Spitting is crappy, and I agree with Chase being suspended, and his defense is mind-numbingly idiotic. but this is not remotely true. Technically, you can't "get AIDS" from anything. AIDS is an advanced stage of HIV. You can't get HIV through saliva.

I always heard that you could get diseases including AIDS (or, okay, HIV, I didn't know that was different) that way. I had never heard otherwise, that is news to me. But I don't really follow or care about medical stuff much. I thought that was the rationale for it being considered assault?

Just looked it up and it sounds like that's true, cannot be transmitted through being spat on. In that case I have no idea why it's considered assault. Unless throwing a paper straw wrapper at someone is also assault.

ETA: Well maybe other diseases could be, though?

I know from personal experience that throwing a paper cup at a car is a felony discharge of a missile. That said, it got reduced to a $25 littering ticket.

It's supposed to be 10 degrees. Anyone have any splits info on Chase in very cold temps? Not that it matters because you play him no matter what. I worry about him having already checked out for the season.

The ball gets hard as a rock n more slick,harder to throw,catch and kick.

Not getting Bijan actually totally screwed me up in one league. Went Chase, McBride, Lamar and then totally whiffed at RB with Pollard and Pacheco. Has dogged me all season...especially early when Cinci was in a total funk.

Somehow in the playoffs and I need a big game. Frigid conditions though.
