That's correct. This is our U20 squad that will compete in CONCACAF in July.

I think I read yesterday that there are a bunch of players missing from this squad who are expected to be part of qualifying.

I haven't even looked at the squad til now.

Missing
Gk - Kochen is the likely starter even as a 2006.
Def - Wynder and Banks are not there. That's likely your starting CBs unless Akinmboni overtakes one. RBW also not there and he will be one of the starting fullbacks
Mids - Vargas is locked in. Cremaschi is with the U23s.
Fwds - Esmir with U23s. Cole Campbell missing. Rodrigo Neri as well.

Probably half these guys make the squad but yeah, lot of our top end is not there.
 
The biggest game of both Tessman's and Busio's career is tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the second leg of the promotion playoff finals to get into Serie A. First leg was 0-0 and Venezia hosts the second leg.

Honestly, it feels like crossing the ball is somewhat of a lost art. It is part of the reason a KDB is such a fantastic player - he has a skill that not many have.

I mean....he may still be....but I kinda always assumed there was a >50% chance that CP is gay. Just kinda got the vibe.

My wife was 100% convinced that he is, and just mentioned it again a few days ago. Haven't asked her yet whether this changes her opinion at all.

When I heard about the documentary and how Pulisic said he has led a very private life I assumed he would use the documentary as a way to officially come out. But no sooner did I think that, did I then see twitter posts of Pulisic with Alexa at a golf tournament.

Hope he ends up somewhere he can keep playing. I see guys like Milner and Henderson who were both basically quality journeymen that grew into being better players as they aged and got consistent roles and PT. That would be a good career for him... Not this wtf is happening every year BS he has to go through... Even after a solid year like he had.
 
Thierry Henry just found out that two teams in Ligue 1 are not releasing their players (5 in total) for the Olympics.

Bruce Arena gave an interview to the Abdo, Duece, Davies, Edu team and said he was prevented legally from saying anything about his abrupt departure but made clear that it didn’t end well for him. He’s been approved by MLS to return to work and is looking. The sound bite quote you’ll probably be seeing on your feeds is this:

“I think there are more quality players now than ever before. (But) you need those players with (Dempsey’s) attitude. We need guys that can compete and that are fighting for 90 minutes on the field. We need some tougher guys. They wouldn’t beat the 2002 team, the current team.”

The point is that you put yourself on the map to play for a good national team. Of course you could just go with the "B" team south of the border.

He already played in the last U20 World Cup up a cycle. It does seem sort of pointless to play friendlies with the U20 team at this point vs starting for the Sounders.
