What is the most you've ever cried or most emotional you've gotten about sports (good or bad)? (4 Viewers)

I was 7 or 8 in the 1980 or 81 Thanksgiving Day game. Chicago Bears returned the overtime kickoff for a TD to beat my Lions.

I bawled my eyes out. My family still makes fun of me - 45 years later.

I didn't cry but a Yung Major certainly wanted to break stuff when the Houston Oilers blew a 35--3 3rd Qtr lead to a backup Buffalo QB in the 1993 Playoffs

1994 NY Rangers Stanley Cup

So many memorable moments, but the most emotional had to be Stephane Matteau’s GW goal in double overtime of ECF Game 7 against the hated NJ Devils.

I wouldn't say I cried, I've cried very few times in my life....however I got choked up on the following occasions that didn't involve an actual death

Michael Jordan Iconic Slam Dunk Contest
Tiger Woods last Major Win
Tiger Woods first Major Win
Kobe Bryants Last Game, I think he had a 60 piece
A variety of USMNT World Cup Wins...always get emotional, especially if we were the underdog
My Alma Maters NCAA Mens Hoops Championship Game
Steve Kerr's/Golden State's first chip
Usain Bolt every time he won the olympic 100 gold

I may be forgetting a few moments, but these are what come to mind first.

The last Tiger woods major when he’s hugging Charlie on 18 is a good call. Lotta dads that are golf fans had to get near tears there.

2004 Red Sox. Everyone in New England had someone they wanted to win it for. My grandfather was born in August 1918. As I kid I can remember him saying he wanted to live long enough to actually see them win one. But he died in October 2001. He had dementia the last few years, but even to the end if the game was on TV he'd ask if they were winning.
This. I was on my honeymoon in the BVI. My dad was from Boston. Died in 91. Called my aunt and had a little cry with her after they won. . Best part? Wore my Red Sox shirt to breakfast after game one. No TVs at the resort. Owner saw my shirt and he and I watched the next few games in his apartment on a 12” black and white TV. I’ve got the coolest wife. She understood.
