What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

Just got the call that work is closed tomorrow. I will now commence with drinking, starting with Firestone Walker Union Jack IPA.

Stone Crime and Stone Punishment.

Bourbon casked aged Arrogant and Double Arrogant Bastards. Oh me oh my I'm in heaven.
Holy #### this stuff is infused with (hot ###) peppers. First sip blew my mind. Definitely a good sipping beer for the beautiful game. Now on to Black Butte and Velvet Merlin.

Dogfish Head Miles Davis #####es Brew

Had some after dinner (stout-braised short ribs) .... Jet black, got better as it warmed toward room temp ... Awesome!

:lmao: I was wondering why you left that part out of your first description. I hear that thing is hot as hell.

Wife and I split a Pipeworks Alien Invasion (coffee, vanilla Imperial stout) and I think next time I visit Chicago, I am just spending all my beer money on Pipeworks. I continue to be more and more impressed with them every beer.

Pipeworks is great. Do they have a taproom yet? I heard a few months ago they were going to be filling growlers and selling bottles directly sometime soon. Also keep an eye on Spiteful in Chicago. Everything I've had from them has been good.

No clue, I just heard of Pipeworks from this thread and I have family in Chicago, so when I visit, I usually pick up some beer at Binny's that isn't available in Michigan. If they do have a taproom, I might have to convince some family to join me there.

no taproom that I'm aware of. they don't even have any signage on their building that I can see.

Are they that small or is this them developing some sort of mystique branding?

I've actually been inside their brewery. It's a real interesting setup.

Their shop right now is next to a used car dealer. They have made an arrangement with their landlord to take over the building of the used car lot and make that their tap room.

I think it should be open some time this spring.

I had a Saison Poivre just this past Saturday. Solid brewery.

Coronado Brewing Orange Avenue Wit

I like it. Probably too orange for most and I'm not usually a fan but this works.

Also, working in an 75 degree greenhouse has me buying summer beers.

I went to a tap takeover by Perennial Artisan Ales (St. Louis, MO) in Denver today. I had Perennial's Abraxas imperial stout, which is brewed with ancho chiles, cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and cinnamon sticks. I also had their Penrose Hereafter Belgian specialty ale, which is brewed with white sage and pears. Both beers were quite good. I'm pretty impressed with Perennial and will watch out for more of their stuff in the future.

Had the worst beer ever last night. Ordered a Purple Haze. Vile stuff.so bad i only took a few sips, we back to the bar and got another beer.

Had a "1604 Reserva" from Spain yesterday, and oddly enough it reminded me of the old Dixie (back when there were some decent bottling, decent water and ingredients used).

Elevation Oil Man bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout

Epic Big Bad Baptist whiskey barrel-aged imperial stout with cocoa nibs and coffee added

Odell Bourbon Barrel Stout

Elevation Señorita imperial porter with vanilla and cinnamon added

Strangely, Odell's Bourbon Barrel Stout was infected. It was so sour that it reminded me if the Bruery's Tart of Darkness. I actually really enjoyed it nonetheless, although it was clearly not what the brewers intended.

Sebow - any chance your at PPort for the game? I'm here for lunch and owe you a cold one.

Surf check alley is the shiizzzzzzznit
