What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (3 Viewers)

Fat Orange Cat - Baby Kittens NEIPA, very good.

Yuengling is finally coming to Michigan on August 11.
Yuengling kinda sucks
Seems like it has a cultish following.
It does. I always heard everyone talk it up and got to try it in Pittsburgh thought it was ok then had it a few times later and meh
Meh is a good description of Yuengling. I suppose fine for what it is, but an amber lager is never going to wow. Knowing how many good craft breweries there are in Michigan, nothing I’d get really excited about. Sort of like a Domino’s opening in Naples.

Bud Light Platinum. It's the only low carb beer I can find with a decent abv (6%).

I'm hoping I can resume actual beer drinking here soon.

Heady Topper tonight. Not quite as good as Maine Brewing’s Dinner but still about as good a DIPA can be. It’s so good and so fresh. Canned 5/29 and I’m drinking it right from that can.

at the pool after a century bike ride. This might be the last time we go to the pool this year, but hopefully next week is decent. Then we go to the beach for a week and the pool closes before we return.

Yellowhammer Gold - a local light lager.

Might drink another later, perhaps a Trader Joe’s cookie butter beer. It’s sweet but good enough after a good workout.

Weather is starting to turn to fall, football is back so I felt like a BA stout. Just cracked open a 2024 Buckley from Transient. This is exactly what I was looking for, smooth oak, coffee, maple and vanilla.
Did you get it from Transient? I am 5 min from there. Fantastic brewery.

Unfortunately, never made it out there. I've had many of their beers though, good stuff always. But this I picked up at a party store by my house.

What store is carrying it? That’s a store I want to check out. M4 is their distributor, they do a lot of the small breweries.

Transient is pretty easy to find here in SE Michigan. Not that it's at every party store but I have a couple within in 10 minutes drive of my house that always have 3-10 different Transient beers for sale. My one beef with Transient is when I am buying their IPAs, they don't put a date on the can so it's hard to tell what is fresh and what has been sitting at the store for months. But Transient is one of the 3 or 4 breweries that I buy pretty regularly. It's good stuff. I would love to check out their taproom. Is it a good spot?

Not really - no tv, no kitchen (has food trucks though), dog friendly. I’ll ask about the codes. He has about 15-20 different for sale there. There are two more breweries within a mile though.

If you make the drive over, shoot me a DM.

Yep some tasting rooms go that route. Kind of weird to me to not even have any TVs but I guess they are looking for a certain audience and certain vibe. If I find myself that way, I will hit you up. What are the other brewiest you like that way?
