What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

@ditka311 @Limp Ditka Squishy Gummy is releasing tomorrow @ Noon Whistle, I'll be there at some point and likely multiple times over the holidays for growler fills.
Unfortunately, it's not possible for me tomorrow. My brother mentioned Pollyanna on Friday but that may be a stretch anyway. Maybe Noon Whistle instead if I do make it out.

Also - Decorah Sue is here now. The cans are in boxed 4 packs and early reviews have been really good. But then again, the FL version set a low bar...

If you're going to hit the Whistle PM me, I'd be happy to meet you over there and grab a beer or ten. I'll keep an eye out for Sue, but tbh I haven't been to a liquor store lately.

Was just in Chicago- mostly drank wine and cocktails but got plenty of CBS. If you are near Ukrainian Village, Roots has an amazing taplist.

Right now, back in Michigan for BA Plead the 5th. This is a big time BA stout.

I've only been to 81Bay once, a little over a year ago, and I didn't have anything memorable...maybe I'll revisit one of these days.

Just cracked a super fresh 7venth Sun Mangrove DIPA...this batch clocks in at 10% ABV and is smooth and not overly sweet. I'm so glad they'e finally canning. They have 3 or 4 different canned beer in their cooler right now.

ETA: good luck finding something good in Hawaii, I have no idea how the beer scene there is.
The scene isn't great, but it's not bad either.

I was in Waikiki Beach (Honolulu, Oahu) back in July.  Went to the Maui Brew Co. brewpub.  Good selection.  I had pints of Blood Orange Lorenzini ($9, American DIPA, 8% abv, 72 IBUs) and Double Overhead IPA ($9, American DIPA, 8.5% abv, 100+ IBUs).

I was usually able to find Sculpin, and local IPAs on tap at restaurants and resorts.  I found Maui Brew Co. beers to be better than Kona Brew Co.  I'm more of an IPA-guy though.

Hanging at Arkane in Largo...enhoying a Hopsterical IPA and am having a sour flight next of Funkernickel, Hop Tart, Tropic Like It' Hot, and Cherry Poppa

And Squishy is going to be gone very shortly. Only a few cases left and the keg kicked at 6pm. Didn't get a growler like I had planned on but was able to get a case.

Starting off with a Tasmanian ipa from Schlafly. I was supposed to go to Iron and Glass but had something come up. My brother did pick up some Squishy Gummy, Want to Believe, and Holihaze so I should get to try all of those anyway.

Squishy is excellent, drinking a hop prism blue atm...have squishy and schwing! as well. Next Thursday Gummy Buddy will be avail in cans at the Whistle as well.

Alright, not a beer. But we don't have a cider thread. Tried some Pacific Coast Strawberry Mint tonight while I was watching my Sooners whip the #### out of Northwestern. Holy mother of god, maybe the best cider I've ever tasted.

Just finished a 32 oz crowler of some local stuff, a_s_s_clown BBA Stout @ 12.5%. Probably should have stopped at 22 oz but didn't want it to get flat... Good beer for the price.

Found some Funky Buddha Last Snow on a shelf in a cooler...had to grab one.

Smelled boozy AF, thought it was BA for a second. It was good, but a shell of its former self.

Just shared a Last Snow from last year. Coconut very subdued but still tasty.

I have the Last Buffalo in Park from last year that I'll probably open next couple weeks.

Yeah mine was good, but just not what it used to be. Still better than 95% of other porters in FL though.

Tonight polished off a growler of Cycle Crank, and had some Sunshine City and Jai Alai.

Bell's Hell Hath No Fury.  Dark, Belgian-inspired ale.  Somewhat like a stout, but brewed with "Belgian abbey style yeast" according to the label.

Wife's Uncle came in from I'll few days ago. He's getting into stouts and brought down some Revolution Deths Tar for us last night.

Then the wife and her family went a tad overboard with my gifts...

A big haul...

Awesome Christmas haul! The Central Waters Space Ghost is very good, but the ghost peppers have a hard bite. Not for everyone.
Was really glad to get 1 of the stouts from this brewery. I've heard great things about them but I don't have access to it in NC.

I felt bad as I was talking earlier in the day about just getting 1 BCBS and then boycotting them going forward and the wife had already got a case for me. Can't wait to try a CBS tonight.

So I went to Sierra Nevada Brewery just outside of Asheville tonight. Incredible building and land. Decent burger, but weak beers. Come on Sierra Nevada, it's winter time and you don't have 1 stout on tap. Almost all IPA. Just got home so I can get a beer...

Marshall Zhukov. Enjoyable. Very Yeti like. Would have a hard time on a taste test telling an Espresso Yeti from this. Yeti a bit more head and lacing but that's about it. Yeti may be a tad hoppier, but really close.

What vintage?
