Just wondering what everyone thinks will be the lowest scoring teams this year? The first ones that come to mind are the Browns, Bucs, and Raiders.
I am not that low on the Raiders. Bucs are a mystery because of the QB situation. Browns didn't get that much better. I don't like the Bills (the O-line is horrible) or STL (injury bug is already here...).Just wondering what everyone thinks will be the lowest scoring teams this year? The Raiders should at least have a running game. I put STL toward the bottom. Their offensive personnel are dreck except for SJax and the injured Avery. SJax won't be able to do a whole lot by himself.Just wondering what everyone thinks will be the lowest scoring teams this year? The first ones that come to mind are the Browns, Bucs, and Raiders.
No to both. No matter how bad Orton is, Clady/Hamilton/Weigmann/Kuper/Harris/Graham/Scheffler/Royal/Moreno/(Marshall?) is far too good of a core for the Broncos to be a bottom-scoring offense. Besides, that terrible defense means they'll be in a lot of shootouts. The Ravens had the 11th best scoring offense last season, and look objectively better this year with the maturation of Flacco and Rice alone.Redskins are also probably a bit of a stretch. Their defense should give their offense plenty of short fields, and Campbell/Portis/Santana Moss might not be the sexiest set of "triplets", but it'll be enough to keep them out of the basement.broncos, ravens
Not as bad as "no offensive TDs for six consecutive weeks" can still be pretty darn bad.St. Louis is my bet for #32. Cleveland started Ken Dorsey in most of those games they didn't score a TD in last year, so I don't think they'll be quite as bad this year.
Wrong...we started Bruce Gradkowski too.PlasmaDogPlasma said:St. Louis is my bet for #32. Cleveland started Ken Dorsey in most of those games they didn't score a TD in last year, so I don't think they'll be quite as bad this year.
I don't think the Raiders are going to be that bad on offense either. I do have to agree with the Bucs, Browns and Rams. While I'm concerned about the Bills "O" line, I think the no huddle will mitigate some of the issues that they have there so long as Edwards remains healthy. I could see the "O" line problems creating an impact in Seattle, but I can't see them slipping as far as those 1st 3 teams.I am not that low on the Raiders. Not a bad list here, although I would remove the Ravens and Skins. I think the addition of McNabb and Shanny will make this offense move out of the bottom 10. I also believe Flacco takes another step forward and adding Boldin moves this team up and out of the bottom 10.I would replace the Skins and Ravens with the Bills and the Bucs.browns, broncos, chiefs, rams, redskins, niners, ravens... no specific order
Just so you know, that list is from 2009.rotohuff said:Not a bad list here, although I would remove the Ravens and Skins. Man, I hate that I read this whole thing only to realize it is a year old. I know I should mouse over the thread title before I open one, but how about we let people know up front???Just so you know, that list is from 2009.rotohuff said:Not a bad list here, although I would remove the Ravens and Skins. It took all the way until post #17 for someone to mention the Bills...I guess my expectations are lower than most.CRAP...just saw this is a year old. And to think I thought there may be hope for Buffalo yet. Oh well--back to my 3-13 expectations.Top (or is that bottom) five candidates :BuffaloTampa BayClevelandDenverWashington
I guarantee that won't happen.20 players on IR last year, 2-5 in games decided by a TD or less.**** Jauron is gone. That is worth 5 more points a game right there.Jed said:Bills will be the worst in the league IMO. I think Jake and the possible emergence of Harrison as a real threat will keep the Browns O from being horrible, but probably still bottom 10.How could you list the Ravens as bottom 10? They may be in the top 10 by the end of the year.
