What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

Just did a Black Tuesday vertical plus the run barrel variant. And a bunch of other #### as palate cleansers like Nelson and some sours and stuff
This wasa huge mistake
:lmao: Not the first time a late night post was regretted the next day here. I've been there a few times myself. We will never learn.

Seven 19% beers with Nelson chasers and sour breaks. It seemed like such a good idea at the time...

deep river, the kern river and knee deep colab... it was ok... more knee deep influences.. i was hoping for more of the citrus/clean finishes that kern has

victory at sea

Sure Bet and Black Tuna were awesome. Pipeworks kills it but this isn't news. I still can't believe I found a Sure Bet on the shelf. I just about tore my rotator cuff reaching for it.

Hawks64 or other Chicagoguys...I am going to the Hawks game tonight. I haven't been to the UC in a long time. Where do I find the better beer? I believe they have Sculpin, maybe Daisy Cutter, etc.

If they do they just started with it this year. Last year they had #### for beer. LET'S GO HAWKS!! Need a W tonight Ditka....better bring it home! Have a blast man....Hawks games are so much fun!

So far today:

PW Hey careful man there's a beverage here - Excellent white milk stout, just enough sweetness.

Dark Horse Tres Blueberry Stout - not very good, you can taste the blueberry but very very heavy on the smoke. Too much smoke for a stout IMO

Sierra Nevada Hoptimum - good DIPA not great. Hops are nice but a bit too heavy on the malt.

1st delivery of the beer club I received for Christmas was delivered today. Haven't tried any but the 12 pack was

Christian Moerlein -Over the Rhine Ale-Cincy

RJ Rockers-Brown Eyed Squirrel-South Carolina

Kerstmutske - Christmas Nightcap-Belguim

Noel des Geants-Belgium

Had Hop Nosh on draft Sat night...it was fantastic...it was the last beer of the night, I need to revisit it and see if it was that good or if I was that drunk...

Was it on nitro? I mostly see it on nitro. I love nitro beers. Doesn't work with all IPAs though. Does with Hop Nosh

Abita Macchiato Espresso Milk Stout - very good milk stout, could be a bit smoother. I will be looking for another bomber this week.

Yes Unita, but not nitro. I've seen it in cans but have never tried it...on draft it was just awesome. Again, I was pretty lit when I had it so my taste buds may have been fried. Gonna revisit it this weekend.

Last Stop IPA

Due South Cat 3 IPA

Will probably have a couple more of each...

Edit: the Cat 3 IPA is better than I originally thought...still not quite as good as Jai Alai IMO, but a pretty good IPA. Good enough to add to future trades (along with Coppertail Free Dive)

Heyoka IPA, Alpha King
In Chicago?

I also got Alpha King with the new label. Almost walked right past it. And some canned Sculpin. Sixer of each. Was hoping they would have Senita but no dice. Was hoping to get a couple of sixers of those.

The store also had canned Hop Nosh on sale for $2.99 a sixer so got 6 of those (a sixer of sixers, if you will) and Castaway IPA for $13 a case so got a couple of those.

So much for going the stout route.

No, friend of mine just got back from there and hooked me up with a few beers. 2.99 a sixer? What is this Hop Nosh?

Formerly Hop Notch from Uinta. In fairness the "best before date" is 1-15 but I find cans to be more forgiving. Plus it was 2.99 a sixer.

Lakeland Brewing Company's Pah'le Ah'le and 80 Acre Abraham IPA.

Meh on both. So disappointed. Was hoping with Cigar City in our backyard they would bring it and showcase some hoppy beers. Not the case.

how's the Heyoka?
It's good, I got some last week as well :)

Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA. It's good not great, not sure I would get it again. Really has a ton of green tea taste at the front. Nicely hopped IPA at the finish and like a typical Stone IPA very little malt.

I'm a green tea fan...and I love stone, but this didn't work. Opened it up at our party last night and shared with 9-10 people. All thumbs down.

Ballast Point Dorado is fantastic. IIPA.

New stone enjoy by 2/26, wonderful

I drank a case of it this year and I love it. Was getting others' thoughts.

Any new Pipeworks I need to look out for?
