US Men's National Team (15 Viewers)

===========

AC Milan sporting director Igil Tare on the possibility of Yunus Musah staying with the Rossoneri:

"We have an agreement with Atalanta. The injury of [Ardon] Jahsari has complicated the situation. The final decision will be made tomorrow."

Musah went 95 and had the most ground covered of all their players.

CP was that late sub/goal. Also had a nice meg and feed. Looked good. As did Musah.

Kind of a forgotten guy playing in the Bundesliga

From Sciaretta:

James Sands goes 90 minutes for St Pauli in a huge 2-0 derby win over HSV

- Sands should have always been a d-mid- 6/6 on tackles, 8/14 on ground duels, forced a tough save in the 80th minute

Johnny seems an AM auto start.

Im watching a bit...playing a 6 role. Not being asked to do more than clean things up in the middle third, space and ball, which hes doing decently well with. Moving well too- anticipating the pockets of space on defense and closing them down.

what a terrible result for Leverkusen today. They were winning 3-1 and up a man, and the game ended 3-3. The two late goals came after Malik was subbed off

Poch doing the rounds...........I would prefer he be watching some games

I think I’m officially on the “fire Poch yesterday” bandwagon. Lousy rosters, lousy results, no recruiting, no communication with players and an apparent lack of interest in watching our best players.

What exactly is he bringing to the table? Maybe slightly more tactical flexibility than Berhalter?

Not one to delve into USA national team areas much as it’s not my terrain.
But…taken in stadium with James Sands & his calmness in one of the fieriest derbies any footballer will play in. One of St. Pauli‘s best on the night.
Should be someone the #USMNT are watching

Sarge with a banger late to sew it up for Norwich. 6 goals in 5 games.
wow
Yeah...not his usual fox in 6 yard box tap in.
My first thought too. Of his six, all but that one (maybe one other?) aren't goals that you get very often against top teams. Butt goal. PK. Header into open net from 2 yards. Credit for being in the right place and hustling, but those goals dry up as you go up the ladder.

But that one today? Woof. That was a bomb -- good anywhere anytime.

Also getting stupid yellow cards and leading his team to 2 points in 3 matches against bottom feeder teams. Atleti is cooked and Johnny in the 6 won't win them anything. It's not all his fault, but the lack of any semblance of attacking aggression is partly due to him.

In what way?

What i saw was similar to what he did at Betis- clean things up in back of the middle third and give the ball quickly to the more attacking guys. Its not fancy, and pirlo/modric he aint- but i honestly dont know how that play hurts his teams attacking aggression or costs his team points. And its a position that will draw a bunch of yellows naturally.

If anybody on the day, i thought it was their 9 that did them in. Couldnt win or hold on to the ball and didnt offer much in the way of linkup play

At least he got to meet Matthew McCanaughy.
US STRONG! alrightalrightalright.
At least there are some soccer ties to McCanaughy. He is a minority owner of Austin FC
Lots of celeb soccer ties at this point. Just pointing out thats what im seeing for Poch...instead of, you know, actual soccer stuff

Richards going the distance in a shutout win.
CCV also 90 in a shutout in the old firm, but once again rhe offence stalls into a 0-0 tie.
Richards had to earn his way in there but he's turning into a monster. Palace is a really well run club and I really hope Guehi stays because that back three is playing so well together.

Honestly, I'd love any Americans to go to Palace as long as Glasner is there. Same with Bournemouth and Iraola.
