What is Your Biggest "Do-Over" Pick of the 2007 Draft? (1 Viewer)

For me it's easy ...

I was sitting there with my 6th round pick and debating between two QBs ... Leinart or Romo ... Leinart or Romo ...

Please share your similarly idiotic draft day decisions.

Lamont was sitting there late and I took a stupid chance on Tatum Bell!!!! ARG! However I did get AP in the 5th so it all worked out ok. I didn't see this kind of production comming at all.

Jones-Drew dropped very far in one of my drafts. I saw nothing but value when I was picking 3.12/4.1. Grabbed him ahead of Portis and Peterson. Considering where I've seen him go, always late second, early third (and the occasional late first round??), I couldn't help myself.

You live, you learn

easy... time to pick a QB, and have 3 guys pretty even. Tom Brady, Carson Palmer, and Drew Brees. You can guess who i picked. :wallbang:

Traded up one pick (and paid a fortune) in a keeper league to snare Larry Fitzgerald... the next three picks; Portis, Calvin Johnson, Moss.

:link:

hmm tough one.. since i didn't even consider anyone else over steven jackson at #2 i won't go with him.

i took benson in the second and looking back i should have gone WR.. IIRC the only WRs off the board were steve smith & housh

Santana Moss in the 5th. When you consider I grabbed Marshall, Curtis and S. McDonald all in late rounds....5th is a ridiculous price for such a streaky player.

My only bad pick thus far has been MJD in the 2nd.

Moss & Big Dummy are obvious missed opportunities, but you can't really kick yourself too much for those.

With swing picks I was gong to take 2 WRs.

I already had Marvin Harrison, with a week 6 Bye, and had 3 WRs I wanted to choose 2 from. Unfortunately, two of the 3 WRs I was looking at ALSO had Week 6 Byes

So...I took Andre Johnson (B10), and the other two were Lee Evans and Calvin Johnson.

:goodposting:

I had already drafted Adrian Peterson, and thought so highly of Lee Evans, that I couldn't take another rookie...

Well, things are bad in Buffalo, and I didn't expect much of anything from him the first 3 weeks to be honest.

But let's hope he turns it around this week.

Easy.... Drew Brees! I have him in 4 of my 5 leagues... and he's killed my whole season... don't ever put your eggs in one basket... :goodposting:

Looking at Rany Moss and Brees in the third. Thanks to the rumor about Moss possibly being cut that day (thanks message board)- I go with Brees. Next round when I do grab a WR (Branch) Kitna was there.

So I could have gone Moss/Kitna.

added to Owens, Galloway, Westbrook, Edge, Gates. Would have been smooth sailing

Taking Leftwich in virtually every survivor league this year.

Have I mentioned how much I hate Del Sucko? :finger:

Mid 2nd rookie pick looking at my choice of wide receivers (besides Calvin Johnson)...

Took NO WR Robert Meachum over KC WR Dwayne Bowe because his upside is higher in the high-powered Saints.

Three weeks later Bowe looks like a keeper and Meachum can't even get on the field.

Not having Randy Moss on my draft board and drafting Larry Fitz over TJ Housh and Roy Williams
Funny as Pats homer I wanted Moss pretty bad. I knew the injury was nothing. Unfortunately he went one spot before me. I still got Housh at my spot (though like you would have taken Fitz if he were there :lmao: )

If I could do it over again, I'd take, well, any WR over Lee Evans.

Taking Cooley over Witten wasn't my most brillant move either.....

Drafting MJD is probably the one most up there for me. Looking back I wish I had drafted my WR1 when I got him, especially seeing the value of many RBs to be had in later rounds this year.

Second would be waiting so long on my defense so that I got stuck with the NYJ :gag:

How funny, I was going over my draft the other day and thinking of where I went wrong...

I am in 3 leagues... my league I run, a big $$ league (500 buy in) and a league with others in my field (just pride)

In my league - 3 keeper league (drafted after round 3) and PPR...

2 mistakes... decided to keep V.Davis as an 8th round keeper over L.Coles as a 7th round keeper (thinking was I don't have to worry about TE and it's also a salary cap league and coles was kinda steep at 1.7mil )

In hindsight I should have kept Coles... instead my keepers are Addai (3rd rnd keeper), MJD (6th rnd), and V.Davis

I had the 10th pick in the 1st round... and took Chad Johnson... targeted Owens at the turn but he got taken one before me... with no 3rd round pick, I went WR again and took Fitz... if I could do it over again I should have taken Gates who I've owned for the last 3 years...

In the big $$ league I'm 3-0, but regret passing on Lamont Jordan and taking Brandon Jackson instead... I flip floped, hem'd and haw'd, then went with Jackson... but the rest of my team is solid.

Still kickin myself for taking Tatum Bell in the 5th round. After I picked him there was an awkward silence and confusion in the room...normally my draft choices are pretty solid for the most part.

