What's up w/ Donald Driver? (1 Viewer)

I thought I heard today that Donald Hayes might have broken a rib or something. I was getting into my car to come to work and I didn't hear the whole report.

Does anybody know if he is hurt?

Sorry in advance if I got the story wrong. Like I said I only heard the very end of a small report that was on the radio.

CBS shows him as Questionable with hurt ribs. Official report out later this afternoon.

Donald Driver, WR GBNews: Head coach Mike McCarthy said that wide receiver Donald Driver will be listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Rams due to a rib and hip injury.Analysis: If Driver is unable to play, that would mean rookie Greg Jennings would like be the go-to receiver for QB Brett Favre (head, shoulder), assuming he is able to play.

He did take a pretty hard shot to the midsection going across the middle, but he came back into the game and finished.

He did appear okay, but he did, indee, take a shot. It is difficult to put up decent stats when your QB is throwing the ball to the other team though (at least in the 2nd half). Especially in the 2nd half, Philly seemed to have the ball forever.Just checked the stats - Philly did have the ball for 6 1/2 minutes to start the 3rd . It also seemed like Favre was trying to spread the ball around and GB looked like they were trying to establish the run early. Many of the passes to Driver were underneath stuff. Plus Philly just did a decent jon on defense (22/44 isn't a great completion percentage for Favre)

I assumed he would play this upcoming week until I noticed the Pack were on bye next week so I think if he's still hurting the fact he is on bye next week will increase the chance they will sit him and give him 2 full weeks to heal.

Donald Hayes? Geez, there's a Freudian slip blast from the past.

In other news, how's Irv Smith oops Kellen Winslow Jr.'s knee?

:)

Caught that too - Paprika must not only be a Blue's Clues fan, but also a Wisconsin Badger fan and maybe even Madison East Purgolder fan ??

Driver is one of the most gunshy WRs in the league (and rightly so- he has taken some hard hits). The way to take him out of the game is to hit him hard and make him pay. He will back off from balls, get alligator arms, and be tentative over the middle.

That is precisely why Jennings develops into the #1 as the year progresses.

I disagree with this because I feel like if it were true he wouldn't have anywhere near the stats he puts up

Favre has a tendency to get his WR in tough (read: dangerous) situations with his crazy throws so I'm sure we'll see how Jennings handles the situation as time rolls by. And I don't really agree with your Driver assessment, despite Monday night's drop on the quick slant which after an earlier huge hit over the middle.
