Week 9 who should I start thread **OFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

Pollard & Javonte are very similar but I lean Javonte by the slightest margin because Pollard seems to get pulled at the goal line for Zeke.

Goedert is certainly an option but I just don't trust anything about that offense outside Hurts. The game plan should be to run all day but who the heck knows with Siriani?

Javonte>Pollard>Goedert without much confidence.

Thanks, my rationalization for Pollard is the Cowboys up big 2nd half and hopefully Pollard gets a few series by himself in addition to his usual mix.  Wishful thinking perhaps...

I feel like Ace Ventura debating Finkle and Einhorn, trying to figure out Sutton or Jeudy.

I have a Magic 8 Ball on my office desk that I use to make really important decisions. Wish I had it now.
The spreadsheet I use to track the picks I make in here suggests you could do worse than flipping a coin.

I'm beating the coin so far but not by much.

PPR Flex

Jordan Howard vs LAC

Cedrick Wilson vs DEN

With Gallup out again, do I roll with Wilson? We also get return yards points but not sure he’ll see enough targets
Wow. As a magic football guy I hate Nick Siriani. But you have to imagine the game plan against the Chargers calls for a lot of running. No idea if they will be able to execute it but that has to be the plan.

Cedrick is almost entirely big play dependent and is unlikely to see more than 3-4 targets in a game they should win pretty easily.

So will Cedrick break off a long one or will Howard trip into the end zone?

Uhhhhhh...Cedrick???

Zero confidence on that though.

It's a very good rationalization and if your gut is telling you that then I strongly encourage you to listen.

I like Elijah if he plays. I am not sure how much Wilson eats into his role but I know McCaffrey could easily make Hubbard entirely irrelevant. Of McCaffrey doesn't play Hubbard>Mitchell but I still don't think Wilson eats into his role too significantly.

After that

Tee>ADP>Javonte
Yeah...at the moment I have Tee in at Flex and Eli as my RB2....with ADP as my backup option if something comes up with Mitchell before the afternoon game or I just don't like the feel of it.

With McCaffrey active...just can't trust Hubbard gets the volume to do anything.

PPR Hunter Renfrow or Deebo Samuel?  Sounds like Samuel is not full speed.
I love Renfrow but Deebo is one of the top WRs in the NFL this season and he has proven it week in and week out. He has one slightly sub par game. In my book you're overthinking and he's unbenchable.

Deebo>>>Renfrow

That's really close man. I think Taylor maybe possibly has the higher ceiling. Brisset maybe possibly has the higher floor?

It's a gut call. I'll ETA if my gut tells me anything after I hit Submit Reply.

ETA: Nothing. Sorry.
Magic 8 ball said I’m F####d this week anyway. But I left TT in.

So I saw your ADP > Javonte on another post.  I also have ADP but wasn't considering him due to the unknown, game time (I have no other options), and matchup.  What are your thoughts there?

Ravens or Packers defense?   Packers dee has been really solid the last 5 weeks, but worry about the unknown with Love potentially setting up short fields.  Ravens were run over by Bengals a couple of weeks ago and Minny has weapons too ---

Do I drop chubba as a non cmc owner for David Johnson. Standard scoring.

Not much time for a deep dive but it's a very close call that I could flip-flop on a dozen times before rosters lock. You say I posted ADP>Javonte earlier and my first thought was "Did I?". That's how close it is.

I am more confident about 14 touches for Javonte but I am also believing a little bit of the hype around ADP.

Both have tough roadies that could get out of hand but I think Tennessee can keep it closer for longer.

ADP>Javonte with very little confidence.

I wouldn't.

DJ was supposed to do something after Ingram got traded, right? In what scenario would you possibly start him where you could count on him  more than Chubba, even as a backup? Can't trust it IMO. But I do think McCaffrey might get hurt again. Hate to see it but he's drastically overused when healthy.

I think you have to hold this week if you don't need to spot start DJ.

I have Chuba as well and am holding to see how CMC comes out of this game.  Also have Pollard so I am ready to drop Hubbard after this week as I just can't keep holding backups.

I have K Herbert on MNF.  Do I leave him in there, start Kenyan Drake, or pickup and start Hyde?  PPR

Hard call unless you have montgomery.  If Herbert is alone in that backfield he is the winner.  If he isn't i would start hyde.  He will have a good floor

I don't think last week was an accurate representation of the rb share count in Houston against the rams.
Fair but isn't DJ the receiving back? Shouldn't he have had more than two rushes and one target?

He may have a great game against Miami's marshmallowy goodness but I simply have no confidence because of his obvious variance.

I have trouble predicting both Chicago backfield and Raiders in general this week.

Hyde does feel like a very limited upside guy but maybe a safe floor (6 receptions and maybe 60 total yards) and Robinson is out so he should see some volume.

Drake has the highest ceiling IMO bit his floor may be low. Tough to tell after two great weeks and all the mayhem in Vegas.

Hyde maybe? Drake if you don't want to make a transaction. Herbert if you think Montgomery is a decoy (I personally operate on the assumption that if a player is active they play).

Kyler or Colt? Assuming Kyler active, think it's best my best hope since I need a lot points to catch up. Maybe Colt will pull a week 8 Mike White?

Isn't Colt backing up Kyler? If Kyler starts then start Kyler. If Kyler doesn't play start Colt.
