Is he going to look like Devin Hester counting the steps on his routes when they put him at receiver? He looked good in college, just sounds like he was smokin up and forgetting routes etc in BUF. Maybe he'll put it together like Josh Gordon has this season? I hope so

Whalen was really bad and it was surprising he was even getting a chance.

Any homers have any insight into who is going to get increased reps due to Whalen being cut? Whalen did have 17 targets over the last 3 weeks. Do they just get more targets to Fleener/Hilton/DHB? Does Brazil get some looks? Will Rogers even suit up on Sunday?

We are gonna find out the answers to those question on Sunday. He still may not suit up. I'm sure Whalen played special teams and they signed some DB to take his spot. That guy will probably play special teams as well. However there are only 3 other WRs because David Reed is a nobody.

 
Rogers seemed to suggest on Twitter earlier this week that he'll be playing this week. Someone made a comment about hoping to see him on the field soon, and he said: "Sunday, bro."

 
Strange indeed. They left him inactive despite waving a fan favorite at WR (Griff Whalen) this past Tuesday. They promoted another TE from practice squad in Justice Cunningham who is active today.

Because he can't even get on the field in spite of the utter mess at WR for Indy. Even with a 10-day stretch to get ready for this week. It just confirms all the red flags that already existed.

Coach said he will get his chance. Perhaps they are just making him earn it given his history. I don't think that is at all a bad thing.

 
Cut because he sucked at what he was signed to do - return kicks. Worthless as a WR. Rainey signed to return kicks. Da'Rick becomes the #4 WR so he should be active this week.

Take a look a the #### they trot out at the WR position. They have cut 2 bums in the last few weeks. Teams now just roll coverage to Hilton and the game is over. DHB is pure trash. Brazill is just ok. There is nothing else. He gets in the game this week. You will want him on your team before he gets on the field.

On top of that I am a guru in evaluating WR talent.

I think so. Likely is going to have to earn his keep. It's good for him that Reggie is around to show him the ropes. I think he'll see some action in the next few weeks. Even if he doesn't, I think you hold until next season.

Since he was on the practice squad it may say he needed a couple of weeks of practice and some time working with Luck.

Probably still won't see anything this week. Wouldn't be surprised if he's held to a single target or even held without one. Still think his time will come...if not for his raw talent, simply for the fact that at some point Pagano has to bench DHB for doing shoryuken uppercuts on the ball instead of trying to catch it.

This could be interesting. The Colts need a spark on offense and they know it. But he is still a rookie WR so limited snaps and inconsistency are to be expected. Tavon Austin and Justin Hunter have just become fantasy relevant. There's no way he knows all the hot reads and route adjustments yet. There could be major dynasty appeal if he develops chemistry with Luck. Stashing..

I wonder if there's ever been this much of an over-hyped practice squad WR ever

Get ready for the gripes when he has 1 catch for 7 yards.

In all honesty, even if this kid works out, he's probably 2 more years away from fantasy relevance.

Chances that Indy goes into 2014 season with Hilton and no one behind him exeot for DHB and Rogers as the WR3 are extremely slim. Assuming Wayne is done. Watch them go out and sign a good WR. Emmanuel Sanders comes to mind

These are all valid arguments but sometimes these guys do hit though and if you have room on your roster why not? Just this year Jarrett Boykin and Andre Holmes come to mind. Both bounced around the league and they have no where near the QB talent. Danario Alexander bounced around the league last year and helped win a lot of championships. But I do agree that often times they go right back to the wire.

Are you suggesting Andrew luck > Aaron Rodgers?

I have no problem with people bringing up guys who could be good pick ups and turn into decent starters. I just think it's funny when people hype these guys to such a level, that when they do play and only get a couple receptions for a couple yards, they complain. What do you honestly expect??

Rogers isn't going to be your saving grace this season. Even next season it's very questionable. Those in dynasty I can see stashing him. It makes sense. Aside from that, pass
