Buckfast, you going to GABF? I'm flying on the Wednesday before and out Sunday.
Yeah, I will be definitely be there. I'm not sure which sessions yet, but I am hoping to get tickets for Thursday night and Saturday afternoon next week. I'm really excited to come by your booth. If you are getting in early enough on Wednesday and don't have any plans/obligations, you should get a ticket to go to the What the Funk festival on Wednesday night. It is an awesome festival hosted by Crooked Stave with an elite selection of rare sour and barrel-aged beers. I already got a VIP ticket. Here is the link to buy tickets if you are interested:

There is so much good stuff going on in Denver during GABF week. Let me know if you want to meet up and hit any events that week.
I just booked everything. Land at 140 Wednesday. Need to set thing up then I'll be looking for something to do. That fest looks awesome, but might be a bit much for me. Might be on a tight budget. Staying at downtown Sheraton. Looks like the fest starts at 530 everyday, so I guess I'll be free most days. I'll want to hit as many breweries as possible. How's public transportation over there? Is it useable for brewery visits and beer bars at all? I know Crooked Stave is a must stop for me. Nothing else on that list. Never been to Denver, so I'm pretty excited.
GABF Week is great because there are all kinds of different beer events/tap takeovers/special tappings going on at different brewpubs and breweries during the week. Most of the stuff hasn't been announced yet, but I will keep you updated on cool events that are going on around town as we get closer to the festival.
Denver has decent public transportation, but I'm not sure that you will need to use it all that much to get to events around town. A lot of the best brewpubs and breweries are concentrated around downtown and within walking distance/short cab ride from of your hotel. I would highly recommend using Lyft or Uber to get around Denver. You can even rent bicycles from a public bike share system to get around to a lot of the breweries.
Here are some of my recommendations of places to try to hit during the week:
Brewpubs
Falling Rock Tap House - This place is renowned as one of the best beer bars in the country and a must hit. A lot of the brewery owners and brewers will be hanging out here during the festival. They will be doing special tappings all week long of rare, amazing beers.
Freshcraft - This is another one of my favorite brewpubs in Denver. They will be doing special tappings and tap takeovers during GABF.
Star Bar - Cool dive bar with great craft beer selection. They always do special tap takeovers and bottle release events during GABF.
B-Side - Sister restaurant of Star Bar with a great beer selection and delicious fried chicken. Like Star Bar, they will be doing special tappings during GABF week.
Hops & Pie - Great beer selection with special events and really good food. The downside is that it is not located very close to downtown and it is usually really busy, especially during GABF week, although it should be less busy during the day.
Vine Street - Delicious food and great beer that is brewed in-house.
Breweries
Crooked Stave - Crooked Stave is definitley a must hit. The Source is a cool venue for a brewery and the restaurants inside (Acorn and Comida) are both really delicious.
Great Divide - They expect to open their new state-of-the-art brewing facility by GABF week. Their new brewery is located right by Crooked Stave, so you could hit both in one trip to the River North neighborhood.
Comrade - Comrade's Superpower IPA is the best Colorado-brewed IPA in my opinion. Comrade is located a decent way from downtown, but I think it is worth the commute. I could probably give you a ride over there on Friday afternoon if you are interested.
River North - They have lots of interesting Belgian-style barrel-aged beers and are located downtown by Coors Field.
Station 26 - Station 26 is my neighborhood brewery which is located in a converted firehouse. I think Station 26 and Comrade probably make the best Denver-brewed IPAs.
Ratio Beerworks - They are a relatively new brewery that has been putting out really solid beer since it opened and has a great newly-renovated outdoor space.
Beryl's - They are a relatively new brewery with emphasis on barrel-aged beers. They are located right by Ratio, Epic, and River North, which would make an easy walking brewery tour near downtown.
Black Shirt - They brew all of their beers with a red base, but surprisingly they manage to keep it pretty interesting. One of my favorite beers from GABF last year was their sour red saison aged in pinot noir and whiskey barrels. They are located relatively close to Crooked Stave and the new Great Divide brewery.
TRVE - Heavy metal-themed brewery on Broadway that makes some fantastic sours. I expect they will likely do some sort of special sour release during GABF.
Former Future - Another brewery on Broadway that makes some incredible spontaneous wild ales, although their wild ale production is so limited that I'm not sure if they will have any available during GABF. Their beers are generally very solid.
Copper Kettle - Another good brewery that is a decent way from downtown, but which isn't far from Comrade if you make the trip over to the east side of town.
I'll keep you posted on cools events around town when they are announced. Let me know if you have any questions about anything. I'd love to meet up for some beers when you are in town. Congrats on your first GABF experience with the brewery!
