What foods or resturuants make you scream GROSS!? (1 Viewer)

U think so? I thought they were rather bland and over battered.

Now their chicken biscuit is very good.
I can see the over battered, but I did not find it bland.  But I was making liberal use of the dipping sauce; so, that could be why.

BEEEEEEEEEEEEFY
I'm slightly shorter and quite a bit fatter :porked:

I didn't think DQ actually had non-ice cream products.
More of an out of state thing, similar to Hardees quality.   I've seen a few here with limited menus

Chick:  one in the airport, one at OU and one at Somerset

Hardees: they appear to be in Woodhaven, Hazel Park and Sterling Heights
Good work.  I did not know about the Somerset Chick-Fil-A or the Woodhaven and hazel Park Hardees.  Woodhaven may be worth a trip.  Frisco burger might be top 5 all time fast food sandwich, although not sure they still have or if it's still as good

Don't ever look at their website and peek at the amount of sodium in their sandwiches.  :X
I don't concern my set with such things

Chick-fil-a and it's not even close.

Raising Canes and Zaxby's are better, but they don't have millions of zealot Christians claiming them to be the best thing god ever created since his garden of eden rib joint.
Yep. Thankfully my kids all love Zaxby's. Bojangles is even better than Chick-fil-A.

LOL at all the experts that have been to a place once and declare they are experts.  :loco:

So here's the thing about In N Out.....    After you have it many, many times, you come to appreciate that it's made with the freshest ingredients, and to perfection every single time.

I get that if you've been their once, you can see it as over rated, but when you've had this excellent product over and over again at a price that's very reasonable, you develop a loyal following to it.

There's nothing like a double-double just off the grill.  The piping hot burger, contrasted by the ice cold lettuce, with pickles and tomatoes is a taste sensation like having a fine wine compliment  a meal.

I personally like the french fries.  They are cut fresh right in front of you. No cancer causing chemicals added!  You need to eat them right away, which is why we always dine in. They aren't the greatest if you take them home, but all fries get soggy to some degree when you wait to eat them.

And then after you've been a zillion times, you learn the cool history of the place and the fact they pay all their employees well over minimum wage, even starting out.

I grew up in So Cal and moved away 7 years ago.  It's the only thing I miss and the first thing I'll hit in Vegas to tomorrow.

Sorry, but the Big Mac is the greatest FF hamburger of all time. And that's not doing it justice.
:lmao:

It's probably underrated. But off the top of my head, the Hardee's thick burger mushroom Swiss from I 70 near Lawrence, Kansas was the best I'd ever eaten. Quality seems to vary by location.

I love about anything from McDonalds but other than their fries, I am not sure any of their food is actually good so much as it's comforting because it has such strong associations of being a kid and it's flavors are so deeply pressed into my brain.

:goodposting: In N Out is tops when you factor in both burger and fries together.

I spent 10 years in LA, including college.

If anything, they got more overrated with time.

Fatburger King Burger GRILLED (not that fried crap), that's good stuff. Maybe not the nostalgia of Astroburger, but tastier.

and for those in SoCal the most underrated evah? The Hat.

Oh ####. The Hat! Yes! Only had it once but it was as close as I’ll ever come to finding Jesus. The definition of underrated.

Underrated = Dibellas Old Fashioned Submarine Shop!

If you've been, you certainly agree. If you haven't, find one and thank me later!

Their slogan should be "In N out...a simple burger for simple folks"

Tim Horton's is utter garbage. Microwaved muffins and donuts, "sandwiches" with almost no meat on them, ####ty burnt coffee, powder lattes and cappucinos and somehow across 1000s of locations, they've managed to train every employee to #### up every order.
Great posting.  Stopped once or twice to get coffee.  Not even that good.

Far behind 90's era Wendy's double, Hardee's Frisco Burger, Frisch's Big Boy, and Roy Roger's burger.

Overrated:

In 'n Out (most overrated by a mile)

Whataburger (its like, ok)

Carl's Jr (but yeah, they had good commercials)

Underrated:

Arby's (even Homer rags on it!)

Roy Rogers - Awesome chicken and OH! Those Double Rs! Plus, love me some Roy Rogers BBQ sauce

Popeyes - spicy chicken is awesome
Who the hell underrates Popeyes? Popeyes is better than porn.

When was the last time you heard someone say "Canadians have great coffee"?

Doesn't matter, you made no mention of the cheesy biscuits. Therefore you failed.
You got me there! By the way, they are CHEDDAR biscuits, not cheesy!

Now do yourself a favor and go to Dibellas tomorrow and order a Godfather and go heavy on the Dibellas oil.

First time I went there a this is what I had. It was okay, but I prefer a Jimmy John's, Firehouse or Jersey Mikes sub/sandwich.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits are better than the best. I once made the kind you can buy at the store and make yourself. I put a homemade crab cake in there with an a fried egg. It was a good breakfast.

My goodness, just throw Subway in with that list. Jersey Mikes is alright but Jimmy Johns and Firehouse don't even come close to Dibellas! You have lost all credibility and I cannot trust anything you ever say again, EVER!

Subway is the worst. I love the Vito at Jimmy John's.

Shocked to see In-N-Out on this thread a few times.   In-N-Out is easily in my top 10-15 of restaurants to dine at even though it's fast food.   I'd probably take a double double over 3/4+  of the burgers I've ever eaten at fancy restaurants.
This is how InO gets overrated.

Five GUys

Burger King keeps getting mentioned, but I don't see how it's overrated when nobody even likes it.
