Now I know why you think I'm insane for liking Tron: Legacy but disliking the original. :scared:
It was more a culmination of your taste in movies, but to each their own.
Right. Adding up your top 7, there's one we could watch together.
Some have taste. Some don't. Different strokes, and all that.

The Dark Knight

Memento

The Fugitive

Kill Bill Vol 1

Goodfellas

Braveheart

The Bourne Ultimatum

No particular order

Tough to do without going by genre

GF I & II

Shawshank

Usual Suspects

Outlaw Josey Wales

Star Wars

French Connection

There are several movies I don't like, but get why they would show up on these lists: Goodfellas, older comedies like Animal House and Caddyshack.

However, I still don't get why Beautiful Girls and Almost Famous show up on so many of these lists. Don't understand the draw of these movies to grown men.

Changing the topic to most memorable movies at different times of my life

Last Year at Marienbad (for the cinematography)

Vivre Sa Vie (just for the abruptness of the ending)

Band of Outsiders (for the cutaway to the song on the train)

Magnolia/Requiem For A Dream (because I was on drugs?)

Vertigo (because Kim Novak is someone you'd indeed fall for and be obsessed with twice)

Chinatown (Oh, Dear God, even without the backstory)

Pulp Fiction (Blew my mind in '94 at the theatre as soon as **** Dale came on)

eta* Oh, and if I'm being fair to chronology, Sixteen Candles, Big Lebowski and No Country For Old Men should wind up in there somewhere. But we only get seven.
