What bird is more scary? (1 Viewer)

It certainly isn't a Cardinal, they're a pretty bird.....especially the males who are bright red.

A raven can be a frightful bird, the ominous color and decent size makes it a pretty scary bird.

However, as handsome, graceful and powerful pictures are of an Eagle, if you were anything the size of a large rat.....you'd be terrified.

Their talons are like razors, the beaks are pintpoint sharp and if you've ever seen one fly, you're amazed at the size of one of them.

The Eagle is by far the scariest of the 3 birds.

Very true, however... eagles are much more rare so you're much more likely to come across a raven in everyday life than an eagle. Also, eagles and cardinals don't have any creepy poetry penned by Edgar Allen Poe himself, so they've got that whole mystique thing going for them. And they peck out the eyes of the dead, which is just nasty. I like ravens to be the scariest of the birds listed by OP.(Cards / Steelers superbowl, however.)

I dunno 'bout you, but Ray Lewis and Haloti Ngata scare me more than any of these other guys......So based on that logic, I choose the Raven.....

Ravens will pile drive QB's into the turf head first if you let them. That's how they won their last Super Bowl.

Why is the Arizona football team named the Cardinals? Before being the Arizona Cardinals, they were the Phoenix Cardinals. Before that, the St. Louis Cardinals. But before that, they were the Chicago Cardinals, and along with the Bears, the Cardinals are the oldest franchise in the NFL. Ok, so why was the Chicago football team named the Cardinals? The team was founded in the 19th century, as the Racine Normals, because Normal Park was located on Racine Avenue in Chicago. The team used old uniforms from the University of Chicago. The Chicago athletic colors, then and now, are maroon and white. But these faded uniforms didn’t look maroon, and some observers called them faded red. Team owner Chris O’Brien countered that “they weren’t faded red; they were Cardinal Red.” The team then changed their name to the Racine Cardinals. The team name was later changed to Chicago, to better represent the city.

With the AFL forming in 1960, St. Louis was a popular destination for a new team. Already competing with the powerful Bears, the Bidwells decided to move to St. Louis to capture that market. Of course, at the time St. Louis already had a team called the Cardinals — the professional baseball team. Locally, the teams were referred to as the St. Louis baseball Cardinals and the St. Louis football Cardinals, much like the Giants of New York. In the late ’80s, after a falling out with the city, the Bidwells moved west to Phoenix.

The Arizona Cardinals aren't named after the bird.
Does it matter? The mascot is clearly the bird.
No kidding, look at their helmet, duh...looks like a bird.Edit: AFC wins superbowl, eagles and card are a joke against the Steelers or Ravens
I realize the Eagles were embarassed by the Ravens , but I also remember the Eagles manhandling the Steelers earlier in the season. I wouldn't be quite so confidant there my friend.

I saw an eagle once at the zoo sitting on a perch all bold and beautiful. A class of kids comes by and stares at it too. All of a sudden some bird (i don't know type, but it was medium size) flys in the Eagles cage, the Eagle gracefully flew up, snatched the bird out of the air with his claw, and took a big bite out of it. Some of the kids started screaming, but that convinced me that an eagle is not a nice bird you would want to mess with

Hit up YouTube if you think another bird is impressive. Watch them take out Sheep, Wolves, Deer, Foxes, Goats, etc.

Just spent some time watching a lot of "eagle" clips on youtube. Case closed. Eagles are bad SOB's.
Yeah, there's a ton of them... Some crazy stuff.
Seriously, taking down deer? WTF, those things could eat people if they really wanted to!
And you should be allowed to kill them in self-defense.I've seen ravens & eagles on the same day when traveling in Central PA - eagles are more bad-###.

There are actually 3 wild nesting pairs of Eagles in Philly now - although the one in the wildlife refuge might be living on the border. (Or on the edge - if they are Aerosmith fans)
