US Men's National Team (57 Viewers)

Bright side about the B team...the opposition apparently had no idea what the scouting report was.

Can't give him that much time on his left foot

Where can I watch this in English. Getting tennis on tnt. Peacock only has Spanish.
See if you have TruTv. I am watching there.
I think I’m just about done with soccer. They just couldn’t make it harder r be a fan if they tried. I literally have the right streaming service and STILL can’t watch in English.
Honestly - have the Spanish feed on Peacock - had to switch from the English as it was grating on my ears.

Absolutely god awful 10 minute period. It is like they completely forgot how to play after the Johnny mistake.

I have a feeling this Turkey team may be the best team they play all summer.

Of the 4 guys I wanted to focus on; Luna, Freeman, Johnny and Tillman, I think only Tillman had a good half. Luna just can't find the game, Johnny had the terrible play and Freeman looks to scared to attack after he got caught up field once.

First half thoughts.

Two terrible defensive blunders. Outside of that.... I thought we looked pretty good. Tillman looks miles better than last time I saw him in a US jersey. I can see why he's done well at PSV.

Agy looks to have improved his hold up play. If he can keep working in this area, he could become a big asset for us.

Johnny... don't get it. Blunder aside, he looks a step slow in reading the game. There's no way he's a $40M player right now.

Everyone else was as expected. Good possession. Great movement. McGlynn's goal was beautiful.

Someone mentioned it earlier...
We just aren't a "build from the back" team mentally. Started on fire by playing direct, got on the back foot and can't control the midfield. Got punched in the mouth, twice, and yet still try to "build". As whole, the players we have are the best of the best...they're used to controlling the game. I don't think US players see enough of that kind of style to be patient. As a nation, we are too big, too spread out, and talent diluted at the youth level to be a high level control type of team.

Let the dogs loose.

That's mu thoughts too. I think he's gonna get worked by Real and Barça. Maybe he's great against lesser la liga clubs or tactics can be structure to hide his lack of speed but I am not stoked about this transfer.

Johnny... Yeah. A couple of quick reads to release the ball, but otherwise not much other than the blunder and a few minutes later, lazily trying to turn in our defensive third and getting stripped easily leasing to a dangerous counter.

Ag.. he's ALMOST really good. Seems like he's doing well getting his body into the spaces to win the ball, which he's done. But then doesn't look comfortable using his body to hold it up once he's gotten it. Every third first touch is good... Has to be much better there. He's flashed a little bit of everything good that makes me really excited. But also flashed more bad that tempers my expectations.

Aside from getting caught badly that time, and caught upfield at least once, I've been pleasantly surprised with Freeman and his decision making and execution on the ball. Yes, is like to see what he can do getting forward more, but I also feel like Luna and Tillman have both been making the runs into those right channels he's be making.

Is like to see more from Luna and Tillman going at guys when they're farther up field. Same for Arf, who has found himself one and one on that left flank a lot. I'd like to see some more bravery from those three to open themselves up for a shot.