Wondered why I picked him then, and I'm still wondering why I picked him now.

The guy in our league that had the #1 pick, took LT... no brainer... then at the end of the 2nd (he had T.Henry and Betts as keepers) took Portis... and then Randy Moss... we laughed at him (he's a Viking fan) and teased him that he wasn't with the Vikings or Raiders any more...

Now, we aren't laughing so much....

Feeling your pain on that one... I was happy to deal 'em after week one. ( I got really lucky)

We drafted early in a 14 team, 2 QB start league. I felt a great value QB ws dropping unneccessarily due to risk, so I decided to go with the high risk/reward pick of MICHAEL VICK. I should have played it safe and taken Favre. I also took Evans in the 3rd as my WR1. I'm #4 right now in this total points league, starting McCown/Cpep as my QB2, luckily I grabbed Parker in the 1st, Portis in the 2nd, Kitna in the 4th, and Shaun McDonald late.

1:1 LT

2:12 Brees (Notables on the board: 85, TO, Wayne, Palmer, McNabb, Romo, Kitna)

3:12 Boldin

4:1 ADP

5:1 BAL DST

6:12 Reggie Brown (Notables on the board: Cotchery, Calvin, Lamont, Caddy, Galloway, Farve, Big Ben, Chambers)

Thank you sir may I please have another!

Thank god I drafted tons of sleepers that have panned out. Also got some nice WW pickups, and trading has been good to me.

I have deuce in almost all of my survivor leagues. I also drafted MJD, Evans, SJax, and Devery Henderson all over the place.

In a early 12 team redraft, I took Tatum Bell in the middle of the 6th Rd thinking I'd at least get good production out of him while KJ sat on the PUP....ugh...neither happened.

Picking Ahman Green over crappy QBs (pennington and the like) in a 2 QB league which I am new too... never realized how much these guys love qbs and hate trades. Having 3 #1 RBs and a #2 (Parker, Henry, Peterson, Green) wasnt going to help me.

I bought into the hype on Leinart. Incredibly, my VBD had him ranked right below Kitna by only 3 pts. Watching the stats Kitna is putting up then watching Leinart either handing the ball off (1st 2 games) or holding a clipboard (game 3) makes me sick. :goodposting:

Taking H. Ward instead of R. Moss in one league (already had him in another and didn't want to "gamble" twice)

Taking R. Bush in a PPR league instead of Westbrook (doh....so far, at least)

Taking Lee Evans for any # of WR's I coulda had in 1 league (shoulda avoided him in all leagues like I wanted to do)

Yep I picked Brees over one of the best too, Mr Tom Brady. I should have picked the home town guy.WWHHYYYY!

I'm pretty pleased with my rosters. I might have had Westbrook ranked higher, but all in all, no real do-overs except I wouldn't have used my last pick on David Boston in a couple leagues.

IT doesn't get much worse than this Redraft

Pick 2.4 MJD

Pick 3.9 Lee Evans :wall:

Pick 4.4 Drew Brees :wall:

Pick 5.9 Jerious Norwood :wall:

I dare anyone to try and top that

In a 12-team league, Maroney at 11 over Westbrook and Henry, who then went 12 and 13, so I didn't get either.

Bulger over Brady.

I took Lee Evans, but to be honest, I really didn't even consider anyone else at the time. He was the thirteenth receiver taken, and it seemed like a steal.

Two for me

1) 4th round: Passing on Randy Moss and took Boldin instead.....Boldin will be good, but Moss is the #1WR in my league so far

2) 6th round: Passing on Jordan and ADP and took McAllister. Oops.

 ditto. Brees in round 4 over Brady ( in all 3 leagues ). I'd rank this as my biggest do over ever... and I took Ricky Williams ( aka Mrs. Mike Ditka ) in round 1 a few years back ( yes, *that* year ).

I drafted Steven Jackson at #2 in a redraft, I'm pretty sure a lot of people got burned by that one. I'll be fine though.

Worst pick for me though was Matt Leinart. I drafted him in a league with a salary cap. I miscalculated my remaining cap space and because of his salary, I wasn't able to draft a backup QB and had to fill out my roster with extra D/ST and rookies with minimum salaries. Now I'm going to play the season with Garrard and Harrington.

I also picked SJax 2nd in a redraft league. At least I am nowhere near the only one!

-Picking Lee Evans 4.11

-Picking Marc Bulger over Romo as my QB. I thought for sure Romo would be a one year fluke.

-Picking Jerious Norwood over LaMont Jordan (he lasted til round 9!)

I hear you brother.I also had the choice between Colston and Randy Moss.

Memories

from the corner of my mind

misty water colored memories

of the way we were

of the way we were.

Reggie Brown with my 5th pick in a 12 team redraft, reverse serpentine, where I held the 4th position.

I hate Reggie Brown.

Gore

James

Walker

Hackett (whaddya gonna do)

Brown
