are far apart on contract talks and he reportedly would like to play for the Titans if he can't work things out with the Niners.

He has a home in Nashville and TE U and is a common guest on Nashville podcasts so there would be a big lean here towards "life" and not necessarily the Titans but...nonetheless, it's interesting

I still want Travis Hunter.

I like Ward now and as ya can tell he's grown on me. I'm not comfortable with a lot of the reviews and why are you bringing up his high school to tell me he's good? Who does that?

The Titans don't do this well. They just don't. It's like a mechanic building a house or a carpet layer fixing a car. I don't doubt the Titans can but if I'm driving by the mechanic's house I'm wondering who is helping him. Unintentional disrespect, I know, but the experts are the construction guys and I don't think we all believe someone can do well from a YouTube video- even though we all have- until it's done.

Not recently, but they have decades of great trenches. Well Sweat and Simmons now. They have some of the best backs ever and a wealth of DBs.

The Titans get gifts of QBs. They get lucky someone, that everyone doubts, is plug n play+ Moon, Collins, and Tannehill.

The QB guru Whisenhunt, umm nope. I liked him but geesh did he crash hard. Callahan's prior work is wonderful but we had the worst record and I am to have confidence in him with this drafted QB and ignore Levis and Willis? I do remember, many don't, those two were supposed first round picks at some point leading up to the draft.

The comfort level I would have with trading down for Jeanty is enormous. I bet if they pick a lineman with the extra pick, he turns out to be great too.

I can't explain why it crosses GMs and coaches but it does. The Browns and Jets aren't dissimilar. They make 100k changes and can't draft a good QB unless everyone criticizes the pick because he's an overachieving walkon and getting a key free agent QB doesn't do any good either.

When the Titans do what they do well, then good stuff happens. This is so out of our wheelhouse. I hope they watched a YouTube video of how to get this done.

The Titans still haven't committed to Ward but rambled on about him so the whole world is totally wondering if they'll draft him. Gimme a break!
I like Borgonzi's shtick about meeting a player's family. That's a nice simple tactic. Scouts do it all the time and it's rarely written about.

The Titans don't plan to draft on need. This was an interesting statement and maybe it's untruth like they haven't decided on Ward, but that's the stance I like. He has said we're not passing on a generational talent and today to say 3-4 times they will draft BPA is what I want to hear.

They haven't had many discussions or spent a lot of time putting thought into trading players during the draft. Really? Simmons and Levis reports are false? Because they're common by names that aren't wrong often.

Callahan said a shpeal how they have to coach far far better and I felt that. He's a nice guy. I appreciate his self awareness and honesty. If they have a bad year but not the worst and he gets to keep his job, it'll be because of this stuff and that Ward showed improvement.

Really no comment on the Snead arrest stuff.

Separate from presser- Daddy Callahan met and approved of T Moore signing. Daddy is going to be the bust that gets his boy fired if he's wrong. What a dynamic!! I feel for that family's stress regardless.

I didn't hear Callahan say it but supposedly he spoke of issues he's going to address more during camp and penalties and ball security are on him and his staff.
I think I linked to it here.
I did not hear him use Jahquan as an example and say he could have coached him better.

❤️💪❤️💪
Cmon, the guy fumbled a lot on returns. It's clearly on him but what a statement. I applaud the coach for that

I'm really blown away by how many expect Vrabel to draft Will Campbell.

He's been oh so often compared to Skoronski that some even use the word clone in their writeups.

Skoronski to guard was a huge non-impact pick for a team that was desperate to not close the window and somehow stay relevant. There were guards available in free agency and one or two were pro bowl caliber too.

One of the main things that stopped Vrabel's time as Titans coach and Ran's and JRob's as GM was having turnstile tackles and failing to upgrade. As we know, a lot of things on offense don't really matter or are supremely minimized if the QB is hit all the time.

I remember so many times how Dillard or NPF or Lamm or this guy n that guy stunk so OK you said in camp that Skor was a guard, but why not move him to LT to stop the bleeding. Vrabel was so defiant in his I know best responses and that ego would do him in.

Why would he draft a great prospect with short arms again? They both seem to have everything you want from a college tackle- true gems- but the arms.

It's triggered me to watch more OL reviews from former OL and try to understand better the last few years. They don't generally say different.

The Titans drafted a tackle last year with a gigantic wingspan and he's a gem that'll be a great LT some day. We're all wrong that he should play right like he did in college. Oh wait they signed a free agent T? Yeah he belongs on the right now. All that is so messed up and a clear sign of a poorly drafted team, no doubt, but the physical traits and the film clips and breakdowns and I'm ok ok I see the difference. He is significantly different than Skoronski.

Now there's like a cartoon feet stopping brake noise and vroom The Pats will take Campbell.
WHAT!

So Campbell and his short arms are supposedly going to be fine but when he faces a gem at DE, he's going to struggle and probably always will because of it. Yeah that's who they draft and sign! That's the description right there.
The Titans don't admit most edges are special athletes when talking of tackles or when adding edges either and that's why they've got all these late round guys and UDFAs and pre-retirement players and journeymen.

I feel like this is one of those times everyone knows something wrong is about to happen but don't want to say it. Maybe it's me, what do I know? But I swear if the rumors are true, Vrabel is about to do exactly what he shouldn't.

I don't want Ward to get Moon's number one jersey and I don't care if Moon gives his blessing.
This is not how retired jersey numbers are supposed to work.

Bri I'm excited for your team. There's 2 can't miss guys. Hunter and Carter. Cam Ward has potential.

What's your take on the assistant coach who slandered Shedeur Sanders? I personally think it's to drive his value down. If Shedeur ran a 4.3 he'd be the first pick. I have no idea were he is being drafted.

