Just went through his filmography expecting to find classic after classic... Because he strikes me as such an iconic actor. Sadly, mostly TV and drek. It's the ones notes above and then not much

But I had forgotten he was in Dr Strangelove! Apparently his first movie.

What a voice, and seemed to be a delight to all who knew him. RIP

1. Vader
2. Lion King
3. Field of Dreams
4. The Sandlot
5. Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings

ETA: I forgot Field of Dreams on my initial list :bag: Bingo Long was a really fun watch if you haven't seen it. Caveat: It's been close to 40 years since I saw it, but I remember it fondly.

I remembered Richard Pryor was also in Bingo Long...., but didn't remember Billy Dee Williams was also in it until I looked it up.

He said that he loved theatre the most (he got offered more challenging roles there than in film). I think it is really when throw in his theatre credits that get to where he is an iconic actor.

Ray - So, what do you want?

Terrence - I want them to stop looking to me for answers, begging me to speak again, write again, be a leader. I want them to start thinking for themselves. And I want my privacy!

Ray - No, I mean, what do you want?

Terrence - Oh. Dog and a beer.
