US Men's National Team (19 Viewers)

First time I've been able to watch these guys. Not impressed with de la fuente at all.  Looks every bit of the not yet 18 year old that he is.

And as I'm typing this....TIMMAY!!!

I want to see Ledezma.

I thought they were clearly on for the second goal. Guy looked behind the ball to me

Slow start and moments of being outmatched... The first goal needed somebody to step to him sooner and the GK.. not exactly catlike or athletic with the dive. Nowhere bear the corner of the goal.

But as Andy said, the US found the speed of the game and I loved how diverse their attacks were- finding space down the wings but also through the middle with Mendez. Thought overall they looked really good and were creating great opportunities.

And having seen Ecuador against Italy .. I thought ECU was the dominant team there and deserved better. Just got punished by a player who had the ability to take advantage. Win or lose here, US yutes showed me far more than their senior counterparts in that Jam game.

Fair score, but could be for either team, even if ECU attack has shown a little more class. US doing most of it's work with overlaps from glister and dest, with some nice moments from pomy and mendez

If you guys are going to treat this like the gameday thread at least tell me the score. I'm in a hotel room and this isn't on the score app. :kicksrock:

The better side won. Feels like they won every 1v 1 on the outside.

Sargent probably finishes that chance that Soto blew

Over all good tournament for the US.

Lets hope it helps some of the players looking for loans and or playing time when they head back to their clubs.

Durkin didn't do much for me here.

Richards, Dest, Glocester, Pomy, Weah- all seem ready for next steps.... Mendez/Llanez/Ledezma with lots of upside, but need more marinating down the road

They showed that they could not just shoe up- but actually play against the best in the world. I'll take that over a result where they're far weaker and just hold on for dear life

All of this, except I'd move Weah into the marinating group for now.

Nice to see what the Dest fuss has been about.  Pomykal as advertised.  Richards a revelation.

Each to their own.  You can have the participation medals and orange slices, I want the freaking hardware.

They beat France and played well today (outside of the d on the first goal). So I'm confused.
I'm on supermarket weeks. 😀  Maybe bad half week to be accurate.  USMNT looks like crap and Sargent really blows.  Pulisic not playing in next friendly.  U20s lose.
