The play was illegal less than 20 years ago & it’ll no doubt be changed back to where there’s no pushing allowed next season.
Prior to 2005, it was a penalty to push or aid the ball carrier, not the QB, but any ball carrier. To be clear, this is what you think they should go back to - no pushing of any ball carrier anywhere on the field?
Funny this play has been legal since 2005 but just these past 2 years are the complaints about it. I wonder what happened in the last 2 years.

Yup, players have been pushing the ball carrier for 19 seasons now - over the line to gain, over the goal line....but something about the last 2 years are just unacceptable.
If you can't stop it, ban it. And trust me, if they could stop the Eagles, they wouldn't be worried about banning it.
