Christian Pulisic becomes new AC Milan player today — official on Wednesday
◉ Pulisic will land around 9am CET.
◉ Medical tests around lunch time.
◉ Contract until 2027 to be signed in the afternoon.
◉ Documents already signed with Chelsea.
makes me nervous.....the last time we got this close, poor Jedi was not allowed to sign his contract with Milan because the medical flagged a problem in his heart.

Luckily the problem with his heart turned out to be something so minor that simply cutting caffeine (specifically coffee) out of his diet fixed all the issues.

I'll reiterate that Panama has looked very good from what I've seen.

this US squad winning would be a bit of an upset IMO. as would beating either of the teams in the other bracket for 1st or 3rd.

I can't speak to Panama but I agree about Mexico.

IMO, we out played Jamaica in our first meeting. Yes we were a bit lucky that Turner saved the PK but the score line flattered Jamaica IMO.

edit to add I see you mentioned 3rd place. There is no 3rd place game. If the US loses tomorrow night, that is the last game of the tournament for them.

Panama +450 right now to beat the US. Thats really tempting.

The Gold Cup continues to do massive numbers on TV.

The US Canada game was the most watched sporting event on US tv this weekend. It drew a combined 3.7m viewers across Univision and FS1

Even more interesting, the US is drawing equivalent numbers to Mexico on Univision. That has never happened before. I assume some of this is due to Mexican fans being so unhappy with their team but I also like to dream that maybe, just maybe the US is starting to crack the Mexican American demographic to at least be the second favorite team.
I am 51 years old father of two.

I am a diehard American football fan but my interest is less than what it was, and each year I need to talk myself in to fantasy. I do it because it's one way I stay connected to my buddies.

My interest in baseball has changed over the years from partial season-ticket holder to not GAF.

I watch playoff basketball...maybe.

I used to watch golf. Not interested. I watch a little tennis here and there. The Majors anyway.

I am more and more into soccer, in part because my son plays it and plays it pretty well. We are tracking all the professional off-season stuff and having fun watching to see who goes where. A 2 hour soccer game is very doable for us. EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga...fun. The U.S. journey for the men's side is compelling. The U.S. fight to stay at the top on the women's side is equally, if not more, compelling.

Maybe I'm an anomaly, but I think I'm an early indicator of what's to come. For what it's worth, my son feels like I do. That's not a surprise. But his buddies seem the same. "Baseball is boring" is a common refrain and kids who've played on teams are quitting due to lack of action.

It'll be an interesting generation to track.
I was a huge 4 for 4 sports guy. Over the yrs my hockey interest dwindled because flyers suck and coworkers who did follow hockey left. Stuck with a dam penguins fan and devils fan now.

I follow the NFL the most. Soccer is second thanks to my interest over the years and now part of a fan club in my city.

Basketball NBA Dont give a flying F outside of Chicago and follow College more. I won’t go to a 76ers game unless it’s the bulls and I can get cheap tickets. You couldn’t get me to a random NBA game for court side seats and free.

Baseball i flow still from fantasy and other reasons and Phillies being good and Ohtani playing with that local kid named Trout helps.

Gio did not dress for Dortmund today in their friendly. I don't know if he is hurt or if it was just a split squad type of thing as I did not recognize a majority of the names for Dortmund

I hate to be that old guy, but there ought to be a law against Milan or Barcelona ****ing with their jerseys.

My thoughts exactly. Iconic jersey design but this one is a disaster. Hopefully its a promotional or third kit or something they never wear.

Milan #11
It looks like they asked an AI to design their kit. Awful.

This together with the ridiculous "3" shirt sponsor Chelsea had the past several years surely hinders sales in the US for CP gear.

I can't make wagers on my Maryland based account while in FL though...
do VPN's not work for this stuff?
It doesn’t matter if you have a Cyberghost VPN, Express VPN, Atlas VPN, Surfshark VPN, or any VPN provider. A licensed gambling website is well aware that some people will attempt to access their features via a VPN server. Consequently, a top sports betting site will have measures in place to limit the chances of anyone securing a VPN connection to their platform.

Operators have security and technology in place that can detect the use of a VPN or a proxy and will block you from placing a bet, or playing games in the online casino, or playing poker. You may even find there are some licensed operators that you can use a VPN with to place your wager with, but, if this does happen and you are caught, your account will be suspended and closed. You can even lose your money if you win and try to withdraw your funds.

Using a VPN in itself is legal and they are very good as they can also protect your data. A virtual private network (VPN) protects your data by creating an encrypted tunnel for the data you send when growing online. They are excellent to protect your online identity, and they do this by hiding your IP address from potential attackers. But they can’t be used at a licensed US sportsbook.

Regulated sportsbooks in the US are bound by state laws to only accept wagers or players that are physically located in the state. As part of the agreements operators sign, they agree to not allow players from out of state to play, even those that use a VPN to appear in the state. If a licensed operator like BetMGM, DraftKings, or FanDuel was ever found to be accepting players and bets using a VPN, they would have their license revoked.

Sites like bet365, Borgata casino, FanDuel, and WynnBET all use an advanced and complex system of triangulation to stop players trying to use a VPN. They use a combination of IP addresses, along with geolocation and other data, to work out exactly where you are located. As much as a VPN will try to spoof this, the operator will know. This is intended to stop anyone out of New Jersey, or any other state not offering legal sports wagering from online gambling in the state.

There have been many discussions on forums, reddit, and other such social sites with players trying to seek a way to use a VPN to wager on an out-of-state sportsbook and they have all come to the same conclusion that it’s an impossible task. It really isn’t worth licensed operators taking this risk and that is why they have such strong, advanced technology in place to stop VPNs or a proxy from accessing the service.

Sports betting VPN use may be ok in other parts of the globe, but in the US, operators do not allow using it because of the strong gambling laws in the different states.

Duane Holmes moved from Huddersfield to Preston today
Still in the Championship, and at a position where all the likely contestants for spots 6/7 on the depth chart just flamed out. Probably worth keeping an eye on still.

ETA: I was today years old when I learned Duane Holmes makes in excess of $300k a year.

Interested to see how much rotation we see tonight.
I’d guess Gressel, Zendejas and Neal will sit and have to think Reynolds and Ferreira are also candidates to start on the bench.

Jesus is not really a wide player so I would not be surprised if tactics lead him to pinch in and be more along side Milhailovic and force Reynolds to provide the width.

Just hoping Long doesn't do something stupid.

Bummed for Neal. I know he made a couple of little mistakes the other night but he deserves the opportunity to see this one out.

They'd never make this change, but with our current roster, this is what I'm starting with:

................... Ferreira...........Vazquez...............

....Cowell .............................................. Gressel..
...............Busio.......................Mihailovic.................
.............................Sands........................

.Jones................Robinson.................Reynolds

First subs: Yedlin, Tolkin, Roldan, Neal

here is the lineup. No idea about formation yet as Jesus and Vasquez both are starting.

Ok lets piece it together

........................Turner

Reynolds......Long.....Miles........Jones

....................Sands..........Busio

...........................Milhailovic

Jesus.................Vazquez..............Cowell
I mean, Long in for Gressel and obviously different formation, but otherwise, at least it's the best talent out there (save Long).
