**TNF on Prime - Niners at Rams**(-8.5, 44) 8:15 (3 Viewers)

QB controversy
Purdy is 100% a better athlete. Imagine Niners offense with Jennings, Auyik, Kittle, and Pearsall.
Mac had a Garoppolo first half. Good decisions, on target easy throws, take what's there, avoid mistakes. He also stays in the pocket and takes a hit - something i noticed in his rookie year. Meanwhile, yes, Purdy is a better athlete and he makes wow throws almost every game I've seen.
And scrambles and has some juice running the ball. Mac has none of that mojo.

Mac does seem less turnover(INT) prone compared to Brock.

There’s probably a research paper to be done on perception of football players in fantasy. Mac Jones did ok last year with the Jags in an impossible situation but he sure made Thomas effective like he should be. Mac Jones may just join Mayfield in the resurrected QBs list, & Dan Jones may not be far behind.

Mac Jones only two or three spots behind Purdy in EPA/PFF grade combination/average. It’s really not much of a drop off.

This is comical how bad the Rams defense is. 5 yards on every run, convert every 3rd down , no pass rush, guys wide open all night.

And after all that nonsense, Mac Jones finds his TE open across the middle for a first down
Mac Jones has to be moving into one of the better back up QBs, he doesn't look nearly as bad as others we've seen of late
Cinci wishes Browning looked this good.
The Miami Dolphins way back in the 70s and 80s always had a decent to good back up QB, heck they won more games with Earl Morrall during their undefeated season filling in for the injured Bob Griese. They were a respected organization that was always spoken of highly and boy are those days long gone

It's a sign of a really good football team and leadership from the top down showing respect for the other 52 guys on the roster so they can go out and feel like they still have a fighting chance
I cannot say enough about the ability to develop back up Quarterbacks and Shanahan has to be considered one of the best along with the guy across the field from him

I absolutely will not put down the Rams effort tonight, this is simply great coaching and leadership by the Niners so far tonight, they deserve all the credit

He was slammed pretty hard into the turf, i hope he is OK, it's been so much fun watching him escape New England and fins his way to this spot
I hate injuries, I hate them I hate them I hate them
This sport is absolutely brutal

Yeah, Mac is hurt. I was worried about that coming in, too. Not good. Now the Rams D can turn on the heat and Kyle better be scouring the wire.