I think he'll go to either the Saints @ 9 or Pitt @ 21. But I could also see the Saints wanting to go RB to get out in front of having to eventually replacing Kamara so I'll take the 21.

What do we think of us taking Ward #1?

I don't know this story.
I mentioned earlier that Deion putting recently fired GM Ran Carthon on his boy's "committee" was inviting problems so I'll guess it's somewhere in there but I know nothing

I would have preferred Hunter and Shedeur.
I like the Giants draft.
I'm so afraid of the Titans Titan-ing

Very surprised Tomlin didn't take him.

hes not a #1 overall pick. I like Ward but he is not close to being a finished product. he likely needs a red shirt year before hes ready. I think the Titans made the right call. and possibly saved the Giants from themselves in the process as I think New York has too many holes on the team and the kid will not be put into a good situation.

I'm not sure if we went Sheduer to Ward here.

Rudolph signing with the Steelers took away any chance Ward sits for an extended period. No one wants to see any of their backups.
If they passed on Hunter and (have the opportunity to) pass on Arch next year they might as well sell the franchise. Ward doesn't have to do all that much but show us a thing or two, give us a couple highlights, and don't get a mayo sponsorship.

Rudolph (reminder, I'd say pretty good because it's a step down from good) is pretty good and they can roll with him in Pittsburgh. There's not a lot of doubt he can keep them at .500.
I wonder if he's in Pittsburgh's second round plans because it's just safer and they think he needs to sit like you do.
I think Arthur is more McCord and Shough. Arthur creates the mismatch, you throw it where he sets it up.
Sheduer's ability to adlib can be fun but I'm not sure if they would tolerate that.

The NFL can be hypocritical. If a rookie QB scrambles it's ooh he's keeping the play alive and hope he finds someone open. If he's in the pocket, well then he had better...it gets strict. I think Sanders is a little stuck with this and not being insanely athletic.

Why didn't they take this trade!
It's gonna haunt me. I know it.

Oh how my sanity needs Ward to be good
In hindsight, yes but I understand their rational for not wanting to do it. Even though the Giants added Winston they could have still taken Ward but still might have taken Carter. They were likely most worried about the Browns taking Ward @ #2. Might have been a good idea to talk to the Browns about what they would want to move up if they trade down but that would be kind of tipping their hat and likely didn't want to do that. It could have been absolutely wild if they traded down to 3 then traded back up to 2 and then traded with Jville.

I'm optimistic about Ward. I clearly like football, both real world and fantasy but I'm a dirty casual. I don't spend a lot of time reading articles and don't really watch College Football all that much so my knowledge is quite limited however, I have pieced together or perceived that Ward is this years best QB so I'm hoping for good things.

WR or Edge in rd 2? or trade down to maybe get us 2 picks so we can address both?

Very wide open. Lots of choices make sense.
My favorite is FF like trades to get more picks.
Edge and WR both seem good.
No slot WR in the second please though

Trade down like I wanted.
The safety that's recovering but is one of the best and docs say good things...ok I guess. Could be a steal.

The LB has especially negative reviews and I felt like that was Borgonzi missed out on edges he wanted so he tried to manufacture one rather than move on.
I may be wrong. He's quite positive this guy's a player.
Violent big hitter at Mike but was having issues processing and play(set) calling so they moved him to edge week 4. He stops the run well (not surprising after prior position) but didn't have the moves that an experienced Edge would have.
That's a weird pick early-ish but a fine project later.
Borgonzi has that air "I know what I'm doing" when he speaks so I'm open to being wrong but phew a lot of people are questioning this pick.

Borgonzi specifically mentioned RBs and WRs tomorrow so that's what I expect.

Re Kyle Williams- yeah I know the Titans wanted him and Vrabel got him. I liked him as a slot and ooh look he plays outside well. But at some point everyone was trying so hard to convince the world this guy is an outside receiver that it gave me pause. Maybe he is just a slot? Why are they pushing it? It had a weird vibe. Slots stink in Tennessee. Name one! I am fine with not drafting him.
I thought mocks had lots of slots or WRs with issues in the second unreasonably. Square peg round hole. Teams need starters in the second. I'm very ok with not grabbing a WR.

I feel no urgency at WR.
The cupboard is starting to get bare. I love Oliver, Ridley and Lockett will be fine for a year. I'm also not certain Jahquan isn't a good WR either. It's not abnormal to draft WR highly for year two with a QB.

Probably need an edge still but let's believe the GM.

What about OL that fell? I saw an unusually good amount of OL rated later this year. Brandon Thorn and others really praised some 3-4th rounders.
A TE that can block like a beast and oh btw catches the ball? Can we get the opposite of what we have?

Idk when the top K goes but I'm fine with a late pick on the top K or grab the top K from CFL or UFL. It's never bad to have a top player.

I think Brownlee's teammate mentioned a few times.

There might still be a QB. 6th 7th round? They rrrreally did a lot of research and it would not surprise me if they traded Levis and drafted a project.
People make too much of this concept but really who cares about the seventh round as long as ya like the guy? If some noname QB from random university impressed them, then do it.

Still need good picks but late late, all I care is that they loved the prospect. Pick whoever in sixth and seventh

The Titans are statistically the best team at UDFAs over the last ten years and even better before that.
Borgonzi needs to get with the scouts and keep that up. We don't have much going for us in Tennessee and they cover a lot of bad picks and injuries and...need this to continue

Oladejo hit it off w Titans at senior bowl and really took to coaching. He was told that's gonna elevate him in the draft and give him a long career so he just tries to be the best student he can be
♥️
