So the problem is with the overt act of filming the process? We all know it happens every day, but when you throw the thing in our face (and act as if it's normal) then we are outraged?
Yes. Because it makes a very serious situation seem flippant. Would you approve of an executioner filming his job of injecting poison into someone and making it a light and happy occasion?
How should she feel? She was trying to portray the other end of the spectrum. I'm sure some women choose not to have an abortion due to the guilt. Even when an abortion is the right decision.
If a woman was to videotape her own suicide due to the guilt she felt, would the pro-life people say she got what she deserved?
You are really all over the place here....not sure what you are trying to say.
As far as her attitude, it's seems like people want her to feel a certain way (guilty, somber, etc).
How should she feel about terminating her unborn child??
I don't know. I'd settle for anything that's not the equivalent of returning a pair of jeans because you still need to lose a couple of pounds to fit in them...
And there's the problem. You want to tell her how to feel.
She can't tell you how to feel about abortion or her video. Why do you feel you can tell her? The only choice you have from there, is to not watch her video.
How about a little reverence for the life you are terminating?? Just a little. You have the right to do it because the state says you do, but how about a little acknowledgement of what you are actually doing?? The only requirement is not to film the thing, thereby making it a spectator sport. Otherwise, nobody knows that she doesn't give a crap that she just ended a life.
We are allowed to be disgusted if somebody beats the crap out of and kills dogs and has no remorse, but not if they terminate their unborn child??
