Standard IPA, nothing special. It's good, but not necessarily 'outstanding'.

Cletius, hare you still seeing the cran-bic around? If so, what part of the state. Down by me I can't seem to find it, I would imagine a trip to Discount in Milwaukee could net me some cran-bic. I bought the Chocolate Ale yesterday and plan to try one while watching the Badgers tonight. On a side note, anyone heading to the Canadian Breakfast Stout release today? I am hoping to get some from my liquor store, not sure how much I can get.

it was a blend of 3-year, 2-year, and 1-year sours, IIRC. I got it as an extra in a trade back in May...I think it was released around that time.

Here in Virginia, we don't have private liquor stores like Maryland (where I grew up); you buy beer in grocery stores, Rite Aid, convenience stores, etc... So you don't find the smaller exotics in the beer/wine aisle in those places. However, their are a couple of gourmet places in my small town that sell higher-end beer and wine. Stopped in one today and bought a bottle of Augustijn Belgian Ale (it's corked like champagne). I'm no beer expert - usually drink the grocery store brands - but man, I really like this. It's on the lighter side, which I prefer.

What did you think of the Noble Chaos?Also, which Shorts IPA? They have a dozen.

I liked the Chaos. I'm not a huge fan of that style so wold never buy a 6-pack or tackle a bomber by myself, but a glass at the right time of year is nice. Not sure which IPA it was. I went back to look at the empties and noticed I also had a Cigar City Madura and a Surly Bender that night. I think my buddy took home the Short's empties for homebrewing. The IPA was pretty good though. Not as hoppy and bitter as I normally like my IPAs, but definitely drank the whole thing and would revisit.
