WR George Pickens, PIT (1 Viewer)

Steelers Depot
Steelers WR George Pickens told Jason Mackey of the PPG that we still haven't witnessed 100% of his ability. "I'd probably say 80%. I can only go off of how the quarterback plays. I can thrive more. … The yardage showed it. I should have made the Pro Bowl." #Steelers #NFL

That kind of quote doesn’t bode well for long term stability/success. Waaaaay too selfish, “not my fault” kind of crap for me. I’ll be looking to move once he goes off for a win now RB or a future 1st in the 1 league where I roster Pickens.

Pickens has been given a raw deal with the Canada/Pickett disaster....I'd have a chip on my shoulder too.

Steelers are wasting his talent and costing Pickens some big time money with their front office incompetence. Hopefully they are righting the ship, but Arthur Smith isn't exactly Andy Reid and Russel Wilson isn't exactly Patrick Mahomes.

I'm on team Pickens here until the Steelers actually make some good decisions on offense. I consider Pickens a nice buy low where he is certain to find a better situation as he'll eventually be able to leave the Steelers dumpster fire. He is one of the five most talented WRs in the game IMHO.

“Steelers plan on making third-year wide receiver George Pickens more versatile in his formation alignments this season. He confirmed to reporters at minicamp on Wednesday that he’s playing in the slot more than ever in new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith’s system.”

Pretty wild what he accomplished last season with arguably the worst QBs in the league (Pickett, Trubisky, that other dude).

Reminds me of Antonio Brown circa 2013. A 100/1500/10 stat line this season would not surprise me at all. He has the talent to be a top 5 WR with overall #1 upside.

I'm glad most people hate him/Russ/Fields/Steelers and his value is still being suppressed.

All aboard :towelwave:

Ideal WR3 pick, who gives WR2 (and maybe more) production. Steelers offense in general is underrated I think. Regardless of who is the QB, its better than what they had a year ago, and so is the OC.

Aiyuk not signing evaporates the Pickens 'dip'. I took him at pick #56 in Rd5 back mid Aug and now and the ADP is at 57. I think climbing to the 4/5 turn is now in store. I even heard experts saying 3rd round if people knew Aiyuk to Steelers was 100% not going to happen, but that is too rich for me.

-I'm also curious if this link works? Maybe folks know why no images can be added to posts? used imgur to get a screenshot of the dip. Here is My crappy graphic.

I see plays in preseason w/ Russ and Fields, he passes the eye test to me. Just gotta worry about Arthur Smith imo.

I took Pickens as my WR2 at #61 because I never thought a trade would happen.

(Not pictured: Me taking Chase as my WR1 because I never thought a holdout would happen.)
