What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (4 Viewers)

apricot ale - pyramid breweries 3.75/5
African amber - mac and jacks brewing 4/5
toasted lager - blue point brewing 3/5
krusovice imperial 5% 3/5
pineapple ale - postmark brewing 3.25/5
nat bailey lager - Granville island brewing 3.25/5
This is one of my favorites.  Can’t get it down here in FL.  Had it as an “import” last time I was in Vancouver.  Easy drinking and a great summer beer.

ETA: Have misc sours left including 2 cans of Hidden Springs Cracktus.  I might hit one of those tonight.

Not taking part in Bourbon County Black Friday this year. The variants don't seem that great except for maybe the vanilla.

Wheatwine. Midnight orange,  bramble Rye?

Four Stacks Cheer Up Cherry Weisse.  Nice balance and finish.  Tasty

ETA:  picked up a crowler of Summer Sherbet as well.  👍🏻

I've done BCBS Friday the past 2 years. Not doing it this year.  I still have a lot from past years and I came upon plenty of the stuff after Black Friday.  Supposedly bottle quantities are down this year, but I won't lose sleep if I miss out.  I did fork out 25 bucks for Founders CBS but I passed over Surly Darkness at $25.

West Side Session IPA. Good.

West Side DIPA. Pretty good.

450 North Cookies N Cream Nuggets. Meh.

Coppertail Sorcha O Sullivan IPA. Really good.

450 North Brewing's Fruit Basket Slushy (Passionfruit, mango, pink guava Berliner)

Fan. Friggin. Tastic.

This and their Raspberry Plum Slushy are some of the best berliners I've had. Just incredible.

They’ve got some good stuff.  I’ve not had it, but I hear many good things.

i   had a Civil Society Fresh with Dragonfruit  and vanilla. Kind of odd . Not quite a sour. Not quite an IPA. Maybe my CS expectations are too high.

Also had Tracks which was wonderful.

FYI Earth Fare has 20% off beer today (Black Friday) only. They had regular Bourbon County up front with plenty in stock.

I'm generally not a fan of IPAs with vanilla and fruit, or sour IPAs, but last night had a 450 North Double Froot Milkshake IPA with strawberry and vanilla and it was delicious.

Stick to hops at CIvil and you'll be fine.

I'm having a Hidden Springs Ambrosia Berliner...really friggin good.

It's labeled as an IPA.  The finish was lacking for an IPA.  I thought it might be more milkshake but it wasnt. It was good. Just not CS good.

CS stout like King Gary / Prince Gary / Bella are phenomenal too. I sampled  several of them last weekend at the festival and they were crazy good..

I always forget about the King Gary variants. They're really good.

Sprecher Mango Radler.  Had one left over from the Summer.  I like it.  Perfect for the season elsewhere and Florida every day.

Cigar City Cider and Mead Wise ##### (p-rick) Cider. Haven’t been here in 3 years.  WTH was I thinking?

Over the holidays I had 2 seasonals that I really stood out to me:

UFO Winter Blonde - Vanilla coffee meets a refreshing hefeweizen

Harpoon Winter Warmer - Cinnamon and nutmeg in a beer

I also had some Sam Adams Oktoberfest that was excellent as always.  I had Southern Tier Old Man Winter Ale that was good but I didn't love it.  I also had some Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager which I've had before and still like a lot.  The Vienna Lager to me is like a more flavorful maltier version of my normal standby of Yuengling Lager.

mocha porter - Granville island brewing 3.5/5
English bay pale ale - Granville island brewing 3.5/5
hazy trail pale ale - whistler brewing company 3/5
red racer white ale - red racer brewing 4.25/5
red racer india session ale - red racer brewing 3/5
red racer imperial india pale ale - red racer brewing 3.5/5
adrift hop blonde - Britannia brewing 3/5
serie sevatica : gose with black lime - luppolo brewing 2.5/5
thor's hammer - red racer brewing 3.5/5

At Coppertail to grab a Six pack and having a Blackberry Cucumber mixed fermentation blonde...damn good, totally tastes like a full blown sour, the fruit and cuke are really intense.

Did not like the strawberry tangerine variant quite as much although it was decent.

The watermelon gose is really something. The smell is completely off-putting but the taste is really solid. It's like drinking a piece of salted watermelon. Delicious.

Did a beer pairing night last week with the rep from Muskoka, the beers being paired weren't anything new, most mainstays in their lineup - we went to help our friend who was running it fill it up. Muskoka is one of the original craft brewers up here - been around 20+ years, so basically knew what we were getting into and all the pairings were fun.

At the end of the night, he pulled out a couple bottles of their double chocolate Cranberry stout from 2012 - he's got a big cellar full of beer he showed us photos of. It was so smooth having aged that long, it's a good stout fresh but a bit sweet for my tastes, aged it was incredible.

@Osaurus this Friday one of my favorite local food trucks, Vanchetta, is gonna be a Leaven Brewing from 5pm - 9pm...Im working all weekend but I highly recommend trying the Vanchetta sandwich from them if you have never tried it and you can make it up there. Sliced slow roasted porchetta, apple slaw, red onion marmalade, provolone cheese and garlic aioli on a toasted roll...it's heavenly.

I am familiar with Vanchetta.  I live about 5 miles from Leaven.  Thanks for the heads up.  When are we grabbing a beer?  We’re overdue imo.

Drank almost all the sours on tap at Rapp and Pieracy, It’s a Crime from Arkane last Sunday. Also had Unreliable Narrator, Bears on a Rampage, and Darmok and Jalada at Tenagra (lol @ the reference) at Hidden Springs last Saturday.  Grabbed a 4 pack of Jedi Mind Trick as well. Hidden Springs is one of my favorite breweries in Tampa Bay.

Threes is quickly moving up my list of favorite Brooklyn breweries.  I had a There is no There There triple IPA last night.  Very tasty.
