I'll need to see a full season of this before I get jumpy&quo about him.We should keep an eye on this Pulisic kid. Getting good minutes at Milan and starting to really contribute.

I tuned in at around 60th min at 1-2... and it was all Milan
your joke would be funny if it was funny. Inter. milan. inter <> milan.I tuned in at around 60th min at 1-2... and it was all Milan
Well it was Milan vs. Milan so this makes sense...
Theo too.I think Abraham got MOTM.
If so, what a joke. I would pick Pulisic, but Leao was equally fantastic and influential.
good lord. even better than the original angle.
just stunning. plus he's beating two guys on the dribble cut back inside to set up the pass... PLUS the vision to see exactly where he'd need to put that through and behind players in movement. and to have the composure, foresight and touch to do it in the 94th after putting in two full 90 shifts after coming back from injury. great googly moogly... absolutely otherworldly. That pass from Pulisic for the game winner was elite, world class. Might be the best pass I've ever seen from him.
The weight on it to let Leao run right onto it..... Just sheer beauty.
I'm mostly fine with this roster. There's not a lot interesting here though. This is mostly 3rd tier guys that have no shot. The ones in MLS that have the best chance at the 26 roster are likely going to go to the U20 camp.Camp Cupcake roster

agreed. But he lost his starting job towards the end of the season and playoff run so probably makes sense, although giving him away for funny money is just odd.Obviously I'm not up on the phone book sized set of MLS salary cap rules, but LA giving up on Jalen Neal can't be a good sign, right?
I may need to stand down on this. Word is that Quinn was not released. Teammate McGlynn was so speculation a transfer is in the works.Leaving Quinn Sullivan off isn't really a surprise either given Cavan kidding him about switching to Bangladesh last week. FTR I don't think they were serious. But it seems pretty wild to have not called Quinn. Several of these guys are just roster filler anyway and Quinn outperformed most of them while being younger than anyone on the roster barring Cremaschi.

He missed almost a year with a sports hernia so it's probably stunted his growth a bit. He's still only 21 and this is a good chance for him to get starter minutes so don't give up hope. Thats really disappointing. I'm far from an expert, but I thought that kid showed a TON of promise in his early appearances a couple of years ago. Big, pretty athletic and seemed to have passing range that just doesn't exist in our CB pool outside of Ream.
Hope he turns it around.
Plus CBs are some of the latest to develop. Takes both mental development (reading the game, studying film, etc.), psychological development (not letting players get under your skin, mot letting a mistake get your off your game), as well as demanding good physical strength to be strong in the air, strong in the tackle, etc. There's still a chance he can make an impact, although the window is closing. He missed almost a year with a sports hernia so it's probably stunted his growth a bit. It's like when the NBA decided Barkley and Malone needed an MVP award because Mike already had a few.Well deserved. Could definitely make an argument for CP as well, but I love that Jedi got it.Tim Howard surprising Jedi during an interview with the news about winning player of the year

I think he has played striker and wing in his career.Just seeing Rashford linked to Milan.
How would that impact CP? Is he more of a 9 and not in competition?

If Rashford gets back to full confidence a Leao Rashford Pulisic front line could be amazing.
High risk (Leao attitude, Rashford confidence and Pulisic health) but if it all comes together it could be a huge reward.
Haven't watched a lot of Milan, but I think CP has been playing on the right and at the 10 correct?@B MaverickI think he has played striker and wing in his career.Just seeing Rashford linked to Milan.

Thanks. I was mostly looking for rash for feedback in terms of preferred position. I was thinking he'd be a Tammy or Morata replacement at the 9. Rashford is talented, and a change of scenery is probably needed for him to get back to his best.
A rejuvenated Rashford would be an upgrade at striker over Morata I think. Maybe Abraham too. If CP is playing the 10, a front line of Leao, Abraham, Rashford would probably be a lot of fun for CP to play into.
Rashford "reportedly" prefers the left, for whatever that is worth. Not sure if he actually told anyone or just talking heads following a narrative.Thanks. I think Milan also has Jovic and that kid... Comarda? To play the 9. In form Rashford would be a nice upgrade there. And I suppose could also rotate to a wing to give CP a breath.
Christian has won the award in the past in years where he struggled to get off the bench. I was a little surprised Jedi won considering Pulisic probably had his best all-around year. But I also think it's the rare year where two Americans had genuinely terrific seasons in top European leagues. Jedi would have been a no-brainer pick in like 75% of the last 25 years. It's like when the NBA decided Barkley and Malone needed an MVP award because Mike already had a few.Well deserved. I've reached the point where I don't really worry about Pulisic earning playing time. I could argue that both Leao and Rashford have had in-form moments in their career where they were better than Pulisic is right now. But neither has ever sustained it long. And Pulisic has frankly outplayed Leao for the period they've been together. If Pulisic stays healthy and keeps doing what he's doing, he'll play. And he'll produce. Outside Salah, Mbappe (if he's playing as a wing) and Vinicius, there's not a lot of wings in world football who are any more productive. And that's kind of crazy after the salad days of Messi and CR7, but it's a different game.Rashford "reportedly" prefers the left, for whatever that is worth. IMO It's probably his best spot, but he has had great moments across all 3 attacking positions.
I do not know enough about Leao to say if Rash is better or not. Current form CP > Rash but if both are in good form we can debate who's better.
Rash in good form is better than Morata and probably Tommy A.
At the end of the day it's really going to come down to IF Rash can refind that 20+ goal form in Italy.
CP had a great year for club and country... But some injuries keeping him out still, no? Felt like Jedi was out there every match going bananas. This is where I am too. Given how he's played for Milan, I can't imagine there is anyone on the team sheet above Pulisic right now, except maybe Riejnders. I know Leao is capable of more than Pulisic, but he doesn't have the consistency that Christian does right now, although I think defenders are much more afraid of Leao than they are of Pulisic. Rashford has achieved that level briefly at times in his career too, but has never sustained it.I've reached the point where I don't really worry about Pulisic earning playing time.
