I couldn't disagree more. Steinberg is coming off as very jealous and jaded- SJ will ask him a question and then Steinberg will make it into some criticism of Drew when the question really had nothing to do with him. Or Drew will be talking and Steinberg will visably be shaking his head at the same time- very rude imo.He came off looking very hypocritical imo. One example:

His numbers have been amazing throughout his career, his work ethic is great, and he displayed amazing toughness last year in coming back to play in the super bowl.You may not like him as a person, but try to be a little more objective when analyzing him "wasting" his talent.

First I don't know T.O. to "not like him as a person" personally I could care less what he does. Second I was very objective when analyzine him as "A shameful waste of talent" So you can better understan what I saying, please allow me to put it this way. T.O. is the #1 or #2 WR in the NFL and he on National T.V. looking like a fool. I not questioning his talent it's his mind set. Another way of putting it..........his a great talent.............but a crying shame.

TO decides to redo his 1-year old contract, after getting everything he wanted. At which point he decides to throw Mr. Eagle (Donovan McNabb) under the bus.

Bottom line though is that Leigh got his point across, and that point is that Rosenhaus has single-handedly ruined any popularity that TO had left. This guy is the most hated active player in the NFL right now, and thats pretty remarkable coming off an awesome season, where he looked like a true team guy, and a virtual warrior performing the way he did in the Super Bowl. TO would never throw a game. Just like I don't think he'd sit out this season on his own will for more than a few games. He's quite possibly the most arrogant player in the NFL (as seen by doing situps in his front yard for fans and media). He's extremly worried about his own stats, and records. He wouldn't go out and half-### it on the field.The Eagles have been right in the past regarded getting rid of players....Duce, Bobby Tayolr, Brian Mitchell, Hugh....the fans hated it, but in the end the Eagles front office was right. But I think this time they might not be. Greg Lewis might be good...but the guy has only made 20 receptions in his career. Reggie Brown hasn't played a down in the NFL. McMullen isn't much more ahead of Brown. LJ isn't a proven commodity either (though I believe he's gonna have a really nice season) But who else do they have? I think the team would be in big trouble when their runningback is also their go-to reciever.OK, Eagle fan here. I'm not worried about TO throwing games (I don't think he can afford to; that's just bad self-marketing). I am worried that WRs like TO don't come along every day. If it was all about the money, he could have coasted thru last season with the rehabbing to get back for the big game.Furthermore, he gets suspended for practicing when he shouldn't be???

I thought Drew came off very well and Lee came off looking a little bitter and jealous. It looked like he was only there to bring Drew down when really the purpose of the interview was to examine NFL agents in general.
Edited to add: Look, as a football fan, I do hate holdouts and all. But as a business-person, I admire Drew greatly. He has built himself into the biggest NFL agent today and is a very hard worker and skilled person.

T.O will probably be an UFA next year............his by some ranked #1 or #2.............yet who will want to deal with him. T.O will not get the money he wants next year (speculation on my part) there he'll have to settle for less. Other than Little Danny, who else is willing to pay him? If Philly allow T.O. to walk that'll say it all. T.O has said he's going to be a problem, he's shown that, and he'll continue to be a problem all year long. T.O is going split this organization in two.

You brought forth a bunch of examples of TO misbehaving off the field. Since I had just disputed your claim that TO was a waste of talent, naturally I assumed that your reply was dealing with my dispute. Therefore, I assume that you were saying that all of those issues were hurting his performance.

Question for you as an Eagles guy. I understand the not re working the contract thing. But why are the Eagles so adamantly against a trade?
Secondly, what's the feel regarding the workout video / media frenzy thing? That was surreal. Of course it didn't help with ESPN's Greenberg leading into the story with the line of "TO unloads". I kept expecting the video to show him pulling a Kenny Rogers on the camera guy or something.
But the dumb bell curls in front of the camera was over the top, even for Owens. What's the word up there?

You brought forth a bunch of examples of TO misbehaving off the field. Since I had just disputed your claim that TO was a waste of talent, naturally I assumed that your reply was dealing with my dispute. Therefore, I assume that you were saying that all of those issues were hurting his performance.
Sorry if I was wrong to assume, but if not, then what was the point of you posting all of that? And could you please clarify exactly what you mean by waste of talent?

That's interesting though. It's sort of a pride thing.
In other words, let's imagine Owens was a Bengal with the deal he has now and wanted out. The Eagles trade for him. Realize the contract the Bengals gave him is undervalued and say, "sure, we'll pay you what you're worth".
That's not a hard situation to envision. But when it's your guy wanting a new deal because he's undervalued, it is different. I'm not faulting them. I'm saying it's human nature. And just interesting.

Seeing as 1/3 the league has been arrested for DUIs, battery, domestic violence, drugs, gun charges, Vick's herpes are probably rank fairly low on NFL character chart.
Vick has plenty of character, and is a great leader. His team rallies around him, and their record is far better with him then without him. He takes more of a beating then any QB in the league.
Again, the point was the Falcons want character guys, and have said publicly they have no interest in TO. And if Vick was a FA, no team would label him as lacking character. So you're talking out of your ###.
