This may indicate Rashford to Milan is close

AS Roma and AC Milan, in direct talks to discuss permanent future of Alexis Saelemaekers and Tammy Abraham.Negotiations underway
Even more telling is that Milan just loaned Okafor to Leipzig. He's basically the backup LW in that squad. I'm thinking this might be happening.
Wow... Hadn't heard that. Okafor has been ok for them, but doesn't get a ton of quality PT.

They are running out of stats to show how dominant he has been

=======

[PFF FC] Antonee Robinson has completed the most line-breaking passes among all fullbacks in the Premier League this season

U20 roster for the January camp. No games will be played and a lot of our top talent isn't here so this appears to be mostly an eval camp. Some interesting names that stand out to me are center backs Dettoni and Anderson (it appears he's newly identified as eligible). Along with Murray here, we really have great depth at CB in this age group.

2007 Mid Darius Lane got his first call last window to the U18 team and here he gets bumped two age groups. Very interesting.

Also of note: I'm not sure if GK Beavers will be there as it appears he is transferring to Brondby in Denmark.

U-20 MNT ROSTER – JANUARY TRAINING CAMP (CLUB; HOMETOWN)
Goalkeepers (2): Adam Beaudry (Colorado Rapids; Castle Pines, Colo.), Gavin Beavers (Real Salt Lake; Henderson, Nev.)

Defenders (9): Freddie Anderson (Stoke City/ENG; Manchester, England), Luca Bombino (LAFC; Saugus, Calif.), Grayson Dettoni (Bayern Munich/GER; Munich, Germany), Aiden Harangi (Eintracht Frankfurt/GER; Reston, Va.), Ethan Kohler (Werder Bremen/GER; Campbell, Calif.), Drew Murray (Freiburg/GER; San Jose, Calif.), Nolan Norris (FC Dallas; Fort Worth, Texas), Owen Presthus (Columbus Crew; Columbus, Ohio), Chibuike Ukaegbu (Sacramento Republic FC; Roseville, Calif.)

Midfielders (7): Matthew Corcoran (Birmingham Legion FC; Dallas, Texas), Taha Habroune (Columbus Crew; Columbus, Ohio), Darius Lane (Brighton Hove Albion/ENG; London, England), Cruz Medina (San Jose Earthquakes; San Francisco, Calif.), Bryan Moyado (LAFC; La Puente, Calif.), Sergio Oregel Jr. (Chicago Fire FC; Chicago, Ill.), Brooklyn Raines (Houston Dynamo FC; Chicago, Ill.)

Forwards (4): Keyrol Figueroa (Liverpool/ENG; Warrington, England), Caden Glover (St. Louis City SC; Columbia, Ill.), Zavier Gozo (Real Salt Lake; Eagle Mountain, Utah), Ruben Ramos Jr. (LA Galaxy; La Puente, Calif.)

seems like many of the Euro teams did not release.

And I also read that Seattle and Philly are both going to be in Europe in preseason and they did not release either.

Richie and Tillman starting, Pepi on bench.

Weston went the full 90 and Weah was a second half sub in a 1-1 draw.

Pulisic and Musah both starting for Milan

New York Red Bulls captain, Emil Forsberg, on John Tolkin's qualities to play in the Bundesliga,

"he has everything a left back needs", his mentality and his desire to improve will help him settle in Germany without any problems."
Are there recent links to bundie?

I remember some at the end of the summer transfer market.
Nothing concrete. It seems like Red Bull are just waiting for a good offer

[Marcus Chairez] I am hearing that very talented ‘09 center-mid Gustavo Borges is headed to Eintracht Frankfurt. Borges turns 16 soon and has an Italian passport, making the move possible. Borges was briefly at D.C. United, but played most of his stateside academy ball at Achilles in the DMV area

A Bundesliga debut at 18 as a CB is not at all common. Granted it took an injury for the opportunity but that is kind of baked into the CB position since they never get subbed.

Strong 2-1 win for Utrecht today over Feyenoord. Paxten scored the winner.

Utrectch stay in 3rd and open the gap on 4th to 4 points. They are 3 points behind Ajax who is in second place.

Paxten, Pepi, Pulisic, Weah and the older Aaronson are all likely to set career highs in league goals this season.

I believe both Aaronson bothers and Weah have already accomplished this by January.

Aston Villa have signed Donyell Malden from Dortmund. This move may open up some minutes for either Gio or Campbell.
Maybe that partly explains why Gio has been playing more minutes recently. Pretty sure the last four games are something like two starts and two somewhat substantial appearances as a sub.

I think this is what you're saying in a different way, but I'd like to think he's playing more minutes because he's healthy and deserving, which is why they unloaded Donyell.

Earnie Stewart to @GoalUSA on if Ricardo Pepi could leave PSV this winter: "First and foremost, regarding all the transfer issues, I can take those off the table because there's not going to be a transfer."
Are you hmmm-ing because the quote seems carefully phrased to imply that a loan could still be possible?

That would suggest that they're still viewing him as their future starting striker (which certainly makes sense).

A loan would only make sense to a team in a bigger league that would be almost certain to start him for the rest of the season. Even then, it seems a bit unlikely to me...they won't need him to win their league (probably even if Dejong gets hurt), but they're still in Champions League, where he's certainly a valuable backup.
