What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

Community Beer Works had their 2nd birthday party last night.

Dry-hopped cask coffee brown (good), single-hop Apollo IPA (exceptional), and their Berliner weisse (!!) were the standouts.

I'm going to a "bottle-share" with some beer geeks for the Wisconsin game later. Need to find that bottle in the cellar that will meet the geek standard but still something I don't mind sharing with random dudes.
nice, and the options are?
I ended up bringing something from Cigar City, a collaboration they made with the Bruery that I've had in the cellar for a couple years. It was a very good, but the true sign that I picked wisely was when six of seven guys in the room (everyone but me) have their phones out so they can tick a beer for the first time on untapped.
neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerds ;)
Despite often drinking way too often, I'm pretty confident I know every beer I have ever had. I can't name them all from the top of my head, but if you ask me, I can remember if I had it and what I thought.
 I'm just ####### with them, I still rate pretty much any beer I drink, assuming I get more than a taster (otherwise I don't bother). My buddy at work has gotten really into Untappd....I've used it here and there but it never really took off for me. My RateBeer account has enough meat to it to where I'd just tick the beers there if I wanted to tick.

I'm going to the "What the Funk" beer festival in Denver tonight, which features all sour/wild ales and barrel-aged beers. The lineup is pretty ridiculous with all the big craft brewers in town for Craft Beer Convention Week. Some of the big boys here include Avery, Bell's, Cantillon, Cigar City, Crooked Stave, Destihl, Evil Twin, Firestone Walker, Goose Island, Jester King, Jolly Pumpkin, Lost Abbey, New Belgium, Perennial, Prarie, Russian River, Side Project, Surly, the Bruery, and Wicked Weed. It should be awesome. My first stop is going to be Cigar City for their Double Barrel Hunahpu imperial stout.

I've had several of the Russian River sours and they were fantastic. Enjoy!

Driving down to Destin, Florida next Friday from Wisconsin. Staying in Nashville for a night on the way down, any breweries outside of Cigar City that I should look for in Nashville or in Destin? I wanted to try and stop at Good People in Birmingham.

Been on a torpedo kick lately as it is the only IPA they serve in this cowboy town. And on cue, server just informs us we've drank them out of stock. On to the ol' pale ale.

Russian River Consecration dark wild ale aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels

Allagash Broken Elevator dark wild ale aged in wine and bourbon barrels

Liefmans Goudenband oude bruin

Avery Tweak coffee imperial stout

Avery Samael's Ale English barleywine

Avery Opuntia wild ale aged in tequila barrels with prickly pears

I watched the World Beer Cup award ceremony live at Falling Rock, which is just a few blocks from where the ceremony was held. The whole place was packed with brewers from all over the world. It was pretty cool.

Founders kbs for Buckeyes spring game!
I just cracked open a Founders KBS myself. This beer is so ridiculously good. It may be my perfect beer. It's a beautiful harmony of coffee, expresso, chocolate, creamy vanilla, bourbon, oak, oatmeal, cinnamon, and cherry flavors.

What's up with Bell's Brewery? I was psyched to see it at my local beer distributor finally but I'm seeing it all over now, even at 7/11
