Who Ends Up on Your Roster Every Year? (1 Viewer)

Thought this could be a different approach to undervalued players. Seems there are are two general categories, generally un-sexy players (like a pre-injury Dunn) and veteran players some write off as "done".

I always end up with "old" receivers like Marty Booker, who I still like late.

My other frequent player is Favre -- gotta like the yards, but I may challenge myself this year on him..sometimes the herd is right.

So, who are your "perennial" value picks?

Always seem to end up with Eddie Kennison KC, old, slowing down wr, but always seem to a value where he ends up.

The new one I am adding to my list is Leonard RB of the RAMS, kid looks great, will steal some (TBD) touches from Jackson, and cheap insurance if anything happens to Jackson.

Terry Glenn is one that always seems to fall way too far...Joey Galloway too. I always think that people write off veteran running backs too quickly after a team drafts a young running back...like Foster and Henry last year.

I've had Thomas Jones on my roster in some way every year since his rookie season...Granted early on he wasn't on my roster by the end of the season. I've had Jake Plummer, Lee Evans, Larry Fitzgerald and Chris Chambers alot also....

I seem to have ended up with Holt in the second round in 75% of my leagues every year for the last 3-4 and have yet to be dissapointed.

Just got him at 2.12 in my first draft of the year and thought I stole him to pair with LT. :goodposting:

i think last year was the first year in a 3 year streak that i didn't have rod smith on my roster. he was always a good late round pickup for me.

I'm waiting for someone to admit they always end up with LT in their redraft league...
:wave:OK not "always" but LT, Rudi, and Dunn have been on my roster the last 2 yrs in an auction redraft (and a time or 2 before that). I doubt any will make the roster this year for various reasons. Either Crumpler or Gonzo tends to end up my TE most years too (incl Gonzo's breakout year back when).

Driver and T. Jones.

Driver is a #1 WR at a #2WR price. T. Jones is a #2 RB at a #3 RB price.

Previous to them, it was always Tom Brady and Tiki Barber. Barber has retired, but Brady's price is now too high when before he was always a 7th or 8th round steal.

I will almost always draft Boldin and Ward on the offensive side, since they've always been consistent performers. I'm also taking Ernie Sims and Chad Greenway in every league I can, because I love their youth and talent, especially in that system.

sadly, it has always been Tiki Barber. Plenty of Kennison (very late) and Driver. This year, only Driver.
last year i won the championship in my league (my first time ever winning it), and Tiki and Driver were both on my roster. :goodposting: it was my second year in a row having Tiki. i'm going to miss him this year.

I always seem to get Favre and Driver later than they should be available.
Those are the two guys for me, too, especially Driver. The only year I haven't had him since he became a full time starter was 2003, his 2nd year as a starter, when his ADP was higher than I thought he was worth and sure enough, he had his worst season. The next year, I got him around the 9th round and he was money. I've paid higher prices for him since then, but he's been worth it.

Steven Jackson every year of his pro career. (I draft 12th this year, so that streak will end, barring a trade)

Frank Gore every year (see above)

Lee Evans

Shayne Graham

I also drafted Warrick Dunn just about every year as a RB3..always was able to land him for great value year in year out.

Although somes years he was not great. But still a great fill in player and sometimes really good starter

I always have freddie on my team at some point during the season. I drafted him in my dynasty this year, but couldn't turn down a trade that was basically freddie for Chicago.

I will almost always draft Boldin and Ward on the offensive side, since they've always been consistent performers. I'm also taking Ernie Sims and Chad Greenway in every league I can, because I love their youth and talent, especially in that system.
Interesting ...who are these guys? Please tell me more as to why you want them!TIA

This will be the first year I haven't had Tomlinson on my roster in our auction keeper. Here's hoping that getting S Jackson and saving a few bucks pays off this year.

I pretty much always pick Phil Dawson as my backup kicker and token Longhorn.
